Who is selling reasonable priced trees?
I found myself in Red Deer suddenly, after leaving Edmonton, my home of 10 years. I lived in many areas of Edmonton, the only times I felt unsafe at night was when I lived in Central McDougall and Little Italy right around the pandemic and then a couple years into it.
If you know those neighborhoods, you know the issues around drug use and crime. I was honestly traumatized from some of the things I experienced during my leases in those neighbourhoods.
And now, I look at crime stats and South Hill is over double the stats of Central McDougall.
Am I fucked? How can I keep safe?
Apologies if this is a dumb question. Does anyone know if parking at the ER is free or is paid too? I swear it used to be free to park in Emerg. TIA
What happened there today? Saw lots of firemen there.
First in person date with this woman, she's lived in the area most her life and I've only stuck to places I know are good. Requirements: Any kind of cuisine, good food and atmosphere, decent prices. Something unique would be a plus, not The Keg or Cilantro and Chive...
Does anyone else feel we are the time timberstone/clearview for bad cell service? My calls drop all the time. Really bad dead zone by Anders on the lake area.
Does anyone know of any all ages punk shows happening in the area?
Odd question here, but myself and a coworker have been interested in making a more than decent poutine and we're curious as to where to get some good, honest cheese curds. I tend to use the Squeakers brand but am sure we could get something fresher. Any cheese spots in or around the city?
Hello people of red deer, my name is Austin and I’m looking to have some work shovelling snow! I do $10 per driveway, and another $10 per walkway if anyone is interested in hiring me and discussing times of service please call: 431,388,4774 and I live near Brooks Crescent!
Mu friend just moved here with his kid, and wondering which high school is better.
Just wondering 🤔.
Just moved here and am unsure where I should take my car in. I have a 2001 pontiac aztek. Looking to probably get the CV replaced/fixed.
I’m wondering what the common attitude is towards dogs in social spaces regarding Red Deer folks. I obviously understand they can’t be anywhere where food is served, but do places like warehouse shops and gas stations REALLY care?
Do we have any in RD? I’m not talking Staples type where it’s all mundane and boring.
I’m talking more of a place like Reid’s in Calgary where you’ll find specialty type stuff, fancier stuff, not just mass produced stuff from China.
My husband bought a jacket that was "on sale" for $150 (regular price claimed to be $600, later noticed the actual tag said compare at).
After a few days, a seam under the arm split open six inches long. He wasn't even outside moving around, it just popped all the stitches as he helped one of the kids get ready to go.
No returns. Exchange only within 7 days but only if all the tags are still on. Which means if you've actually worn it, you can't exchange it.
He emailed the company to see if they warranty their work; maybe this was a fluke manufacturing defect and they'd apologize. Nope they told him basically to fuck off. Saying it was on sale and all sales are final.
So do not shop there. It's a scam with poorly made products that will fall apart within days of light use.
Hi friends. I’m one of the many people that want to send out Christmas gifts in the mail and obviously this year is a bit (a lot) more challenging due to the Canada Post strike. I’ve only ever used the Canada Post office in the Deer Park Co Op but with that not being an option right now, I need to look elsewhere. Anyone have leads? I’m desperate. I want to send these out as soon as I can so that they make it in time. Where else can I go? What are my other options?
anyone know or have an idea when any outdoor rinks will be ready
I’ve been wanting some Mac and cheese and would like to know people’s opinions on where has the best Mac and cheese in town
Has anyone seen Tom Yum Soup Paste/bar available at any of the grocery stores in Red Deer?
I love the soup and would like to try making it at home, but the list of raw ingredients for flavoring is rather intimidating.
Hey city of red deer if your gonna plow the bus routes. How about not leaving a windrow in front of the bus stop. I almost fell getting onto the bus because of the windrow.
New to town and looking for a good (preferably local/non-chain) bakery, butcher and fishmonger/seafood department.
I know about Cobbs, but is there anywhere else to try?
Sunterra meat/seafood looks good but the prices are insane.
Thanks!

This is my first winter driving and I’ve noticed some things with my car that I need some technique adjusting or to understand what’s wrong. Sometimes when I’m stopped at an intersection and need to turn my car doesn’t go for a few seconds (only when heavy snow area) and then it gets stuck and goes after a few seconds, my brakes in one area always pump themselves and it gets me stuck before that turn (only under snow ) I have a Mazda 3 2011 I only skid when I’m stopped and have to accelerate again when the light is green. Does anyone know what could be wrong or how I can fix this issue. !! Thank you
Anyone at the co-op in timberlands yesterday evening see a person doing cpr on an elderly man? Without his quick action my FIL would have passed away.
I want to reach out so I can thank him as he is a true hero to my family and I!
If you know this legends details please pm me!
Thanks in advance!
Hi all,
I've been on AISH for 3 yrs now, and I have been struggling to find a support worker who knows aish and won't randomly drop me for whatever reason. Where would the best spot to look for support workers, recommendations? How do I go about getting one?
My last support worker dropped me because I was no longer of age for the program she worked with.
