Has anyone seen wizards in long robes in Point Loma? What’s the story behind it? I’ve seen a few but never been able to get a good picture.
Browsing weedmaps trying to drop a couple hundred looking for concentrates. Seriously all other local shops/dispos significantly raised their prices to make it look like you're actually saving money.
For example, local shop - normally shatter would be ~$18/gram. They have it marked up now to $25/gram with a "%off", with the sale price out the door at $18. Fucking lame and its so obvious, i was literally on your website two days ago.
Another example. Normally 710 persy is $80 out the door at the shop down the street. Their website (since wedneaday) has had it at $100 with a "20%off". That's not on sale lol
STIIIZY on the other hand, has an actual sale going on. I just got 6 grams of rosin and two grams of diamonds for $90.
Anyways, I'm sure this happens with all types of businesses locally and elsewhere. Anyone have a similar experience lately?
Ok I was born and raised here and as long as I can remember there was a really old grey van maybe like 80’s van that advertised in big red letters “I do divorces” in mission valley. It was always parked along the street of the in n out and I haven’t seen it in a couple of years!! Please tell me I’m not the only one that grew up with this memory and what happened to it! I remember every time I saw it they would be parked in a different spot along the road to avoid a ticket lol

Hey everyone I’m trying to get back in shape and I wanna do so me exercising to go along with my dieting (Ha!). I found someone on here to play tennis which is great. Trying to find someone to go to the gym with. Show me the basics because I’m clueless and also having someone friendly in there in general I think might make it more fun for me. Hi I’m trying to help out a friend who recently got a house in Clairemont. She’s a fire-stove freak and insists on a gas line. I’m looking for reccos on who can install a 100/120 gallon exterior gas cylinder (on a 12x12 slab) and can run and install a new line all the way to her new stove ( the stove comes with a conversion natural-gas-to-propane kit) - and can hook it up with regulator etc. I’d like to buy the gas cylinder outright and then price out gas services. Can you recco plumbers, gas services and anyone in between that can help in this? (Running a new gas line to the street and hooking in to SDGE is about 4K, which is way more than she can spend). Thanks Reddit!
I have big list of places to go and reminisce, but are there any new places/restaurants/things to do that come to mind worth checking out? My partner is Vegan, and we love coffee and records so any new shops to try?
I’m doing terribly. I hardly exist. Not really able to do for myself properly, but not an invalid.
looking for someone with firsthand experience or knows someone who was admitted, rather than just listings
I’ve looked at reviews of places, but it’s hard to know what is genuinely a first-rate place.
-well-staffed, high client-to-worker ratio
Bonus
-fireplace in bedroom/bathroom (perpetually run cold)
I can claim substance abuse if I need to (alcohol), but I’m primarily struggling with mental health, PTSD, OCD, and other comorbidities.
Questions? (Just the name would be good too, you needn’t answer the following)
Website? How long was the stay? Any out of pocket cost? Pros? Cons? Anything to know about first day of admittance? First week? Departure?
Recently set up bottled water service, grossly underestimated how much water we drink. I called our provider and they said there’s nothing they can do until next visit in 3 weeks. Does anyone know if there is a place near downtown to refill the 5 gallon jugs?
Had a frustrating experience with the (lack of) response from the SDPD today at ~2:00pm in Morley Field.
A woman in the passenger seat of a parked car was screaming for somebody to call 911, and yelling for the man in the driver seat to "get his hands off her". I called 911, went through the usual description of the people involved, gave my name, etc. Tried to instill some urgency that they were in a car, but luckily (for some reason) the car's front left tire was off and the man was trying to install the spare.
Over the next 15 minutes this man had enough time to change his whole damn tire, then finally drive off with the woman still in the car. Never even heard a siren in the distance. I called 911 to update them and let them know the car drove away, but there's no way they're finding him now. I've heard nothing but bad things about the SDPD from this sub and finally got to witness it first hand today.
I wanna shout out the SDFD / SD paramedics though. I called them last week (it's been a crazy week) for a man who had collapsed on the sidewalk and they got there in well under 5 minutes, I hadn't even gotten off the phone with 911 yet.
Seems the problem is really lies with SDPD. Are they just understaffed? Do they just not care? Are they just not going to show up unless I explicitly mention somebody is being actively murdered? Frustrating.
Stolen out of the back of my house in City Heights/North Park border, was locked and they torched through it and left the helmet and lock. Please lmk if you’ve seen it or if you guys have any ideas where to look etc.
I have a jewelry business and I’m currently in Sea Hive mini. What other consignment stores do you know that focus on jewelry or vintage items?
Witnessed dolphins swimming close to the beach yesterday at Coronado Beach. Best evening ever!
Hi there! I’m an RN currently working in the ER, looking to move to San Diego in July of 2025. By then I will have had 2 years of experience as an RN, 1 in a critical care unit, and 1 in the ER. I’m looking to stay in the ER and want to know which hospitals I should be looking at. My boyfriend works at Camp Pendleton and so we’re ideally hoping to live closer the there. However for the right job I would commute to San Diego and we would split the distance and live in Encinitas or something. My main question for you sand Diego RNs is which hospitals have the best reputation for; pay, job satisfaction, work culture, etc. I make $50 now in San Luis Obispo and do not want to take a pay cut, but job satisfaction is also very important to me. TIA!!
Hi everyone! Is anyone on here applying this Spring for Fall 2025 cohorts at Miracosta, Palomar, or Grossmont? If so, what are your stats & how many points do you have? I'm getting preapplication anxiety!!!!
And for everyone who has applied in the past, and got accepted or rejected, what were your stats like & how many points did you have? Please let me know!
What are inside jokes or catchphrases that only true Padres fans would know? Is it possible to do in 6 words or less? The best ChatGPT could come up with is: “Slam Diego wasn’t just a moment; it’s a lifestyle.” That's weak sauce. Can you do better?
Hi all, I'm not a big extrovert and just started working out at EoS Fitness. I'm a little out of shape and trying to lose some weight and gain muscles. I'm just doing cardio at the moment since I don't know how to workout properly and use the equipments. It's also a bit awkward since everyone seems to know what they are doing and are typically in groups.
I can't afford a trainer and I was wondering if someone else goes by themselves and would like a friendly face around to workout together? My schedule is pretty open so I can join whenever. I'd love to be friends and workout regularly but I don't mind you just showing me the ropes for a few days. I can get you coffee/something healthy in return.
For reference I'm a guy in my 20's and would prefer working with someone closer to my age.
Just thought I’d share this photo I took while in your beautiful city
We can't go and I don't want the tickets to go to waste. Let me know if you want them!
Hi all, any recs for makeup artists and/or hairstyling? Every quote I’ve received for bridal glam + hair has been $450-500 pp. I wear very little makeup at baseline and just want very natural glam to cover any redness I’ll have throughout the day. I’ve considered doing my own makeup since every time I get makeup done it looks too overdone even when asking for “natural glam”.
Looking for options to include the bridal party as well. Teams can be separate for hair/makeup or can be from the same team. TIA.
