We moved to the south shore area and we we see a lot of food trucks but don’t know where they park. Are there food truck areas in the south shore!
Finishing up our second set of classes at the Braintree Petsmart and both the trainer we have (very good experience) and another trainer that was recommended by our dogs foster are leaving. The other trainers are recent trainees (they only do a two week training period at petsmart) or are unknowns to us and our current trainer.
Does anyone have good experiences with group dog trainers in the area? We have a 6mo puppy and are looking for groups, not one on ones, preferably somewhere between $100-200 for a six week cycle.
We’re in the Abington/rockland area, but can travel up to 30 minutes for weekends or nights after 5:30.
Edit: We can pay more, but around $200 was the range our trainer was offering but not in the area anymore. Still interested in suggestions if it is more. Thank you for the suggestions.
Does anyone know of a buying club for raw milk on the South Shore? I know there are no dairies close by but I figure someone is buying some. Thanks.
Hi there, current college student commuting from home in the south shore. Any suggestions on some study/working spots other than libraries? While I do spend a lot of time at my local ones some times I need a change of scenery and something a little less quiet if with a friend. TIA
Hey I’m wanting to a try a new place for Tuesday dinner and stay on a budget. Any recommendations on the south shore for a nice dinner (open to any cuisine)?
Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a local lawyer specializing in small business affairs?
This is for an antiques business, so bonus points for someone with experience in that field or with consignment-based businesses.

Trying to understand if there's a market for it. There don't seem to be any shows on the south shore and I'm not sure why that is.
Anyone have recommendations for a company on the South Shore with fair prices for yearly maintenance of an oil furnace? I paid around $300 last year and the guy was there for 20 minutes...
Hi everyone! Just wanted to hop on here and get some insight from young families living on south shore/cape cod.
My husband and I (currently no kids- hoping to conceive soon) are considering moving to south shore more so towns like Plymouth, Kingston, etc as opposed to weymouth, quincy as those are further from cape. My parents live in Sandwich (Cape Cod) so we want to be closer to them for our own enjoyment and have our kids grow up near them.
Which town(s) do you recommend? How should we go about this? Currently renting apartment and working in middlesex county ma. Which town is easy to get jobs in admin, bsuiness, town jobs, etc? (Husbands career) and i am a nurse so thinking plymouth would be good because hospital is there and seems to be full of other businesses. Thank you so much!!!
I'm new to the Plymouth area & looking to meet more people around my age (20s-30s).
I know there are several shops that host game nights, but I'm hoping to start a semi-regular group. We could take turns hosting, preferably kicking it with drinks & pizza.
I have a collection of games that range from party to more intense, and others would be encouraged to bring their own collection!
Ideally looking for like 4-10 people. Leave a comment or shoot me a DM if interested. If enough people are keen, I'll make a separate Discord/FB group for it. :)
Hi, I’m curious if anyone has a recommendation for an area with a good hill to walk up? In Waltham, prospect hill park was great for this. Or perhaps a good sledding hill in the winter? Thanks in advance!
Hi, all. Carmela’s in Kingston used to have a solid trivia night. But it went away around Covid and never came back. Any recommendations/suggestions? Thanks!
My elderly mother needs some mental health support. Can anyone recommend a good therapist that specializes in elder care in the area around Braintree, Randolph, Stoughton, Canton, Weymouth. Thanks!
Is there anyone who currently lives in or grew up in Norwell who can tell me more about what it’s like to live there?
Hiiii all! I’m 21 and I think I’m trans but I just wanna somehow meet and go out somewhere that’s lgbtq+! I’m aware of Ptown but it’s kinda out of season I feel 😂 I do love it down there though but I’ve never been in girl mode lol. So if anyone knows of anywhere I’d love to hear it! Thank you and I hope you have an amazing night! :))
Looking for ideas for an experience type of gift that I can use for either a group of 4 or a group of 9-10. Preferably activities that can be done in the winter.
Examples: glass blowing, cooking class, axe throwing.. etc.
Moved to Hanover recently and haven't had much luck finding a club on Strava or a group run I can make (I am aware of the Tuesday 6pm from Marathon Sports in Norwell) Any leads are appreciated!
There's a fantastic one in Baltimore where you literally just go in and use their space for whatever you want. They have tons of supplies, and some structured/organized classes and workshops. You have to reserve space, but you can literally walk in and use a sewing machine, make a collage, or even a friendship bracelet.
Does this even exist here?
For context, the place I'm referring to: https://www.baltimoremagazine.com/section/artsentertainment/the-craft-castle-hampden-adult-arts-and-crafts-studio/
Why is this so hard?
I'm trying to find a fresh raw turkey for Thanksgiving. I pre-ordered one from Gerard's turkey farm last year. It was like 11 lbs, clearly still frozen in the middle??? And $65!! I pre-ordered from a turkey farm to get a fresh turkey since all of the turkeys in the grocery stores have been frozen solid and not great the past few years. I don't get this. Why would I pay all that money and stand in line for an hour for yet another frozen turkey I could've picked up at the grocery store? Looking online now, I don't see any way to pre-order a guaranteed fresh turkey from anywhere. Am I missing something? Where do ppl get their turkeys from if they don't want frozen crap?
Just moved to the area - is the price worth it? Thanks!
I drove by them the other day and now they’re Cadence Academy. I worked there years ago for bit while I was in college. I’m so shocked they’re no longer Busy Bee!
I've been trying to keep up with a news story about my childrens' former pediatrician who is accused of abusing his patients. I've set up a Google Alert for him. Most of the previous articles have been across multiple news platforms and easy to get. The latest update seems to only be on the Patriot Ledger.
Anyone out there have a digital subscription? Anyone willing to share the text of the article below? Thanks in advance.
