The fees on Postmates and Ubereats are pretty high, so the promo they have had for much of this year that cancels all of their arbitrary fees as well as the delivery fee is actually pretty decent when it comes to reducing how much extra they charge you. The email for the promo has no code and says it lasts until the end of this year, but I seem to no longer have it available to me.
It is really hard to contact anyone at Uber for help so I wanted to see if anyone else has access to this promo still or did I get like, shadow banned from it or something?
I order almost every day some type of meal. Sometimes I’m missing my fries, drink or a few items out of my order.
If i complain to postmates, does that have anything to do with the driver and their rating?
For instance, fries from McDonald’s were missing from my order today. Why even get McDonald’s if you’re not eating the most saltiest crack induced French fry on the planet?
Does it have any affect on the driver to say that i didn’t receive them?
The restaurant bags it and seals it before the postmate picks up.
Just want to make sure that I’m not fucking up anyone’s job for my minuscule problems.

Yeah. The other day, I tried to adjust my tip so that the overall total would be a round number (just because it feels good to see the two zeroes. You get it.), and, weirdly enough, my total was like $36.06! So I click again, adjust my tip again—like oh, fifty SEVEN cents, my math must be awful—and AGAIN my total is like $36.09! It takes me a minute to see what’s changing, but then I realize: every time I click on the tip, the “taxes and other fees” goes up! It’s small, by like a cent or two at a time, but I kept clicking and it kept happening. I even tried changing my credit card, clicking “place order” and then “undo,” and going back to the menu but not adding or changing any items and going back to check out.
Every. Single. Time. They upped my total.
Postmates is a giant scam. Don’t order from them.
I’m still not over ordering a meal for pickup, paying $3.59 for a cookie, and getting to the restaurant to see that they sell cookies for $2.99. Absolute insanity.
Hi there, I’m curious if anyone else has had a similar experience and would be interested in joining a class action lawsuit.
This is the 2nd time I have placed an order with Postmates in which the restaurant manager has confirmed my order is out of stock — and Postmates has refused to refund me.
This time, I recorded a call with the manager who confirmed it was out of stock (and thought it was outrageous that Postmates would not refund me) — and additionally, the driver confirmed in a text chat they did not have my order, which I screen-recorded.
Postmates is still refusing to refund it.
If anyone else has had this experience, please comment and I will start reaching out to law firms about this.
So for context my partner and I live outside of LA and oder food from postmates a lot, tonight we decided to order from a Italian place called Fusilli Fusilli which sounded decent for a quick pasta fix - turns out the place doesnt even exist?? It wont show up on google search or on google maps even when clicking on the address provided by postmates. This place is even on other delivery sites and we had horrible food from here and I was really hoping to find some google reviews of this place :/ has anyone else had a experience like this or have ordered from this place before?
The pasta was awful and the sauce was watery with no flavor, my partners pasta was extremely spicy with like chopped Italian sausage haphazardly put in - my fettuccine basically was barely cheese flavored water and noodles and the garlic bread was just bread with a layer of garlic on top plus the lemonade was extremely bitter and definitely was just watered down lemon juice... I feel really scammed rn and its def disappointing bc my dumb pregnant brain was really craving fettuccine
is this possible i am tired of drivers calling me my directions are VERY detailed people are just stupid and will not read. they can text but i am tired of getting calls from drivers. there is a reason i am doing delivery.
My friend and I both ordered the exact same thing from the same restaurant delivered to the same place. But her delivery fees were way cheaper! She's not subscribed to anything and neither am I. Anyone have any idea why?
The food I bought was sent to the wrong house. I couldn’t locate it anywhere around me. I got the refund, but I’m curious to see if the person who got the food will return it or not.
Do not post new user/referral promo codes. You will be banned.
Do not ask for promo codes. Do not complain about the lack of promo codes. Complaining/asking for codes is not going to make more magically appear. Beginning July 2023, this will now result in a permanent ban. More likely than not, you were never contributing codes to the community to begin with.
Top level comments in the promo code thread must be Postmates promo codes that work for existing users. Do not post a promo code that is already in the thread. Reply to that code if you have input. Violations will result in a temporary ban. Multiple violations will result in a permanent ban.
Don't downvote someone just because a code doesn't work for you. Some codes are targeted or region-specific. Others may have expired before you tried it.
"Why does it say there are X comments but I don't see any?" The comment was probably removed by a mod or automoderator because it was a top level comment that was NOT a promo code. In the past, there were numerous complaints about having to scroll through hundreds of comments containing complaints and requests for code before seeing an actual code.
How much do you tend to get paid hourly, and do they cover enough of costs for gas? I just signed up to drive but wondering if most of my earnings will go towards the gas you’re spending to drive around. Thanks!
Seems like the referral bonus stopped working on pickup orders even though the terms does not restrict it to delivery. Same applies to UberEats. Is this happening to anyone else?
Also I would assume the first time user promo doesn't work on pick-ups as well, anyone one can confirm?
I’ve come to the realization that “why am I paying an extra $16-20 for the same food I can eat nice hot and crispy at the restaurant at home?” I find it hilarious how much they increase prices on postmates app even though you are paying for lower quality food… Don’t get my started on the tip and fee.
The last time I used postmates my food was a 5 min drive from where I lived. My driver decided to drive across town for his stop along the way… my food was sitting in their car for 40 min… when I got it I removed the tip because my food was cold.. bro was only 5 min drive away and decided “nah I’ll go the opposite direction for another order”
Yeah I could’ve walked but that was like a 20 min walk in some partially sketchy areas.
I paid $40 for a single meal… that was cold and soggy. That was when I realized “why tf am I wasting money like this”
So this is partially my fault, this is my first time using any delivery platform. My delivery guy asked for the order code so i gave it to him over the in app text messaging because they kept on insisting and I did not know why so I went through. So as some of you would guess, I am now hungry without my food and without my money. How can I report this to postmates and actually get a response? Or should I go through a chargeback process.
Ordered some food, which i do often due to laziness. Shows its being picked up, driver is there for a bit, then shows they are leaving. Still in the "picking up order" status. They proceed to drive much further down the road. Send a message asking if they picked up my food. Not even a minute after i send that message, the status changes to food has been picked up (is the driver responsible for the status update?). Then they drive even further away. I ask again whats going on, they they send a canned response stating its been picked up and im up first with priority. They are in the same spot...which wasnt even a place with a restaurant as far as i know for the next 15-20 minutes. I ask again wtf is going on, they say ETA says 5 minutes. Apparently leave at the door option was removed....so removed our customer message to leave next to the door. Then (for the second time in a row) they message that no apartment number was provided. Checked and it shows in my delivery info. So a mixture of completely obvious incompetence from the driver and app being dumb.
Is this a driver obviously double apping? Something was VERY off about this whole experience.

i ordered food for pickup and immediately realized i placed the order at the wrong location, one that was a 30 min drive from me. so i canceled the order before the restaurant even accepted the order, literally within a minute of placing the order. after u canceled, postmates said it would take up to 48 hours to process the refund. i wait 48 hours and the refund isn’t in my account, i was charged for the cancelled order. so i contact customer support and they said they can’t give any refunds after 48 hours and told me to contact customer support sooner next time, there’s nothing they can do and it’s my fault for not contacting them immediately. sounds like a trap. there will be no next time lol. i’m deleting the app.
Yesterday I ordered a Sandwich and Protein Smoothie for my post workout. When my Order arrived, the Smoothie was missing. I only placed this order together in expectation of receiving the Smoothie. I contacted Support and they took 48 hours before the told me to send another photo of the missing item? I'm like what? How do I send a photo of a non existent entity. In any event, I did send another photo of the receipt, which clearly shows for some odd reason the Smoothie was not even printed. So its clear with the Official receipt, they missed an item in my order.
Their response was a robotic "this order is not eligible for a refund". Somebody named Rayni just auto responding "this order is not eligible for a refund". Great, take all my money while delivering me half of my order.
3 days later I am coming to terms with the reality that Postmates has officially scammed me. They charged my card $34.71 for a measly sandwich. Unlucky for me, I placed this order on a Visa Rewards Card, not my actual credit card, so reporting it to dispute the charges is gonna be another layer of wasted time.
What a complete joke. Safe to say I will never place another order from Postmates, Uber, or UberEats. Doordash you up? What an awful company. No wonder they have never actually made a profit in their lifetime.
I have two postmates accounts that has uber one but it’s been so long I forot the credentials to them anyone know how I can cancel these accounts?
Edit: Just in case anyone got the same problem, if you don’t find the email/ phone # associated with the account you’re basically screwed. Support will only give you the name the account has and their privacy and terms stops them from telling you the email or phone number even though your card is attached to the account, it’s dumb. You’d have to do something with your bank atp. Thank you for the replies trying to help guys

I received only half of what I ordered, looking to be at fault of the restaurant as everything arrived package sealed.
When I reached out to customer support about this, they just endlessly tell me that my order isn’t eligible for a refund. Not even singular items. I spoke with someone at customer support via phone, and all they told me was that they’d be in contact with me via email, and that there’s nothing they can do for me over the phone.
They reached out via email, and once again was met with “I understand this is frustrating, but this order is not eligible for a refund.” Stone walled.
What do I do?

Seems like the buy 1 get 1 free, and any other special prices won't be of any use anymore. That's quite a shame. Looks like we all have to order the non-special discounts in order to get the coupon useful.
I received a promo code that's available for my account. But when I try to claim it, it shows 'Promo Claimed' but never applies to my account. I reached out to a customer rep, and they told me to place an order first, and then they would manually refund or adjust the promo amount. After I ordered, another rep told me that Postmates had disabled the promo and couldn’t do anything about it. I know the promo isn't worth much, but if you're not going to honor it, then don’t offer it. Why bait someone into using it only to say afterward that it can't be adjusted?
I need help with canceling my uber one subscription and it this whole process is just horrible they are trying their best to make sure they can milk me for as much money as they can, I’ve been trying to get in contact with customer support all day but it’s like texting a brick wall, they never respond idk how I’m going to get it canceled but I need help, all I know is I’ve been going in loops all day and it’s very tiring.
