Hi guys,
I hope everyone is well.
I am a casual sim racer, still have cockpit, a Fanatec CSW 2.5, Pedals V3, Shifter and Handbrake from Fanatec.
I'm using a 32" 4k 240 hz monitor and it is as close as it can be to my wheelbase.
I everything is perfectly adjusted, my position is comfortable, the seat allows me to see the middle of my screen, I can bend my wrist right over the wheels while stretching my arms, etc.
That said, in-game, even if it's not really an issue, I just can't manage to have a great view on the virtual dashboard using the dashboard cam. No matter what I do, adjusting height etc, it's never convenient for that purpose.
I calculated the perfect FOV back then and in AC Evo for example, it is 35, considering I'm 70 cm away from the monitor,l that has a 1700r curve.
I don't want to use the cockpit view since it feels weird seeing the wheel in-game, or at least not that realistic so I'm sticking to the Dashboard cam. I know I can remove arms and wheel visibility but hey in replays you get a ghost driver!
Long story short, if you don't have a physical dashboard nor do you have VR, how do you achieve a perfect view?
Thanks in advance for your feedback and suggestions.
Hello Everyone,
So I recently bought the NLR Victory rig as I thought it was great bang for the buck.
The only thing I dislike about the rig is the seat, as it lacks back recline adjustments.
Otherwise the seat is fine, but it kinda force me to a bit of an awkward angle with my back.
So I asked NLR if it would be possible to swap the seat with their ERS3 or any ERS seat for that matter.
Their official respone was "While the Universal Seat Bracket can connect to the cockpit frame. We do not recommend bolting the Universal Seat Brackets to the Seat Sliders on the cockpit as side mount seat may stress the seat sliders.".
So I wanted to hear has anyone tried this and how did it work out?
I'm trying to figure out if this (https://www.simxpro.shop/de/SimXPro®-Universal-shifter-button-box-handbrake-bracket-p212825376) will work with my Moza H-Shifter / Sequential Shifter.
Does anyone know, if they fit onto that?
If no, what product could I buy instead? (european shops preferred)
Thanks in advance
Hallo zusammen.
Hello everyone. I would like to found a Swiss simracing team with a few interested people.
I would like to take part in a few final races in iRacing but unfortunately I am currently driving alone. So if you want to drive actively with me, please contact me via DM.
Can someone please tell me how to fix this? The first clip the steering is smooth, but it get erratic in the second clip and Im barely moving the analog stick that much
If you have a wheelstand with any kind of gearshift mounting plate, or a similar attachment, and you're trying to figure out how to mount multiple accesories, you can take a page out of our full rig compatriots and work in some aluminium extrusion. Attach it to the mounting point of the gearshift plate and then you have something that offers far more adjustability than the stock setup for both length and height.
I'm looking to buy a aluminium 8020 profile rig.
My top choice is the Treq Ace (Front Wheel Mount). https://www.treq-sim.com/shop/treq-ace-331?category=1#attr=265
My other choices would be the GT Omega Prime, and the SimLab PX1-Pro, in that order.
My main reason for the Treq is that it is relatively shorter than the other two length-wise (~20 cm shorter; my legs are not long and space is an issue where I'd be placing the rig). I don't need a shifter arm and I don't anticipate using one for the foreseeable future.
Could I check that the Treq Ace is a solid choice, or if I should go for something else? Is there anyone with experience of this rig?
For what it's worth, I have a Simagic Alpha Mini and P1000. I'm based in the UK so would prefer a UK or Europe-based seller. My budget for the profile rig alone is £750 (I have a separate budget for the seat). The Treq works out to being the cheapest of the three options mentioned, but I don't mind spending more for a more reliable / solid option.
Iv been looking at getting a racing rig for a while now and I'm struggling to decide between the T300 and the Moza R3. I know the R5 and fanatec ready to race are better but they're abit out of my price range. Is it worth paying abit extra to get the R3 over the T300?
Hi, I'm thinking about buying my first steering wheel, I have limited funds, so I'm hesitating between the T300 RS GT and buying a TLCM pedal, or buying the T598 and sticking with the basic ones? I only play on PS5 and only WRC games.
I want the steering wheel to be quiet so I can play while my child is sleeping in the next room.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
I'm not looking forward to an ultra-sophisticated one, just one that I could plug in my PC and play Need for Speed Most Wanted with. My current steering wheel is fine, I've beaten the game twice with it, but I do want something better. Making small adjustments with this thing is extremely difficult. Idk how to describe it, but if you make gentle turns you can feel the steering wheel locking into place when you near the standard position. 180 turning radius or 360 turning radius doesn't really matter that much to me. And there probably is input latency too just that I'm not aware of it yet. Currently this is what I have.
Hi, I'm trying to find replacement potentiometers for my g29 pedals and in my country, I found a 10K 16mm single turn potentiometer. However, before I buy them, I would like to know if the size is right.
Hi all,
Time to get into the money pit again and switch base brands. Looking for a base somewhere around 15nm. With my current base (Moza R9), I miss detail in understeer situations. The base feels or filtered (just a heavy wheel) or robotic. The oversteer feels okay. I only race iRacing.
Please share your experiences, I will now write my considerations, hopefully you can follow along and help me decide based on your experiences. The reviews on YouTube don't bring me any further, summarized they all say, this is so good, so detailed. Better than, bla bla. Sometimes the reviews are from years ago and not relevant...
VRS: good established brand, familiar in esports. DFP15 looks decent and the quick release is good! Decently priced.
Asetek: Think the quick release is less durable compared to the NRG style, from what I have seen. More pricey, I don't like the wheels that much also. Specs looks decent, less familiar in the eSports compared to VRS I think?
VNM: least familiar in esports, but from what I read they do different things to get the FFB output (telemetry based) that got my attention.
Why no simucube you might ask by now. I think they are maybe a little overpriced for what you are getting. And from all the reviews, above mentioned bases seem to output the FFB on the same level of detail. I also don't like the quick release, It's just not what I would expect maybe on that price level. I might be wrong but my honest opinion. The only good thing is their close relation with iRacing for what it seems, because they have new features before any other brand.
Please help me out.
Thanks in advance
A couple of years ago my wife was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Now I really understand what it means to have a cronical illness and how it may impact the daily life.
During covid I created a discord. Initially the idea were to have a place for me and my simracing friends to hangout, have fun and talk smack about each other. As time passed we were all of a sudden we were a big host over on the SimGrid. I had never imagined that we would have that much success and become a "household name". Mean while growing the simracing community, our discord and having fun with my "imaginary friends", my wife was diagnosed with having multiple sclerosis. I will never forget that day when we visited the doctors office and was told the devastating message. "You got MS and there is no cure for it". We both shed a tear and look at each other not knowing what to do or even say. I am not a person who is left speechless - I was this time.
A couple of years have now passed, and we have found a way to live with the disease and how we can take care of her. Luckily wifey is still full vigorous and doesn't have the major physical symptoms. Seeing how MS has impacted our day to day life have made me wanna use my powers and my name in the simracing community to see what I can do to help others in the same situation as us - or those who's in a worse place than we are.
That was a bit of an intro... It were not suppose to be this long.. Hope you're still here!!
I am happy to announce that on APRIL 5th 2025 we will be hosting a MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS charity race.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disease resulting in damage to the insulating covers of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. As a demyelinating disease, MS disrupts the nervous system's ability to transmit signals, resulting in a range of signs and symptoms, including physical, mental, and sometimes psychiatric problems. Symptoms include double vision, vision loss, eye pain, muscle weakness, and loss of sensation or coordination. MS takes several forms, with new symptoms either occurring in isolated attacks or building up over time. Wikipedia
MS affects the daily life of all patients. The impact can be anything from physical symptoms such as fatigue and pain. Sensory symptoms such as cognitive decline and mood disorders. Sensory changes such as numbness and a tingling sensation.
Fatigue: Chronic tiredness is one of the most common and debilitating symptoms, making it difficult to complete everyday tasks.
Mobility Issues: Muscle weakness, spasticity, and balance problems can affect walking and coordination. Assistive devices like canes or wheelchairs may be required.
Pain: Neuropathic pain, muscle spasms, or stiffness can disrupt daily activities.
Vision Problems: Blurred or double vision, or even temporary vision loss, can impact reading, driving, or screen use.
Cognitive Decline: Issues with memory, focus, and problem-solving can make work and home responsibilities harder to manage.
Mood Disorders: Depression, anxiety, or mood swings are common, partly due to the disease's impact on the brain and the emotional toll of living with a chronic illness.
Numbness and Tingling: These sensations in the limbs or face can interfere with fine motor skills, like buttoning clothes or typing.
Temperature Sensitivity: Heat can exacerbate symptoms, making it challenging to perform activities in warm conditions.
Unpredictability: The relapsing-remitting nature of MS means symptoms can flare up unexpectedly, disrupting plans.
Care Needs: Severe cases may require assistance with basic tasks like dressing, cooking, or bathing.
Im working on my first SIM rig, and was wondering about audio. I have a set of Klipsch surround sound speaker that I never got rid of after I upgraded, nothing special, but I would imagine better quality than PC speakers? My question is, what would be better? I can get a low wattage used 5.1 receiver for $140-$200 and run a optical out from my PC motherboard to the AVR. Or, is there a better PC specific option??
What are you all doing for Audio?
Hello everyone, got a question. Dont know how but somehow resolution changed in game and look bit different now. Car mirros dont fit in screen anymore. I Think it happened when i minimalized game to check something on laptop which is Connected by hdmi to blogger screen. Can anyone help fixing it?
Been away for a while... but kept following and trying to help those who'd fallen in to the trap of Motorsport Games and the abandoned KartKraft project which is still available to buy on Steam. But as of 6 days ago the game has become 100% unplayable for all players. So it was time to re-write an article I did 2 years ago on it's 15th Anniversary (from when it was first announced on Facebook).
Broken in to 2 parts due to image restrictions on Reddit... But here's Part 1 (which then links to Part 2)... https://www.reddit.com/r/KartKraftGame/comments/1igvixp/kartkraft_in_memoriam_20082025_part_1/
If anyone out there owns a copy of KartKraft... please use the "report game" flag on Steam store page so that it may eventually have it's sales paused/halted. Thanks.
I'm looking for a round 320mm flat wheel to put on my Simagic Neo X hub. I don't want to spend Momo prices, I'm looking for a good budget option.
I've heard good things about Motamec but I live in the US and haven't been able to find distribution here. Turn racing seem to have a great rep for budget wheels but they don't make a round wheel. There are (I assume knock off) Momo wheels on Ali Express, but I have no idea if they are any good.
Anybody have any recommendations for leather or suede wheels that are reasonably light, nice, priced?
Thanks for any help,
Would love to see a real
I currently have a Logitech G920 connected to my XBox series S. As far as I know, Xbox does not support VR games.
I have a Mac so I need to buy a PC but I’m on a budget.
My plan of action is to buy a Meta Quest 3(128gb) + PC
But, which PC is the question!
I play F1 2024, and intently to play future versions of F1 on it.
All recommendations are appreciated! Thank you!

I am planning to build a sim rig out of aluminium profile and im wondering if 30x60 would be enough for a MOZA R5? I have been looking to buy 40x80 but its out of sale almost everywhere where i live and buying it outside the country would bring me insanely high shipping costs.

I had this idea when I started sim racing about a year ago and built my first DIY rig in my basement. I pretty quickly switched from monitors to a VR setup, and I thought it was so awesome that every car enthusiast needs to try this.
In designing my rig in my basement, I ended up pulling one of the seats from an old two-seater go-kart to use for my sim. That didn't work out as well as I had wanted, and I found my old gaming chair fit the bill much better. But as I was reinstalling the go-kart seat into the kart, it hit me that I could easily move the steering wheel to the passenger side and bolt a gaming wheel and pedals on the driver side, then I could load it up in my trailer and take it to car meetups and shows and let people try sim racing.
It was pretty awesome, but I also wanted to be able to bring my Civic Type R to the shows as well, but I don't have another driver.
So I figured if I could build a sim in a go-kart, maybe I could do it in my daily driver as well. The biggest obstacle was going to be the steering wheel, because I found that the Logitech gaming pedals will slide up just perfectly right in front of the car's actual pedals with enough room for most people to operate them (I'm 6'4").
It all came together when I bought a quick release and new racing wheel for the car, then ordered a second quick release for the gaming wheel. I built a small frame for the gaming wheel out of unistrut from Lowe's that I just cut and tack welded together, and then mounted the second quick release on the back of it.
Right now it is only usable with VR, but I have ideas to be able to put a small curved monitor mount on top of the gaming wheel mount for those who can't use VR and prefer a traditional monitor. Certainly not going to be a good 3-monitor setup, but should be usable for those few folks who don't like or can't use VR for whatever reason. There's a small monitor I have hooked up in the car just to be able to use the computer without the headset on if someone else is wearing it and I'm setting it up for them.
Takes me about 10-15 minutes from the time I park the car until I can have the sim up and running, and then in less than 5 minutes I can switch it back and be driving away again.
PC: Pre-built mid level gaming PC from Best Buy with i7 processor, 32mb RAM, Nvidia 4060 GPU (8mb VRAM)... Nothing super special.
Gaming wheel/pedals: Logitech G920 with pedals and H-pattern shifter
VR: Meta Quest 3s
Car: 2017 Honda Civic Type R (FK8), Sith Edition
Quick release: NRG quick release Gen 4.0
