I only shop at my local stores that I know where everything is… and I know which stores to stay away from. (Aldi, Walmart,Target) pick your local store and learn the layout… it works out best that way
is anyone else shockingly surprised at how much they earned through instacart last year ?? because i literally didn’t believe it but once I started adding each week and I guess it makes sense… tho maybe im just shocked because im still so broke lmao 🤣
I’m curious how long it takes you to shop and deliver an order?
I live in a small town, it can take me anywhere from 5-12 minutes to get to my delivery location from the shopping area.
Under 10 items takes me 30 minutes all together (arrival, shop and deliver). But anything over takes me up to an hour and then longer for the larger orders over 50 items. Today I happened to make an order happen in 15 minutes?? I am naturally a slower moving person, but it feels like I’m making this take longer than it should 😂
My app hovers my total speed between 95 and 96…. Is this good?
I chatted with my original shopper throughout the whole thing. I got a notification within 10 minutes of Christina's (my original shopper) last message saying she had checked out and would be here within like 30 minutes.
30 mins goes by, nothing, no updates, then I get a notice Fatima has "finished shopping" and will be here with a 40 minute window, which they were (she had a guy with her, it was after dark, I have no issues with safety coupling). Never got anything about Christina (who admitted at the beginning of the shopping that she was brand new), no survey, no nothing. She's the one that did everything except the delivery... is this normal?
So I took a 7 item order from Safeway. While on my way to deliver I get a notification that "item im working on has been removed by the customer" . I looked at the list of items and the bag of BBQ pellets was missing from the list. By this time I was already in front of the customers house getting ready to deliver the order. I went into the chat to send her a message and it shows that she had added more 20 pound bags of pellets to the order (after I had already checked out) I sent a message letting her know that if she changed her order, I was unable to make the changes as I was already at her house delivering. Left the items and took pic and left. 20 min later she sends me a text through the app that it never showed me as shopping her order and to "close it out from my end" so it won't be reassigned to another shopper. My delivery photo was still in the chat as well. I guess the app is messed up on their ends and ours as well now?
Hopefully this weekend will be fruitful
IC support is overloaded right now cus of the pending pay issue so I’m coming to Reddit instead. 😑 Not waiting forever to get in touch with them cus the pay isn’t worth my time waiting. 😂
Anyways this dude ordered some dang non-alcoholic seltzers & beer like it could have at least been alcoholic. 😒 Right as I arrived I get a notification that says “order removed from batch.” Am I still gonna paid for the time I spent fulfilling his order does anyone know?? Like do we still get batch pay if they cancel cus this is ridiculous.
I can’t know if I did get paid because it says pending pay 😑
I’m returning his BS cus I’m not interested in drinking some non-alcoholic alcohol?? There was also ice cream! That’s going in the trash. 🗑️🚮
Just accepted an order to shop for groceries at Target and deliver to one person. Before accepting, it said I would earn $19 total. Started shopping, got a notification that I would earn $21 due a slight order change.
Checked out. Drove 8 mins to the apartment. Set bags at door and knocked. Woman answered and so I clicked to complete order. Instacart account shows I earned $6.25 in batch earnings. No line for a tip amount at all.
People do that?! People wait til right at delivery and remove the entire tip to save money?!
I found all her items and delivered 15 minutes ahead of the expected time. F***ing cheap ass people
Anybody else having a super hard time getting a hold of support? This is my third time it's timed out on me before getting to someone, so I've spent p much almost 2 hrs waiting on support
I’m stuck with a completed order and Support is 45 min wait. Fuck my life
Less competition would be amazing, lets see if we feel any difference.
Anyone in STL used the new Schnucks micro fulfillment center in Ellisville yet for delivery-only orders? What’s it like?
I’m just asking because there are always so many orders that I get. I feel bad looking at some of the posts. If there are no batches I just sit there for like 5 minutes and then I’ll get like 6 that pop up. I don’t think I would do instacart if I couldn’t get an order in <10 minutes. I hope I can keep getting good orders and I hope you are all able to. Drive safe 💨💨
Is this showing up for anyone else? I should have a $45 tip with that order 😡
Know the app has been having allot of issues with pending pay, and I had to call earlier to complete a batch. But now I had an issue at my most frequent store with the card declining multiple times. After a few I finally got it approved, just another weird issue with the system tonight apparently.
So. Not for me. For my wife because it was her experience. We both do the gig but she does it mostly because I just hate shopping. I do more DD. But anywho. Customer took away a $10 tip from a $24 order before she even got in the car after spending 30mins shopping a $300 worth of groceries order. She was so pissed to the point she cried. Is there anything Support could or would do? Or how would any one of you handle this? I’m sure it’s happened to some of you before if not plenty of times if you’ve done it long enough.
First time it’s happened today. Logged in/out, refreshed/updated the app. Been like this for 20 minutes now. 30.00+ batch too, delivered as normal no problems.
First 7 batches all show the pay normally.
Any tips to cherry picking?
It’s happened to me twice. Just now I checked out and as soon as I got to my car it said batch removed. Idk if it’s just coincidence and two customers cancelled their orders or if it’s a glitch. Do customers even have the ability to cancel after checkout? The other order had alcohol and it didn’t prompt me to return it or anything. Weird.
Super annoying. Especially the ones that order shit that’s out of stock and have no back up replacements
I just shopped an order and as I was pulling up to deliver the order got canceled. I did get the batch pay but now what? Am I supposed to return items? Customer service is busy at the moment and I've been waiting 10 minutes to speak to someone
The app is so glitchy right now, I have three orders and it won't let me move on to delivery. And of course support isn't answering :(
So I took an order today was scrolling through the list it said alcohol and listed under was Snapple ice tea lol. I hit the back button than notice by navigate it doesn’t say the usual “ only alcohol can be shopped here “ I’m like hm weird ( even though Snapple is not alcohol it usually says that when it makes you scan IF for random stuff.) I get to the store and go to check out no birthday came up and went to deliver and didn’t ask to scan. And I even checked the list again and it went back to the category beverages. It was so weird.
Has anyone else have issues with them not getting back to you in the chat today?
