Just got a webcam for streaming and it is delayed to everything else in the stream its plugged into my xbox so is that the issue?
Ayuda comunicado latina!
I would much rather hear the reaction of my fav streamer instead of the commentators
So, I got a new laptop (I travel a lot so Its a better option for me than a PC) And I'm starting streaming soon, but I noticed there's excessive wifi usage whenever I connect it to my Data (I don't have wifi at home as it's too expensive where I live) and I'm not sure what it is. My old laptop, which still works but it's not good for streaming, doesn't take up nearly as much as the new one. The new one takes a 1GB in less than 20 minutes, while the old one would take 2-3 hours to take 1GB while doing the exact same thing.
I don't know if it's just because of the build if the laptops, or it's something internal, or the age of the laptops, but does anyone know what might be the cause? I don't know why it takes up so much data regardless of what I do compared to my old laptop, and I really want to fix that before I start streaming 🥲
I know that unlimited data or wifi is recommended, but for now I can't get that, so my main focus is to pin point what is using so much of my WiFi because I only have the game and OBS opened, and all of OBS settings have been adjusted to lower the usage, though I might have to recheck that
So ive been new to this for awhile. Like i consider myself new still, but have been streaming on and off for years xD. (Been streaming since july till now as of recently)
Ive popped on this subreddit afew times the past few months, and seen some good advice, but it confuses me how shorter streams are better, but how?
Is it based on an average between veiwers and time spent streaming?
It has always confused me alittle but today i seen someone say 2 hr streams are better then 12 hr streams, UNLESS you do the 12 hr streams daily.
Is it based on an average? Or are people assuming 12 hr streams are just hard for new streamers to maintain? Idk im just confused.
MAIN QUESTION: why are shorter streams better for veiwership, and raising numbers?
In my last two streams I've had six fake raids of 90-100 "viewers". Anyone else experiencing a similar trend? Or am I being targeted?
I’m sorry if this is a silly question I’m still learning. I’ve been using OBS for streaming. I use StreamLabs for Follow & Raid Alerts which works pretty well for me. I also used StreamLabs for my Chat Widget but I’ve noticed some Delay so I’ve changed my Chat Widget over to StreamElements. Although I’m using StreamElements for my chat, will I still get Follow & Raid Alerts with StreamLabs?? Again, I’m sorry if this is silly. I just don’t want to miss anything.
Hey all, I have been trying to stream from my phone but thestreams just aren't showing up online. How do I fix this?
Hi everyone, I’m streaming games from my iPad Pro M4 which just shows my screen.
Is there any way to include my video in a corner? I can use another device or the same device but don’t know how to enable it on mobile.
I'm looking for a standing desk that my wife and I can share. Since I'm 1.9m tall, it needs to be super adjustable to fit my height. I've got a lot of gear to fit on it when I stream - 2 monitors, a laptop, keyboard, and wacom tablet. my wife occasionally joins me with her laptop. I'm thinking of Autonomous or Flexispot. Any suggestions would be awesome, thanks in advance
Making a new account and attempt to use new phone number. Says it's already in use, I never made account with that number, does anyone know what could be the problem?
Why does it do this? I was trying to stream Madden earlier and my router said my internet connection was good, but I kept seeing a "broadcast stopped" message in the top right corner like every 8 minutes. What else could be the problem?
What is it called when you have a character that like fades in and out and some people sometimes have it bounce a little when they’re talking. I’m not sure what it is called.
So my chat keeps telling me that occassionally I will get some noise/static/crunchy audio for a little bit here and there during streams but I never hear it in the VODs and don't see any issues with my stream when they let me know. Anyone know what my issue is? Not sure if its my wifi, OBS, or computer just being weird. I stream from a PC that can definitely handle streaming, use OBS, and just have a not too crazy overlay set with my vtuber model. The issue is with the entire stream not just one audio source.
Hello everyone, I apologize if my formatting isn't great, please just send me a message and I'll fix it if need be.
I am in need of assistance. I am a fledgling streamer and I am wanting to implement a way for my viewers to interact with my stream by choosing what music is played via spending channel points. This can add incentive for viewers of my stream to have a direct interaction with me in somewhat real time. I love music and would love to reward my viewers with seeing my reaction in real time to music they have selected to play on stream.
I went down this dark rabbit hole all day long trying different bots and services, right now I currently am connected with moobot as well as streamer bot, and I use the paid subscription for streamlabs and I still cannot figure out where I need to go to get this process finished. Moobot is mostly for music and chat administration, while streamer bot is for automation and general background services.
Based on my experiments today, the way I would like to implement this is by grabbing the users chat message and repeating the same message under my chat bot account and setting moobot settings to moderator only for music controls.
I am currently stuck trying to figure out how to proceed.
Moobot seems to be the only one that will accept youtube content.
Am I missing something or making this too complicated? I have seen other streamers with this Implemented, but with Spotify, not youtube. The feature works fantastic as is, but i need to limit who has control
I am a mod who would like to hyperlink (with active link) fellow streamers channel pages in a chat. When I post the URLs in the chat on Twitch mobile app, hyperlink is shown (clickable) for everyone at the time I post in the chat.
However, if I go out of chat and go back in on the mobile app, the hyperlink in the chat post is no longer visible /unclickable (no underline).
Is there anyway to fix this?
I’ve searched the threads no one is having the same issue I am. I reached out to twitch support and they are about as helpful as a screen door on a submarine. I’m able to go live on streamlabs and it lets me “load” twitch but twitch shows I’m offline and I don’t get the usual mobile dashboard notification. I’ve logged out and logged in to both applications with no luck. I was hoping someone had some helpful advice on a fix. TIA
The messages that I send in a twitch chat only appear when I turn my phone wifi data and use my data does anybody know why it does thst and how to fix it soo that the they appear then the wifi is on
If you’re streaming a game on mobile and it’s displaying your screen, is there a way to also add video (of myself) to the stream? Like showing the game on the screen and my face in a corner.
At the moment it seems mobile only allows me to record my screen but not add a video of me.
Do you have tips on what mic to buy for singing and voiceover that is good at removing background noise like TV and neighbours stomping or yelling?
I heard good things about V7 and Sennheisers, do you have any experience with those or condensers? THe SM7B is out of my budget.
Thanks!
Looking at green screens to go behind my chair, and there’s some from £10 to £150, which ones do people use and recommend. I need one I can preferably move / fold up day to day
When I stream, I use 1 Monitor. Recently I've started using a Twitch Extension so I can see chat on screen when I have my Games pulled up. I also have a Chat Widget that I bought on Etsy setup with Streamlabs which seems to have a 20+ second delay. The Twitch Extension and Chat Widget are in sync but, not in sync with the actually Twitch Chat. I hope that makes sense? Just wondering what I could do to fix this. Thank you!
Hi, can someone explain to me how it works? I had 7 people writing in chat but in the goal I'm still stuck at 2/5.
Thanks!
I have a PlayStation 4 that I'm starting to stream from, But I can't figure out the audio settings. I don't want to stream my teammate's audio for their privacy... But I want my audio to go through. How do I do that please? Thank you!
I'm trying to integrate my Twitch subs into my Discord channel, but the prime subscribers don't appear to be showing up. Is this normal? If not, is there a work around to include prime subs with the Twitch role in Discord?
Has anyone made something like this yet?
edit: thank your for your help guys I will check it out :)
I've always wondered this. Anyone know? Or do they start out like any other channel?
