I finished late but here it is purring along at about 1000 RPMs. I can't adjust the idle lower on the carb, it physically won't go lower. I think the butterflies need to. e adjusted somehow, but I think kit runs great for what it is!

Does anyone have suggestions on where to start troubleshooting a random misfire? I've checked for vacuum leaks, the dash pots seem to be leaky so I blocked those off. I cleaned the contacts on the cap and rotor, made sure the plugs were connected up securely. I'm new to these cars

New to owning a Justy, carburetor help?

I just purchased an '88 Justy that is pretty rough around the edges. Recently had the timing belt replaced by the previous owner. They had the car off for some reason and couldn't get it to idle after putting it back on. It starts up pretty well, and idles above 2000 rpm ok but once you get much lower than 1500 it gets a rough idle and will die. I was able to locate the idle speed screw and have it high enough that it will idle without babysitting the throttle but that's around 1500 rpm.

Is there a mixture screw I can play with? Towards the base of the carb is a round hole plugged with brass, that wouldn't be it would it?

Also, are there decent repair manuals out there (Chilton, Haynes) that I should look for?

Lastly, parts. Is there a website people tend to go to for parts? Rockauto has some but I'm not sure what people "in the know" like to use.

Hey guys. I have got 1.3, 8v justy(2000) and that's my fuel use on 100km. Is this normal? I think it's too much.

Looking For 1988 Justy

Hello people of Reddit, I am on and endless pursuit to try and get my hands on a 1988 Justy. Would any of you know someone selling one. I have checked Facebook Marketplace any other ideas are welcome. I live in the US, I don't care where it's located as long as it is in the US as well.

Justy lost 5th gear 😔

91 justy gl 5 speed manual New to me hasn’t had 5th gear yet Then I replaced the shift link bushings and boom 5th gear again!! Drive 250miles with 5th gear and now I can’t shift it into 5th anymore 1-4+R work just fine but no 5th any thoughts? Fluid leaves good and checked my bushing work and they are all tight and look fine.

Edit: it’s back now feels like something floating in the trans some times moves infront of the gear.

Hey! I just recently bought a JDM 2003 Subaru Forester XT. I’m having a hard time finding brake pad and rotors for it. Does anyone know a good website I can go on?

Should probably start looking at everything she might need well in advance before winter, in hopes of some 4WD foolery 🤷

Seeking help

I have a 1988 subaru justy and I have had a lot of work on it done including a new carburetor. It starts for 30 seconds and then dies. Nothing I have tried has made it work, 3 mechanics have looked at it and couldn't help me. It is my favorite car and would really like to not sell it because I can't fix it.
