I don't know why but for some sick twisted reason I want to see them win after the JT Miller trade. Don't get me wrong I'm as big of a Vancouver hater as you can be but I'm having some mixed feelings here
This is for leading both teams in scoring within an individual series. For example, McDavid led the Oilers in scoring with 11 points in the 2024 Cup Final and Rodrigues led the Panthers in scoring with 7 points. Only McDavid would be counted as the leading scorer.

Not sure why the cutoff is 8 series played, but the only other player listed on any other chart that challenges the top 3 is Mike Cammalleri leading 3/5 (60%) of his series he played in.

As a Red Wings fan in Canada, Edmonton is my West team and I always enjoy the Sportsnet broadcast with Jack and Louie. However, watching it from a Red Wings perspective gave me a new appreciation to just how freakin' awesome they are! An absolute breath of fresh air to have opposing announcers not just stroke off their home team and complain whenever any breaks go against them. Throughout the broadcast, Jack and Louie consistently went over the state of the Red Wings in depth, their top players, who's streaking, the youth movement, and weren't over the top homers for the Oilers. How lucky am I to have the two best broadcast teams in the NHL associated with my favourite teams (props to Ken and Mick and Detroit!)
P.S. Jack's call on Edvinsson's injury on the blocked shot had me on the floor laughing!...."To quote Bradley Cooper in Wedding Crashers, Big Tree, Fall Hard."
He currently sits in 5th, but this is what is on the table if he finishes anywhere in the top 10. The higher he finishes, he will of course collect all of those below (so if he finishes 1st, the data for the most top-2 finishes all the way through the most top-10 finishes will also apply):
If McDavid finishes 1st
He'll be tied with Gordie Howe and Mario Lemieux for the 2nd most 1st-place finishes with 6, behind:
Wayne Gretzky - 10
If McDavid finishes 2nd
He'll be tied with Phil Esposito for the 2nd most Top-2 finishes with 8, behind:
Wayne Gretzky - 13
If McDavid finishes 3rd
He'll be 3rd for the most Top-3 finishes with 9, behind:
Wayne Gretzky - 14
Gordie Howe - 12
If McDavid finishes 4th
He'll be tied for 3rd with Mario Lemieux and Stan Mikita for the most Top-4 finishes with 9, behind:
Wayne Gretzky - 15
Gordie Howe - 14
If McDavid finishes 5th
He'll be tied for 3rd with Mario Lemieux, Stan Mikita and Maurice Richard for the most Top-5 finishes with 9, behind:
Gordie Howe - 19
Wayne Gretzky - 16
If McDavid finishes 6th
He'll be tied for 5th with Mario Lemieux, Stan Mikita, Jean Beliveau, Andy Bathgate, Jaromir Jagr and Bobby Hull for the most Top-6 finishes with 9, behind:
Gordie Howe - 20
Wayne Gretzky - 16
Maurice Richard - 10
Sidney Crosby - 10
If McDavid finishes 7th
He'll be tied for 6th with Mario Lemieux, Stan Mikita, Jean Beliveau, Andy Bathgate, Jaromir Jagr and Phil Esposito for the most Top-7 finishes with 9, behind:
Gordie Howe - 20
Wayne Gretzky - 16
Maurice Richard - 11
Sidney Crosby - 10
Bobby Hull - 10
If McDavid finishes 8th
He'll be tied for 9th with Stan Mikita, Andy Bathgate and Phil Esposito for the most Top-8 finishes with 9, behind:
Gordie Howe - 20
Wayne Gretzky - 16
Maurice Richard - 11
Sidney Crosby - 10
Bobby Hull - 10
Mario Lemieux - 10
Jean Beliveau - 10
Jaromir Jagr - 10
If McDavid finishes 9th
He'll be tied for 9th with Stan Mikita, Andy Bathgate, Phil Esposito, Joe Sakic and Alex Delvecchio for the most Top-9 finishes with 9, behind:
Gordie Howe - 21
Wayne Gretzky - 16
Maurice Richard - 11
Bobby Hull - 11
Jean Beliveau - 11
Sidney Crosby - 10
Mario Lemieux - 10
Jaromir Jagr - 10
If McDavid finishes 10th
He'll be tied for 11th with Stan Mikita, Andy Bathgate, Phil Esposito, Howie Morenz and Nels Stewart for the most Top-10 finishes with 9, behind:
Gordie Howe - 21

Oilers Quarter Century team: Worst team editions
So now what we got the best team of the quarter century, I wonder who would be on the worst team if we would ever create one.
For some ground rules, I was thinking of only including guys that played more than 30 games, and not including plugs that play only a handful of games and then immediately get send down or released.
Bonus points for guys that have really high expectations but never live up to them.
I recognized this could create a lot of heated arguments and controversial takes so try to keep this light hearted and fun.
Same rules apply from the previous format: 3 Forwards, 2 Defenceman, 1 Goalie, Team 1 and 2.
Speak your mind.
