Looks like I have some butt splicing and wire relocating to do lol
What do you think about this overtake? I’m the white and blue Ferrari POV. To give you some context, it’s the last lap, and the car ahead blocked me several times under braking for two laps straight. He kept going to the inside to defend the corner, so I stayed on the outside to try to go side by side with him but as we got to the corner, he would move back towards the racing line under braking to prevent this, we almost crashed twice because of his last-minute moves, but in the end, it was a good battle and we never touched. On the last lap, as we approached the chicane, I expected him to do the same again, so I waited for his move and just sent it. I think I was 0.3 or 0.4 seconds behind on the relative. Do you think this was a divebomb, or was it a clean overtake?
Hey y’all - finally took the leap and mounted two Dayton bst1’s directly to my sparco evo L. One in my lower back and one under my bum. Anyone with a similar tactile feedback setup mind sharing what settings they are running in sim hub. And don’t worry, I’ve also ordered sim3d pedal rumblers for up front.
Just tried setting up my new DDU in SimHub but it is not being recognized in the software. It obviously powers on but will not communicate. Any suggestions?
I know active peddles are great for break and throttle but what about the clutch. Does it offer any benefit to using one for the clutch. I am new to sim racing and was curious on the performance it wound give.

Everywhere else its 309€ so for anyone wanting to buy it now you have the chance to get it cheaper. Also I think code NITRO5 gives you 5% off.
I have a g29 wheel. I downloaded the demo version. In the settings I cannot choose a controller profile. If I go into calibration I can calibrate the wheel and pedals, so it does see the wheel connected somewhere. But there is nothing happens if I try to assign any controls and I'm unable to check the force feedback box. When I try to race none of the controls are working.
Anyone have any ideas? Cheers
I'm building an ETS2 sim rig and i need to be able to drive 2 transistors with an arduino which control the turn signal's on the instrument cluster. Simhub does not allow me to do this. is there a way to program this myself or a different software which is able to provide me with this functionality?
I got my T300 yesterday. I cannot express how much I love it. Ordering a shifter and a handbrake tomorrow.
Viper Racing was arguably the first sim racer of the 3D-accelerated graphics era. It had an ambitious physics engine that was probably the best of its time, and the development studio was eventually acquired by iRacing a few years ago.
The "horn ball" was a gag feature in the game that could be enabled in a menu. It was a dense ball that could be launched by pressing the keybind for the horn. I don't remember if it was always available, an Easter egg, or enabled after some accomplishment, but it was amusing. In this video, the player makes some great shots at 0:24 and 0:29.
I'm wondering if anything like this is possible in AC, or maybe BeamNG?
Trying to decide which one I should get as my first direct drive wheel Like is there pro's and cons for each one or are they about the same with a different coat of paint or is it the type of market where one brand is way better than the other?
Looking for kinda budget rig, around 500€ for Invictas. I want something that can withstand the brake on them. Drilling is not a problem. Ive been looking at GT1 EVO and TR80 LITE now are those reasonable options?
I know this already exists, but for whatever reason, the .dll will never actually switch for me. This leads to tools like OpenXR Toolkit never working for me. I found out how to do this manually, but wanted to simulate the tool with a small Python Script program. Figured I'd upload this as a template that you can use for any game that supports it, like AMS2, AC, etc. Source is on GitHub so feel free to take a look.
HOW IT WORKS:
Through a GUI, just changes the .dll you provide in the folder with the script to either SteamVR or OpenComposite to support OpenXR. It's a file switcher...
HOW TO USE:
Drag the the x64 Steam version of the .dll for your game into a folder beside the python script. Rename it from "openvr_api.dll" to "SteamVR.dll".
The "OpenComposite.dll" will be the other.
In the script, line 7 change the target directory for your game wherever the "openvr_api.dll" is located.
Line 11 & 12 can stay the same, so long as those two .dll files are in the same folder as the Python script.
Line 32, you can change the name of the switcher if you like.
That's it. Here's a photo of the structure, thanks!
Hi, ive been trying to setup fanaleds to work with my g293 so it uses trueforce and the built in leds with ets2, but it doesnt do anything, and when i run the diagnostic check it doesnt do anything and the hardware tab doesnt show anything but it detects my wheel. Does anyone know how i can make it work?
So I've been running the G920 wheel with T-LCM. I have been thinking of upgrading the wheel and noticed this listing. Is this a good deal for $175?
Looking for a 1000$ Racing and Driving setup, my parents want to buy my brother with autism a very haptic driving sim. I don't know everything about driving sims but would want the whole package like a chassis, Direct-Drive, and haptic chair? Primarily for my brother to learn how to drive but also would be nice to have racing capabilities.
I want to buy the fanatec ClubSport SQ V1.5 shifter and wondered if I should wait for black friday because there are usually good discounts. I know there were major problems with orders and shipping last year after black friday. Is the situation at fanatec any better this year? Should I even buy from fanatec right now? I'm in the eu if that matters.
More still coming in
Hey all
So recently got back into sim racing and have managed to gather up a bit of a rig.
I’ve now been gifted a buttkicker LFE complete with 1000w power amp.
This thing was shaking a sofa before I got it, so well aware the rig would need isolation.
The power amp has a line level and high level input. I’m currently running a fiio k5 pro has a headphone dac/amp.
I’m looking to mount this transducer under the seat. And possible add a smaller additional transducer under the pedals at some point in the future.
The bit I’m struggling with is channel separation.
My fiio has a twin rca line out, which I figure I could push through a y cable to the power amp - not sure if this would give me the correct channel separation in the software to define haptics for multiple transducers, but would this work fine for the 1 I have in its own and not interfere with the headphone audio?
How would you go about expanding this to multiple transducers?
Thanks for any suggestions / help.
Rig in for for those that are interested: Gt one evo triple monitor Bb5 bucket seat Fanatec dd 8nm upgrade with fanatic f1 wheel Fanatec pedal set with load cell.
Currently using single 32” curved 144hz monitor but intend to go VR. (Currently have meta quest 1 but setup seems a PITA!)
Hello sim racers I recently ordered my upgraded sim set up.
As per the many many posts I've researched from this sub and adopted the buy once cry once philosophy.
This is what I've ordered came to about 3000$ CAD
Simagic entry level package from simracing pros. (Alpha mini + GTS wheel+ p500 pedals, moza shifter and moza handbrake.)
Chassis from advance sim racing (asr3 gen2 with a monitor mount and seat with shifter and hand brake mount)
My question is I want to get a 34 inch ultra wide at 3440x1440p.
My computer specs are 7800x3d paired with 7900xt 32gb of ram.
Will I be able to play any sim racing game at high setting and fps with this computer? Thanks.
Deciding what to purchase for triples and keep going back to TV's because 4k is much more affordable than monitors. Wondering if anyone has tried using the TCL Q6 models as they are clearing out for cheap. Any pros or cons? Probably go with 43" as stand would be cheaper and if forced to go with 1440 on anything it wouldn't look as bad on the 43"
I'm a little overwhelmed with video card research. I just built my rig, currently playing with a PS5 and simagic gear via the cortex. I will want to get into iRacing at some point, and have an older PC I want to upgrade. It's a quad-core i7-4790k with 16GB of ram, but only a 2GB card - that's my limiter at the moment.
Current screen setup is a 55" 4K TV that is capable of 144hz - I'm 99% sure that I will never go triples in the foreseeable (lifespan of the computer at least) future, but I may want VR some day (likely a PSVR2 w/PC adapter). What should I be looking at?
Mostly getting back into sim drifting. Some grip and rally will be done as well.
*clears throat*
I just got a Quest 3 so will be using that.
BASE:
(Figuring out what I need for a wheel. I'd like to use my own. Unsure if I need a simagic wheel and my own)

Overall what are your thoughts on this kit? Thank you :)
