Sim Rig Positioning

https://preview.redd.it/qpvzjlcw4nae1.jpg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=afe30de0ece7eb87965fb6f1075791e5beb7866d

Hello,

I got my first Aluminium Rig after getting hooked with Sim Racing for a few months now. I tried researching, watched YouTube Videos, and even looked up a few guides that got posted here on Reddit. Problem is: My knees and elbows, especially the outer left side of my knee, started hurting after pressing the loadcell just a bit or even just using the spring. So i tried adjusting it in every possible way ( Pedal plate up to seat position, different angles, etc. etc.) I noticed that it might just be an unusual way to use my muscles and started stretching and working out like 1 Week ago aswell. My knees still hurt, but i am only using the spring right now on my Moza SRP Pedals and it kinda works for now but still kinda hurts. I also adjusted Force Feedback (Using R9 Moza Wheelbase) but elbows and forearms still kinda hurt. I also have x legs and maybe someone with x legs has a tip how he set up his rig.

I just wanted to get some feedback if anyone of you notices something very off or something i could try to adjust. Atm i try to drive like this and am stretching the muscles needed daily.

Thanks in advance and sorry for bad wording, im not a native speaker.

SimHub "Paused"

This is happening while playing F1 24 on PS5. Everything has been working great until yesterday. Now it "pauses" for a second every 3 or 4 seconds. It literally says paused on simhub while racing. So my haptics stop and then come right back a second later and it repeats non stop.

I'm sure it has something to do with how the telemetry is being sent. The issue could be the game. I've tried everything I know to fix it. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm stumped and a little bummed I can't figure it out.

Thrustmaster TMX failure

My thrustmaster tmx force feedback just stopped working randomly, mid game, I had headphones on so didn’t hear anything, I plugged the thing directly into the pc and changed the mains socket it’s plugged in t, but no signs of life. When I unplugged it from the mains for the first time I got an electric shock from the live and neutral pins on the plug. I’ve taken it to bits and the transformer was warm, and there are some solder joints on the motherboard that look a bit dodge. Anyone had anything similar happen/know what’s fucked/ knows a fix?

PXN V99 gas and clutch not working

I just got my PXN V99 and when I look at the USB connectivity everything but the gas and pedals work. When I’m in a game I can see that they are there they just don’t send a signal when I press on them

Compatibility help

Does anybody know if there's a way to run the Logitech G Pro Wheel with Fanatec Clubsport V3's pedals on PS5. I have the Logitech racing adapter, but I've heard that it wont-work. Are there any other adapters that will make them compatible?

Thanks in advance for all the help

Gran Turismo 7 - driving setup advice

I just bought GT 7 over the break and my kids (11 and 13) and I are really into it.

I want to spend a little money to get the steering wheel and pedals.

What setup would you guys recommend for the cost/benefit? (I will prob by used gear)

I’ve seen other people recommend VR, etc. but I don’t think I want to invest in that.

What about mounting the wheel and pedals? Are there DIY ways to configure the wheel and pedals?

Is the PXN V99 Steering Wheel any good for sim racing?

Hey everyone! I'm looking into getting a new steering wheel for sim racing and came across the PXN V99. It seems like a good option, but I wanted to hear from people who’ve actually used it. How’s the build quality, force feedback, and overall performance? Is it worth the price, or should I look into something else? Any thoughts would be really helpful!

Thanks in advance!

I'd tell you to roast me but I think it's against the rules. My wheel collection is complete until the next one.

For background, I'm a mediocre simracer and am over the hill so my reactions are even slower now. My dad bod gets in the way on tight turns and I can barely stay up for endurance races anymore. I collect wheels because I'm too lazy to post them on marketplace, eBay or classifieds when I don't like them anymore. Oh, and my photography skills are clearly lacking with my potato phone and Ikea LED USB lighting. Prost!!!

Will this be safe?

Will the r5 be save on the desk?

The desk doesn't sway to much it's more the impacts of crashes that can be a bit brutal.

More concerned if it could damage the cpu or monitor with the shaking at times? Planning on getting a stand for the wheel soon.

How do I fix my G29?

I posted this earlier but I had no comments so I'm posting this again.

I’m not sure if this is the right subreddit for this but I’m having issues with connecting my G29 to my PC. One day I was playing ACC and out of nowhere the game froze, and when I restarted my computer and went back the device wouldn’t show up in the controls section. I went to AC1 and raceroom and they would connect but only if the wheel was in PS3 mode. I’m not sure what the issue is or how to fix it so I would appreciate some help.

Possible first sim racing rig

Does this look any good and is it sensible to mount the wheel base to a desk. At some point in the future I'll buy a cockpit and dedicated monitor.

help with a build

ive recently had a gentleman approach me about building a gaming simulator for his short term rental condos to increase the rent for those rentals. i personal have no experience with the simulator side but have built two computers recently.

I was looking for expert opinions on the products needed to start our "prototype" before he adds them into every building.

i have very minimal information in regards to budget (most likely a mid grade build), simulator genre, or number of builds im sure it would be in the 10-15 range. but i would assume racing/flight simulators. any information will be helpful.

Pedals position

Hi everyone
i was wondering what was the best positin for my pedals. I state i don't have a rig but i builded a small wooden support to prevent moving of my pedals, now my question is I have to put the pedals like "flat" on it or it's better to elevate a bit the rear so the feel more confortable?

SIMAGIC P-HPR

I want to buy the Simagic Haptic Reactors, but I don't know how many.

Either 1 only for the brake, 2 for brake and throttle or 3 for clutch, brake, throttle.

How many do I REALLY need? Will I notice a significant difference on the clutch? Will I notice over- and understeering on the throttle?

Every advice needed, thx

T300, PS5 GT7 + Shifter?

I got a T300 (non RS)for my ps5 gt7. It works fine but im wondering if I can run a shifter with it? Would it be plug and play or would I have to install some drivers or something? Anyone tried this before and know which model would be plug and play?

Thanks in advance

2x 32” side monitors + Ultra Wide center?

I’m sure someone has this setup as I’m thinking of replacing the middle for a “windshield” look.

I’m running 3x 32” ASUS TUF VG32AQA1A monitors for my triple setup.

Wondering what ultrawide center some of you are running to compliment your 32” side monitors and if you have any suggestions, open to them.

Pros? Cons?

Pictures would be awesome too.

Should I upgrade now or wait?

Talking to a guy on FB marketplace about a Fanatec Gran Turismo DD Pro 8nm wheelbase for $300. He will sell me a wrc csl elite steering wheel for another $100. He says it’s barely seen use.

I am currently on my Logitech G293 and it is all I know so far. I haven’t even touched a DD base before. I know it will be a drastic improvement for me, but I am a buy once cry once kind of guy. I have had my eyes and heart set on the Sim magic alpha. I am worried that once I get the taste for a direct drive I will want more. My 40th birthday is coming up this summer and was planning on maybe upgrading to the Simmagic then. Just seems like a pretty good deal right now. I am also mostly a gt or formula racer on iRacing and ACC so the round wheel doesn’t necessarily interest me. It would be the McLaren wheel I would want for this but would let me use it in the meantime. If I could sell it easily down the road that might be an option.

I am curious of your opinions. Thanks

Single Large Screen / Triple Monitors / VR - your preference & why

Hi all, not looking to upgrade or purchase anything, just interested in learning what people's preference is and why, for fun discussion. Personally I prefer one large screen as I like having more vertical screen space, otherwise if wanting a more immersive experience I'll hop in VR.

If you could have the choice of any visuals, with no restriction on budget/space, what would you do?

Is the G29 bad?

I was a controller player for nearly 5 years in various racing games and now I could switch to a G29 wheel.

In this 3 weeks I've been practicing a lot on time trials and so on, the only issue I'm having is when the car is about to lose the rear. I feel like a got no feedback or when a got something it's too late. But watching others streamers on anoother wheel they're capable of recovering the rear of the car on exit.

In a nutshell, I can't find the limit of the car, because whenever I push a little bit I spin out. Is it me that's the problem (do I have to practice more) or the G29 wheel has a low/late feedback as well?
