So I’m building a budget pc and I have around £70 for my gpu and my main options are either a 1070, 1060, 980ti to or a rx 580
Now without deal hunting for ages the 580 is the only one that is always in my budget when I see it closely followed by the 1060 but does it hold up like the others or is it worth getting the 980ti or 1070
Its being paired with a ryzen 5 2600x and I know there will be some gpu bottle neck but I’m okay with that
My main games are games like euro truck, my summer car, house flipper and occasionally some fortnite and gta 5
What would be my best bet for my situation and do you have any other gpu suggestions?
Dual-mode 1080P 480hz works however and so does 4K 240hz over HDMI, but not a single DP port will do audio unless it’s in 1080P mode. I’ve uninstalled and installed drivers, completely removed them with apps and reinstalled them, used multiple DP cables and ports. My 4080 Super works fine so I think it may be a 5090 issue? The coil whine is unbearable too by the way but that another issue
I have the ROG Thor 2 1000W PSU im planning to get the 5090. Is my PSU compatible with the 5090 like will the cables work? I saw some pictures about people who fried their cables because they used the wrong ones.

Hello there are two ram kits one is cl30 and one is cl32 I like the cl32 one because of it's design. Is there a big difference between cl30 and cl32
Hey guys! I've an old 1650 Super that I plan on upgrading it's VRAM. Has anyone done it? Mine has 2 empty slots, I remember someone saying his ran just fine with 0 BIOS mods just slapped the bonus chips and it worked. Do you have any info? Or maybe where I can find such info. I think I'll manage putting the chips on. Modifying the BIOS... not so much but I'm willing to play with it :))
Hey guys, Im looking for a PC build that can run any game at its best settings. The price doesn't matter and I would like it too be black but anything would be fine. I play games like cyberpunk, elden ring, and rdr2. I don't know anything about PCs or where too start but I'm trying too learn. Thank you all for the help.
I'm looking to get a completly new desktop PC and am debating on what CPU and GPU I should get. I do alot of gaming from Marvel Rivals, to MSFS, to Universe Sandbox, to CP77 but I also like to build/train/play around with AI models and do computer vision stuff, amongst other things. I've been saving up to get a top of the line PC so not too worried about budget.
My current GPU/CPU: 3080/i9-10850K
What I'm looking at: 5080 or 5090 and 9950x3d or 7950x3d
I know I'll probably be waiting for some time since the 50 series just released but I want to plan now so I know what to look for. I'm not that knowledgable in PC parts so I'm open to other options as well!
Hey guys! Canadian here. For the last few months, there has been 0 issues getting a 4070 ti super or 4080 super. Even like 2 weeks ago, there were no stock issues. I check today and they are ALL out of stock. Am I missing something? With 5xxx, have they stopped production? Are suppliers not stocking up because of the new tariffs? Curious what you guys think.
Sadly, someone who wans to upgrade 4060 ti 16gb to 4080 super 16gb :(

Was this a good deal or not?
I've started having an issue where my PC will not show a display intermittently when I boot it up. I try all the ports on my Graphics card including running a HDMI to my TV instead of my monitor with no display on either. I am able to hook up my Switch to both the monitor and TV for output.
The weird thing is that when I unplug both my monitor and PC for 10+ minutes I am mostly able to get a display on the first boot. But the subsequent will have no display.
I just put my PC in sleep mode and after exiting sleep mode I seem to have a display. For reference I have the following GPU/CPU:
Any Suggestions?
I recently played Detroit: Become Human, and Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection. I really enjoyed both of these games: the story and the gameplay aspects. Can anyone recommend some other games that I might enjoy that are similar in that they have a good storyline? Types of games I am not interested in are games like League of Legends. I appreciate any suggestions!

For a brief summary of stop killing games: Videogames are being destroyed! Most video games work indefinitely, but a growing number are designed to stop working as soon as publishers end support. This effectively robs customers, destroys games as an artform, and is unnecessary. Our movement seeks to pass new law in the EU to put an end to this practice. Our proposal would do the following:
Require video games sold to remain in a working state when support ends.
Require no connections to the publisher after support ends.
Not interfere with any business practices while a game is still being supported.

Im looking into buying a new gaming pc, i have no idea where to look. I have a budget of around 1000~1500. Preferably prebuilt cuz I’m lazy
I feel like playing max settings at a lower resolution is better than playing medium settings at a higher resolution. Gaming on a 1660 has really helped me to realize this. 1080p at max settings looks better than 1440p on medium settings by a significant margin.
Waiting on a 5090 to go back to 4k gaming.
After random time spans on steam Vrc my pc just black screens. My fans start working overdrive and my pc crashes. I then have to reinstall my drivers again because of a code 31 I'm running a 7700xt and the highest temp it'd ever reached were at about 80 degrees celsius max. I even watched its temp while i was playing. I've Uninstaller and reinstalled the game I've closed all other games while running it and to no avail. Please someone help me because I am now unable to do anything on vrc.
I currently have a 2060 super looking to upgrade was wanting to go to a higher tier 30 series or get at least like a 4060 TI or higher but the price point on Nvidia graphics cards the only stopping point for an upgrade. I have a coworker that has a Intel arc B580 and he says that they are great graphics cards with amazing performance so I was looking into this arc A770 with 16 gigs of RAM going from a 2060 super with 8 gigs of ram. Granted I do love my 2060 super but it’s not able to run games like it used to because of all the new graphics and such. I’m not able to run games at max settings anymore on 1080p. I really don’t want to go away from an Nvidia graphics card because I love the hardware. But as I mentioned previously, the price point of these cards have gotten out of my price range to be able to have an actual substantial performance boost. Does anyone have the A770? That they upgraded from something similar. Or does anyone have suggestions for another upgrade option? Thank you everyone for anyone who replies I’ve been looking into this graphics card for a few days now and I’m kind of leaning towards switching to the Intel graphics card, but I’m still not 100% sold.
In most of the cases game does not use all of my GPU ans funny it is in some certain places like the little town near hogmade my GPU load is around 50 and CPU load is around 20- 30.
Well without rt it go better but it still happens
My GPU is 4080 and CPU 13600k with 32 GB of Ddr4 3600 mhz Rams.
So I’m having an issue with the easy anti cheat on any game that has it when I have RGB ram it. I had G skill trident Z, then I switched to Corsair vengeance pro rgb today to try and fix my issue, but it keeps crashing. I put in some old Corsair vengeance non rgb ram and I can fucking play any easy anti cheat game. I’m wondering if anyone else has this issue. I thought it was that my g skill was old, but now I’m thinking it’s an rgb issue. It gives me a blue screen and gives me the bad protocol error. Slightly drunk so sorry for spelling errors.
We just built this for a family member.
Should the bottom fans be my intake and the cpu cooler be an exhaust or should I have 6 intake and the one on upper left “single fan exhaust”?
They bought the parts we just put together
Thanks
Anyone know what this is? Can’t find any information

PC Issue] Hey guys, I need some help troubleshooting my PC.
Problem: When I boot my PC, I hear the usual startup sounds and the LEDs light up, so it’s definitely getting power. However, my monitors show no signal, and the PC doesn’t seem to fully boot. After this happens, the power button stops responding entirely—I can’t turn the PC off with it and have to use the power supply kill switch to shut it down.
Important Context: This issue isn’t new, but it’s gotten worse. Here’s the weird part: • This problem initially only happened on my sister’s Windows account months ago. If the PC went idle on her account, it would sometimes enter this unresponsive state. Back then, I could just use the kill switch and reboot, and everything would work fine. • It NEVER happened on my account—And now no matter what i do the pc instantly goes into that state, i cant access bios ect.
PC Specs: • CPU: Ryzen 5 3600X • GPU: RTX 3060 Ti • Motherboard: B550-something (I can check exact model if needed) • RAM: 16GB DDR4
Any ideas on what might be causing this? Could it be hardware-related, or is it something in the software causing a weird conflict between accounts? I’m stumped.
Thanks in advance!
So l use a koorui 240hz monitor with my 5950x and 7900xt build and for some reason it doesn't feel as smooth as I feel like it can idk if it's because it's a cheaper monitor or if I haven't tweaked my setting enough but even my consoles on my guest 160hz monitor and guest pc feel smoother than my main rig I run which is not slow by any means If anything miles faster then my old 3070 rig so I'm just wondering is it not feeling right bc it's a cheaper monitor or do lower refresh rates often feel smoother than
My monitor died completely without warning tonight on MSI's latest firmware. Apparently just a quick google search shows this is some-how a thing for this monitor? Playing Healldivers 2 on a 4070super if that matters. Originally I thought it was doing it's panel cleaning procedure but I received no warning it wanted to do this and, Power is completely dead to the monitor, LEDS and RBG lights will not turn on even if I hold down power. It's completely non-working after maybe 50hours of use. Purchased 12/22/24 In 20- years I've never had a monitor go out like this. Fortunately I'm within return period, definitely not picking another one of these up. Thought I'd share
