I was wondering if the following effect is simulated in iracing:
As title: Is this a tease at a Darkhorse R to replace the old FR500S, or is it the new Generation Supercar? Bonus point if you know what the track is lol
Im new to iracing and i always wanted to be a racing driver, but i cant drive irl due to earing issues, basically i hear high enough for loud sound be obstructive to my driving, but when i found sim racing and driving sims i found a new way to be what i always wanted to be.
Im posting this to introduce myself and also, feel free to say what i need to improve and most importantly, what im doing wrong.
What should I buy next? Light formulas are a good option? I tried F4 and didn’t like it much
I’m at C license and enjoying racing in F3, but there is only one race so I don’t catch it that often. Are there more F3 races in B license so I know if it’s worth it to grind to reach that?
Thanks
What are some good things to do during starts and restart during an oval (NASCAR) race? I often lose a few positions and can't quite figure out what i am doing wrong. I looked for some YouTube videos and there is some good content but deals mostly with road. They have some good tips but teally looking for something focused on ovals.
:)
Background: Only been a member for a week. Played for a few days on controller, decided I liked it enough to buy a G29 set but nothing more because we might be moving in the next few months/year and I don't know if I will be able to keep playing at that point. I got tired of how close the walls were on Tsukuba this week so I have moved on to practicing the FF1600 at Lime Rock Park - Grand Prix for next week.
Questions:
I will be scrolling the sub/YouTube looking for practice tips, but if you any let me know :D
I’m racing on a dated pc and my quest 2 connection is finally consistently dying in the arse. Dropping out like Timothy Leary in 1966. I just need to tune in, turn on and race. I have LOVED and LIVED my VR experience. It’s now disconnecting mid race. Also, you all look like potatoes to me in vr anyway. I tested the single screen instead of vr, everything is so pretty, almost as pretty as Matt Malone or Jimmer B who I watch on YouTube.
So. Those who race in 2D single screen, are you fully IN the sim?? Will I eventually get the same buzz I do from VR if I switch to flat racing life, after acclimating from intimate VR? Because to be honest, my 15 minutes in single screen felt like playing guitar with gloves on or making love with a guitar with gloves on…. You know what I mean.
Those who have raced both VR and single screen, I’d love your opinion or thoughts.
Hi everyone just need some advice for the Iracing hivemine. I’ve been away from Iracing for a while (suffered from a major ankle and back issues) and I normally use a service like coach Dave for my setups. However recently I have been watching Basic Ollie’s streams and I was wondering if those set ups are as good/better than coach Dave.
Also I used CDA in the past for ACC and LMU as well. If anyone can suggest other set ups for all three sims that would be welcomed as well.
Hello Guys,
i'm now in B. its time for GT3.
Should i wait for the new NSX? Could it be a good Car? i know its no comparison, but i liked the NSX in Forza very well.
i'm coming from ACC. There are New Cars every time the Meta for the first Days/Months
How does it work in Iracing
Otherwise i would go with Audi or BMW. (Audi for Sound BMW because i drive a M3)
If its better to wait i would still drive GT4 till Update
Hi all,
I'm new to iRacing and trying to understand the MPR. I read the Sporting Code but the explanation is not that clear and any help is appreciated.
Right now I'm class D competiting in the rookie division of the Mazda Cup. In the Series List table, the Mazda Cup under the MPR column has an "=" sign, meaning "Driving in this series does not count towards a license promotjon". Does this mean that the races here do not count to move to class C?
The Legend Road Cup with the Ford 34 has an arrow pointing up, meaning "Driving in this series will count towards a license promotion". Does it mean I need to run this series to move to C?
Under my licenses, I see my current MPR and it says 2/4 races. I've beed competiting in the Mazda Cup since day 1, had 30 races in three tracka. How come it says 2/4?
Thanks for your help.
Can’t launch a race or anything from anti easy cheat error. Someone please help.
I am curious on everyones opinion on the new McLaren now that is has been some time since it's release.
More specifically, why the hell does everyone and their family drive this car and can get good lap times? Personally I can not get even close to my times i do in other GT3s (as my flair indicates specifically the Porsche).
Take IMSA fixed this week for example, in the Porsche my optimal lap is down to a 2.00.1 and my PB is a 2.00.9, in the Macca i can only get the optimal down to a 2.00.1 and my PB to a mid 2.01.
Or Fuji in regards to the upcoming Fuji 8hrs, doing some practice still learning the track the best i can manage in the Macca is somewhere in the high 41, meanwhile in the Porsche i am in the low 41s almost getting 40s within 3 laps.
I want to drive this car so bad as i love the McLaren visually and audible, but the driving is horrible for me.
Just curious to know how much time you guys spend practicing vs racing?
This week I got into Brands Hatch in porsche cup, and for the first time I really think I should be practicing more than racing.
First time that I got 2k and now Im just off 1-2 (from aliens) seconds pace, even racing more than 15x races this week the track just cant work for me.
After joining iRacing back in April, my goal was to hit 3k in a year, but thanks to my favorite track, Watkins Glen, it got here early.
