Any pubs have the matches?
We have an event going on Friday and the food truck that we had scheduled dropped out this morning. We are looking for a food truck to be serving in South Dartmouth from 4:30pm - 8pm. Any ideas are greatly appreciated!
Hey folks. So I’m 34 and moved not super recently from the North Shore to the south shore in the past 4-5 years. I just can’t put my finger on it. But…. What’s up with you people?
I have failed at every attempt to make friends down here despite my best efforts.
There are nuances in the way ppl interact. I can’t put my finger on it, but it’s been bugging the crap out of me.
Also, i don’t think I’m imagining it- there’s an extra lot of undereducated white men that “don’t like being called a racist” even though nobody has called them a racist… and then Making a snarky comment about BLM. I’m undereducated and white too- but I just have been fortunate enough to not be a fucktard and know how to engage in critical thinking skills. So I’m white woman who plays my cards close to my chest when I know someone is gonna go off on their confederate soapbox. - then watch them let down their guard and spill what their ignorant heads are really filled up with. Why? Because I can’t actually understand how in the fuck… you can even… and I want to learn what’s behind this dumbfuckery. I don’t go seek out the conspiracy garbage media… why should I? But I’m curious to know how did we get from point A to Lizard people? I thought that was just reserved for being a Phish lyrics thing.
Not to mention deseminating someone’s broken belief system with them, and pointing out the inconsistencies all under the pretense of -“i just don’t understand- don’t know what that snake symbol means… what does it mean to you?” - has its moments of satisfaction.
I know I’m rambling.
Haters?
Looking for somewhere to rent a stage for an event in South Dartmouth. We are looking for 12x18 or 12x24. The event is July 30th. If you know of anyone please let me know!
I was wondering if there’s any Pokémon go groups in the Mattapoisett area especially for go fest this weekend.
For those who want to avoid Horseneck and Whitehorse
My family just moved to mattapoisett, and I am wondering if there is any kind of nightlife/activities/groups where I can meet people on their 20’s?
Hello! I will be coming from out of state to a wedding next week in south dartmouth.
I'm not sure what covid is like, but I see it's been impossible to get in touch with any salons to get a blowout the day of the wedding.
Does anyone know of any open salons, an hair stylists that are making appointments, or someone that does house calls for maybe for than one client?
Thanks for any help!
Hi all, I am moving to mattapoisett in the next few months and am wondering if there are any good Facebook g round to join.
Also I’m wondering if there are any discords or groups for mattapoisett or south coast Pokémon Go players
I'm looking to find all of the weekday/weekend deals on some of the restaurants in the Dartmouth/New Bedford area. Anything like "Taco Tuesday" or "Wing Wednesday". Here are the ones I know off the top of my head. I'd love to know what your favorites are!
That's everything I know of! What am I missing? I'm always excited to try new places and deals.
Hi all, so I have an Etsy shop where I sell herbal products that I make that include lactation herbal tea and I make lactation cookies. I like being on Etsy, but the shipping part is a little difficult for me where I have twin babies that I stay home with so just a little inconvenient to mail things sometimes. I was contemplating getting a commercial kitchen or residential kitchen license and selling the lactation cookies. Do you think it would be of interest to people around here?
Thanks!
Folks:
I know that there is no Reddit group for Marion. Do any of you know if there is a facebook group for Marion residents and former residents?
Marion was my childhood home from 1969 till college graduation in 1976.
Thanks

I'm looking for the best pizza in the Dartmouth/New Bedford area. So far I have had (in no particular order):
Jimmy's Pizza (North Dartmouth)
PieZoni's (South Dartmouth)
Brick (North Dartmouth/New Bedford)
Ma Raffa's (New Bedford)
Prestige Pizza (South Dartmouth)
Friendly Pizza (Dartmouth)
Any suggestions on where to try next? I just saw that Carmine's at Candleworks offers cheap 16" pizzas on Monday's only but I have yet to try that. Maybe next week. Let me know what your favorite is or if you have any opinions on the places I have listed above!
I wish we had someone that would run for sheriff and try to help change policing and the justice system where they can. Sheriff Hosgson is only interested in maintaining status quo and being "tough on crime" I personally am sick of it and I would run myself if I had the law enforcement experience.
I’m driving my Mom & Aunt to Marion MA (all the way from NC , halp) to see my Uncle who just went into hospice care. Any ideas for some covid friendly activities in the area that might help lift the spirits? Are things open? I don’t mind driving a bit for something spectacular :) (wineries/breweries/nature trails/history/literally anything :)
PS - I’m also bringing my road bike so any good routes in the area would be greatly appreciated!

I know that Drizly and Instacart will both deliver alcohol but I was wondering if there was a local retailer doing their own delivery. I prefer to keep the money in the community as much as possible instead of a fee going to a big, corporate website.
Does anyone know of any affordable apartments for rent for a single and quiet young professional journalist? Or of anyone who might know someone who is renting?
