Can somebody please make a version of google maps that shouts directions at you like a WRC Navigator?
i am 14 and lookin to start rally school in australia, I dont have much money, I could coax my parents for some but I am looking to get into rally and I was wondering where I would get lessons and if i need my own car or if I will be provided one.
Hi! New here!
I'm 22 from spain, and I really want to get into motorsports as hobby, as I know I'll have no chance of professional racing without being very wealthy, especially given my age. Tbh, any motorsport works for me, as long as I get to drive aggressively, but rallying seems the most friendly option outside of Karting. For background, I'm from an upper middle class family, and my budget for getting a rally car together/buying pre-built is around 20-25k tops. Any advice on where I can start? And please don't say sim racing 😅
I just love the look i would love to know how it really handles..
●Support me on instagram- https://www.instagram.com/p/C_oB5IdsjnX/?igsh=MWcxdWJiemphamVmbA== . . . Peugeot 205, only its numeric title really remained the same after it was heavily modified to compete In the Group B rally and became the 205 T16.
The T16 represented the 16th iteration of the Peugeot 205, and the efforts to match the performance of its group B rivals at the time were fascinating from an engineering point of view.
The most obvious was moving the engine to the middle of the car and turbo charging it to 350bhp. This was a common theme that was already being explored by its other rivals, all pitting for the same title in question.
So if i'm not wrong back in the old days the mixture of the engine was richer, so the unburnt fuel would "bang" out of the exhaust pipe
I'm quite ignorant about turbochargers but from what i've read the effect is similar in how they reduce the lag of the turbocharger, only louder
...so it's the same thing? Or they're still two different things that have different purposes? Like, aside from the anti-lag system, is the mixture air-fuel still richer than normal? So that effect of backfire would happen anyway?
I'm not practical with engine terms, so if you can explain and if these things exist in road cars, like i know about turbodiesel but usually petrol cars don't have turbochargers (talking about my limited experience in my life) so i guess it's a motorsport thing, or specific in race vehicles?
thanks in advance, as i said keep in mind i'm ignorant in this stuff just know that the turbo should increase the pressure of the air in the combustion chamber
First loop where he was five seconds up in the leader and had an electrical issue and him then on the last loop pulling near 40 seconds on the last fastest time. That man is an animal😎
I’ve always loved rally, between dirt 3 as a teen and watching clips on YouTube, it’s always been my favorite Motorsport. Problem is I’ve never properly watched an event and I don’t know where to look or start. My girlfriend has shown some interest in it too I would like to start following it with her, any suggestions?
Hello rally people. When I was a kid I decided to take a perfectly good 5 speed Escort GT and turn it into a rally car.
Well that didn't happen and my dad has had this Escort roller shell in his barn for 20 years.
I am curious if anyone knows a reputable rally shop in Michigan that could take this on?
Or really option 2 if anyone is interested let me know. I don't have pics because well... its in a barn under a tarp. Its from North Carolina so its actually pretty dam rust free. Still... option one would be way cooler then option 2. anyways Thanks for reading
*edit
I ment to make short opt 1 and opt 2
opt1 Find a shop with the time to build a low spec rally car
opt2 Sell it and give my dad back the valuable barn space
What a machine
Hi, this has been driving me nuts for years, and I’ve only just thought to ask Reddit. When I was about six, I used to love watching ‘rally challenge’ in the UK. I loved the music too - I don’t suppose anyone knows what song was used in the title sequence? I’ve looked on YouTube, which has some Mobil1 rally challenge from the BBC on it, but none of them have the theme tune I remember. Can anyone help?
My dad grew up racing rally as a navigator in ex-Yugoslavia. Now lives in the Carolinas in the USA. Looking to take him to some good rally races next year. Are there any good races in the Carolinas or surrounding states? Thanks!
