To give some background, I’ve been driving for flex since September and my standing is fantastic. I took two weeks off because I’m a nursing student and I was super busy and now I’m not being offered any blocks anymore. Before there was always SOMETHING being offered but now it just says “no offers available”. I’ve looked multiple times a day all week and still no offers. I contacted support but they were no help. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Any advice would be appreciated!
I've been dealing with a glitch on and off that if they send out an incomplete route and then the packages are ready later in the day it sends me back to the station last time it was 7 hours after my block finished this time it was like 6 hours after my time finished
My husband and I started driving for Flex over the summer. We both work full time and do this as a side gig.
What does the holiday season typically look like with Flex? Does it get crazy busy? Are there more surges?
I am considering taking a couple days of PTO so I can get some extra blocks in. Does it pick up before Thanksgiving or generally after? What does the Friday - Sunday after Thanksgiving look like?
And yet the pay stays the same
Can’t believe this took me almost 5 hours and 5 Return packages. With little to no parking and tow zone.
Is anyone familur with areas the Wixom, MI (VTWT) cities cover? They have a lot of postings but, don't want to end up in another state or something.
Thanks in advance,
Pat
People are starting to use bots again. Have to fight to get a decent block.
I hate delivering during this time a yeah
2hr
Got to my shift at 945am. Waiting almost an hour. I got this order at 10:43am. Seriously? The first stop is about 45 mins. I did a quick google maps and decided it was a no for me.
Does anyone know how long it takes for past defiencies to come off your history, or to move up in standings? Thanks.
For those who are on multiple gig apps: How do you prioritize which ones you're gonna do? I'll go first.
Spark - Pending completion of background check. Curious to see how busy this is in my area.
GrubHub - On wait-list
Uber & DoorDash - Deactivated for non work related reckless driving misdemeanor from 2019 that appeared on my background check. Hope DoorDash will let me back in after enough time goes by (7 years??). I think I could earn well combining Flex & DD.
I got nothing since 12am.
Simply put, fuck no. The routes are getting worst for little pay and no other reimbursement.
It’s crazy when this company’s owner is loaded and us little people are penny pinching.
Fuck Jeff. Get somebody else to do it.
From what I've seen, Flex won't refresh you with any more offers for the rest of the day after finishing a request block.
Hey everyone! New driver here, been delivering for Amazon Flex for about two weeks, so I’m definitely not a pro yet. Today, I had a route in North Yorkshire after dark, and honestly, it was the wildest (and spookiest) experience so far.
• Signal Issues: I’m on 3 network, and there was no signal at all. Made navigating extra fun.
• Remote Farmland Stops: First stop was about 25 miles from the warehouse, in the middle of nowhere.
• Rough Roads: Some of these roads were barely roads—grass growing in the middle, deep potholes, winding paths with no streetlights.
• Eerie Deliveries: One delivery was to a farmhouse that had a “no entry” sign, and there was this huge, creepy building looming in the background. Felt like a scene out of a horror movie.
• Strange Encounters: My final stop was to a pair of attached houses. The customer opened the door, took the package without a word, and closed it immediately. As I was reversing to leave, my headlights hit the window and, through the glass, I saw a lady just staring out at me, totally still—even when the lights hit her. Gave me a bit of a chill, not gonna lie!
Anyone else have routes like this in rural areas? Or any tips for handling these remote stops after dark?
When you have an OTP package, the wording in the disclaimer you have to accept says that the recipient has to be "physically present". Last night I had an OTP...but ended up speaking to the recipient via their ring doorbell (they were away for a couple of days). They provided the OTP and asked me to leave the box at the door and they would get a neighbor to collect in the morning.....but, technically, they weren't "physically present". I do subscribe to the mantra of always deliver, never return though, so this seemed like an acceptable option to me.
You see the address when you start but then it's gone, it used to be on top, so now you get to a gate and have to go back a screen if they ask where you are going. I also liked to see the address in case it was a main road and I knew I had to slow down to see the mailbox numbers or count the houses from the corner.
Also the notes are gone, today I had one gated small place and I had to hit gps is wrong to see the notes, I got lucky and the code was correct but we should not have to do this to read notes or see codes.
and also the route to the next stop, blue line was missing and one once or twice did I see the uturn thing at a stop and the route I had was mostly canals so many of them were uturns and sometimes I would have to do an extra uturn because I could not tell which way it wanted me to go.
the x on the bottom doesn't do anything. the thing on the bottom right shows the maps farther away.
A friend that does Flex as well got a garnishment judgment and the creditor believes he an employee for Amazon after checking his credit. Does Amazon go out there way to garnish their contractors?
Genuinely curious about this so I wanted to ask the driving community. The code to this blue door is listed in the delivery instructions with a clear request to please leave package inside the door. Nearly every time I get a package it's on the sidewalk of a major street that sees foot traffic all day. Is there a way I can address this, am I doing something wrong with my request, or is this just driver error?
It's obvious that Amazon flex program It's implementing changes wether is the app, surges rates timing, request for future blocks, canceled many AM blocks and lowered base pay.
Have you noticed any new other changes or have you heard anything from your wharehouse workers ?
Happy Halloween everybody! Be careful out there tonight with all the adorable ghosts and goblins roaming around!
I’ve been doing flex for about 4 months and I have only done SSD blocks. Doing my first Amazon.com block tomorrow. Anyone noticed any big differences between the to? Anything I should be expecting that’s totally different? Thanks in advance!
October 22 was my first day delivering packages for flex, I did not know that if you bring packages back to station because of not getting access to buildings or business (after hours), you get dinged for it, which I learnt from the people of this community. So thanks to all of you.
Then I started delivering packages in the hidden areas and sending pictures selecting front door or another safe location. I have delivered every package on my end. Now come is it my fault if the customer did not receive the package? May be it got stolen from outside the building? May be the customer is lying to get a refund or another package? Who knows!
But what can I do in this case? I am stuck between HAVE TO DELIVER THE PACKAGES NO MATTER WHAT and CUSTOMERS MUST RECEIVE PACKAGES.
Also, will my rating improve with the time? Can I actually ask customers to leave me a rating like instacart?
Please help me out as this is my side gig and I just started and barely get any blocks. My rating was mid great, now it is sitting at upper fair.
