I just got iRacing and it won't let me load into racing sim at all. It just keeps going to unresponsive page I have deleted all third-party apps that could interfere with it, unplugged all of my devices still nothing turned off all of my anti virus to see if that would work still nothing even added it to my firewall and allowed it through I don't know what to do.
So I was messing around with some resolution settings. Then when I loaded into a test drive the brightness of everything was way extremely high and unplayable. Everything is just blinding and I put my setting back how they were and I have been sitting here for the past hour trying to figure out a solution. Can anybody help?

My friend & I are planning to do the PCC event at VIR at the end of the month. Neither of us have any iRacing specific experience in endurance events & was wondering if there was some minuscule things we should be practicing in preparation for the event. We are mainly doing it for fun but also want to feel prepared.
Any & all advice is appreciated!
When I load into a session, whether it's a test drive or an official session, the loading reaches about 5%, and then all the audio on my PC cuts out. The audio doesn't return until I close the session. I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but that didn't help. I don't know what else to do about this.
Self explanatory really. I predominantly run in GTP, which I’ve got a pretty strong grasp of over the past year. I’ve also dabbled in the GT3s. But I really struggle with them; they feel so numbed, and getting detail from the brakes is so difficult, that’s where my main struggle is, it makes it harder to brake consistently. How can I best utilise the Bias and ABS to get a better feeling?
This series will start January 4th 2025
We are moving our 6 round championship from Europe, and bringing it to the United States. This time we are running multiple Divisions (splits). We are also adding a mandatory pit stop to our Feature Race, extending it to 35 minutes, but the heat is still the same. We currently run this series on weekends only. Been in C class for a while but decided to finish the season doing mostly gr86. I had a look at C class series and the most appealing looking series was the Lmp3, however I’m not sure that I feel the need to go to a C class series when I could just move to the Ferrari fixed GT3 or do gt4. My main question really is what series would you recommend from C class or whether you think the D class series are better?
I'm so tired of the nurburgring right now.
I understand that there’s already a lot of competition for time slots involving all of the classes in the European LeMan Series(LMP2, LMP3, GT3), but would there be any demand for such a series?
I’m currently a B class road license and really enjoy watching the ELMS, WEC and IMSA, but I really love the LMP3 and GT3. There are no series that run them concurrently and I think if there was an ELMS series that ran in B class, though possibly a shit show, it would allow somebody like myself to run multiclass races before reaching IMSA(besides Falken Tyre & PRC).
Opinions?
Cross the finish in 3rd with spotter saying race is over, checkered flag checkered flag. I get out of the car and find out I'm in 10th, a lap down. WTF happened???
I don't get much time as a parent of 2 young kids, so I have to prioritise how I 'play' to get the most out of it, I stick to one car and race the 2 GT3 series as they always use the same track each week. At the start of a season I choose my 8 'main' weeks, buying any tracks that I need to make the 8 up and then use the off weeks to catch up on life.
Thing is if I had all the time in the world I still think I would play this way, maybe run more weeks and just get more of the same races in to hopefully keep improving, and always keeping an eye on my position in the championship/division.
Was scouring Div 1 out of interest tonight and noticed a load of 1 or 2 week drivers who won or placed really well in the races they did complete, looking on their profiles found they only seem to race 1 or 2 tracks (I assume ones they've 'mastered') and it got me thinking about a few things.
1 - How do most people actually 'play' what are you trying to achieve? I find it too deep to just play 'for fun', not that I'm ultra competitive or anything, I'm 2k iR and float around Div 3, but I need to have something to measure progress against.
2 - I wonder how skewed both iRatings and (more importantly to me) Division splits are. It seems that Divisions use a similar method to the race splits and just group everyone up by iRating at the start of a season. So the 4K guys who only run their best track over and over might not have a chance against the 2k guys across multiple weeks.
3 - I think it would be cool if Divisions were based more on participation and split 'per series' (I'm assuming your division is constant across series - I only race the GT3's so I can't actually confirm) I'm about 600th in the overall championship and Div 1 has ~1700 participants, yet I couldn't dream of being in Div 1.. Doesn't seem to make sense.
4 - Maybe only appear in the standings if you have a minimum participation, up to week 5 say a minimum of 1 entry required, then +1 every week until the end of the season (so anyone who in theory wanted to race the 'last' 8 weeks of the season would always show if they started on week 5) The only people who this would 'impact' are the ones who clearly aren't taking part for the standings anyway!
Question to anyone who only races a couple of tracks - What is your 'goal'? Is it just to maximise iRating or something else?
Hello! I really want a new racing game and iracing looks like the most serious in terms of online racing which is the part I want.
Now the problem is that I have heard that it is really expensive with a monthly cost and every car and track costs money. Is this true? How expensive is it? Do I need to buy anything or does some cars come standard? Is there a way to get some sort of free trail for the monthly subscription?
And the most important question is, is it worth it?
Hi is there any way how to Decrease my Virtual Rear Mirror distance I feel like it's rendering almost too far I don't really have problems with my PC but I don't care about low graphics so I just want to maximize my Performance thanks in advance :)
Has anyone had luck using a laptop and vr? My mother in law is buying me a amazing laptop. And I was hoping to use it and vr instead of also buying a desktop. Thanks.
But here is the update if anyone cares, I filed the protest and after reviewing the incident iracing did find my protest valid. Here the link to the other post: https://www.reddit.com/r/iRacing/s/ fCbyibmExR
I‘ve noticed that in this weeks Ringmeister series it says that the race also effects your formula licence, despite being a sports car race.
Last week that was the case with the Indycar series and oval being effected.
How does that work? Is it only for participation across multiple series (D licence oval drivers being able to join the Indycar series which is B licence formula)? Or can you improve (or mess up) SR and iR for two licences in one race?
