I've got a 2020 base Impreza, had it about a year and a half now. I just passed 40k miles but I was broke for a while for some medical bills. Now I've got some money and have a budget of about $600 this month to spend on the car.
Last time I got an oil change, here is what I was told needed to be done; brake pads/rotors, brake fluid, CVT fluid change, and differential fluid changes.
Obviously I don't have enough to do all of that immediately, I do plan to do it all within the next few months. But for this month, which of those should I prioritize right now? I'm thinking brakes and brake fluid are top priority, then differentials and then CVT?
Just purchased last month. A week or so ago, it seems like I'm pulling to the left ever so slightly while driving? Could alignment be off?
I plan on visiting a junkyard to find interior parts for my ā11 Impreza, is there anything in particular that could make the car look better in the outside that would be easy to find there?
I have a 2013 Subaru Impreza sport premium 2.0l. The A/c and heater worked on level 1 and 2 and 3 but at 4 the fan stops. As of a few days ago nothing works now, even the a/c wonāt turn on or the light on the knob to indicate it was on. This is a manual control panel.
I have done! Checked coolant levels - right below the fill line Checked for leaks -nothing is Checked cabin filter - a bit dirty but cleaned up Changed blower motor resistor - was a a bit rusty so I replaced with a new one! Changed blower motor Switched out a/c compressor relay wasnāt bad but did it just in case Checked fuses under dash ( a/c IG 10a both blower 15a) and changed nothing was wrong with them either!
Not sure what else to do or where to look at but weather isnāt stopping for know one!
Does anyone have any experience installing a leather wrap on the steering wheel? Suggestions for decent quality?
Dear community, I bought a 2021 Subaru Impreza hatch about 3 months ago. My question is I got the car with 30mpg and right now Iām at 27.7mpg I donāt know if itās the weather affecting it or Iām just maybe driving not as conservativly as I should it goes down like 0.1 mpg a day. I live in northeastern PA so a lot of my driving is up and down hills but I am pretty conservative on how much Iām laying onto the gas. Any advice helps
Got new tires installed, asked them to fix the flashing TPMS, and they failed to fix them when the tires were put on..so I take the car back, and have new tires taken off, all 4 TPMS stems replaced and re-learned to the vehicleā¦everything seems fine until today, when the damn light starts flashing again. The light will flash for a while then come on and stay on, and will also randomly go away.
So now itās another trip back to the dealer to get it fixed, yet again.
Has anyone deal with TPMS issues after getting the sensors replaced?
You would think replacing and learning them to the vehicle would fix it, but it seems thereās a larger issue at play.
Replacing things with more performance oriented stuff on my 92x, and I'm in need of some new pads and rotors.
Any suggestions for stuff that's not track level but better then stock stopping power?
Hey all, just got a 2020 Impreza; and I love it so far. But I'd like to change the odometer lights to red. I did some looking around, and found some head/clusters with red colorization instead of the clear/white mine has; but they're from sport trim Imprezas.
Based on a video for installing custom WRX gauge faces, it looks like I should be able to swap the faces out rather than try and recode the cluster. So my first question is, will that work on a 2020 Impreza? And second, are the sport gauge faces compatible with the base Impreza?
Part numbers, for reference:
Sport instrument clusters I found:
85002FL11A
85012FL04B
Recommended base Impreza parts:
85012FL01B
85012FL03B

I did some looking around, and found a couple instrument clusters with red gauge faces instead of the white ones, but they're from Impreza sport models. Based off a video for custom WRX odometer faces, it looks like it should be possible to replace just the gauge faces (and save the trouble of reprogramming the cluster). With 9K miles on it, really looks like it was only driven to church on Sunday. Would you buy it at $18K?
Brought this beauty home yesterday, brand new 2024 Impreza RS in Crystal Black Silica with the power seats and Harmon Kardon package. They included all weather floor mats/cargo tray/seat backs, cargo net, clear rear bumper protector, LED dome lights, and they are shipping me mud flaps and window rain guards. It's my fourth Subaru, traded a 2017 WRX for it. Happy to finally be a member of the wagon club!
Taking my car to the dealership to get it checked out! Got this from another mechanic and he referred me to a Subaru dealership what does this even mean š Im scared š³ best case scenario and worst case scenarios pls
I've noticed a leak from the drivers side wheel arch on my 2014 impreza. The fluid has no smell or colour so very well could be water. I recently topped up my screen wash and had my coolant flushed so I'm really worried its developed a coolant leak! Any ideas what could be leaking from this location?
Iām wondering?? My headlights are super bright. But seem to die short making it hard to see distance without my high beams on. Anyone else have this issue? Thanks
I am installing a power cable to my Subies fusebox and am considering the options for a fuse that has a constant power supply. I'm pretty set on tapping the camera into the "Door Lock" fuse, but I was hoping to receive some clarification on why two other fuses are colored yellow. A little additional knowledge would be appreciated.
UK 2000 turbo for context:
Drove for the first time in a couple weeks, and had to force a stall in first to unfreeze the clutch plate and flywheel.
Didnāt sound like anything broke, took it for a 10 min slow drive and everything felt smooth, slightly stronger smell of exhaust fumes than normal (have had a long term small leak near the front thatās been repeatedly patched). Not sure if it fell off before leaving or on return, so could be either middle-to-read leftish or front right-ish (so helpful i know) or just flung out from anywhere lol.
Absolute Hail Mary cope idea is that itās just a random thing that got blown under during this recent storm (Gusts of 70+mph in my area).
Anyway if anyone has any clues or ideas let me know pls ty!!

So Iāve bought the BoostCharge USB-A to USB-C cable and Apple CarPlay still doesnāt work. Do you guys know how to fix this? Cheers
Probably one of the best thing Iāve done. Night time drives are just so different and chill. Love peopleās reaction when they ride in my car for the first time. šš¼
Recently installed some coilovers for my Impreza and I love how they make the car look, but I'm finding the rear camber to be rather excessive for my taste. The rear always had a bit of camber even on stock suspension, but now that it's lowered I'm a little offput by how it looks. I was wondering if there was any way to adjust that rear camber or if I have to make some changes to the car to get that camber adjustment that I want (I've been told that control arms would be the way to go but I wanted to get second opinions) I'll try to get an image up for the post as soon as I can.
