Also, I've had two blocks in a row where customers don't know what a enclosed porch definition is. They list specific instructions that it's the house with the enclosed porch or to leave it on the enclosed porch.

This leaves me triple-checking like a weirdo wandering around & backtracking at 4 a.m. seeing if I'm making a mistake.

The first one was a large traditional open porch. It was covered but it wasn't enclosed. The second one was just a small landing pad by the front door with an overhang. Definitely not enclosed and I wouldn't even call it a porch.

So today, I was locked into an apartment complex. It had 1-click entry but the option to leave disappeared from my itinerary. So I called Support, to see if they could open it for me.

I'm speaking to this lady from India and she said that she can't help me but she gave me a number to call. She assured me they could help.

I dial the number and this guy answers with a thick British accent and says, "Scotland Yard."

?!?

I say, "THE Scotland Yard??"

And British guy says, "Yes, are you in need of assistance?"

Thinking I'm still not hearing correctly, I said, "You're not affiliated with Amazon, are you?"

"Ah, no"

I thanked him and hung up.

Support gave me the number to Scotland Yard to call for help! I was so flabbergasted, I called my wife just to laugh about it. So random, had to share.

Right then, someone was leaving and I was able to escape the apartment complex.

I seen other flexers post about this and a lot of responses on what to do in this type of scenario. So I thought I’d share what happened to me today so we could share a laugh 😆 I obviously wouldn’t go inside with the dogs roaming around. They actually weren’t small dogs they were mid sized and as soon as I got close to the fence one of the dogs charged towards me. I didn’t feel scared cause gate was closed but it just made me think, what if I would’ve gone inside and thought dogs were harmless like the notes say. It’s definitely a lawsuit against the homeowner. It’s in their best interest if no one gets bit by their dogs. So why would they add these type of notes?? 😅

I mark my packages in order and I was moving them up to the front seat towards the end of the route and I see an unmarked box and was confused. This was a first for me!

Any advice on how to organize the packages ? I tried going based off of the first page when you get the route but it didnt seem like it was in order

When you guys do fresh and are finished early, do you guys go back to the store or just drive home? Does it affect you if you don’t go back to the store ? My GPS said I would arrive 30 minutes before my end block time. So I decided to just drive home

This is the second time I saw this. In this particular case, the guy was being aggressive about me signing in to start my shift. I figured if his shift started before mine, I’d let him go ahead of me, but he had an attitude and said he didn’t have to tell me. Long story short he had to wait I signed in he went onto the computer to do what I thought was signing in, I got a shift he drove away. If his shift just started, he couldn’t of left unless he was just being derelict on his shift. This is the second time I’ve seen somebody go onto the computer as if they’re signing in and then leave to go do something else. What is going on? Is this part of some sort of/website thing that helps people get shifts?

I try to chat drivers as much as possible to share best practices. I’ve noticed fair amount of drivers are doing shifts that don’t financially make sense.

Example; people travelling over 10 miles to do a 1.5 hour Morrisons run that’s worth, £28.50, petrols gonna cost £6-£8 + insurance, which means their making £20 for 1.5 hours, £13 ph + extra travel time to get back home!

Just sharing what I’ve noticed to make people more conscious of making sure they do shifts that make financial sense for themselves and not just working for fun! 🤓

I have gotten several emails saying I don't follow the delivery instructions. Anyone get deactivated for not hiding shit in the bushes and leaving boxes on top of those stupid Luxor lockers?

Since my AM route and my PM route, I kept getting a pop-up that tells me that I should take a break. Anyway of turning it off, it was extremely annoying, anyway of turning it off?

I am suddenly finding myself doing this stupid puzzles that appear when selecting a block. When I start the puzzle and somehow get it wrong I have to start again and they add more steps to the puzzles and by the time I finally get it the blocks is already taken. Anyone else having this issue?

I have been doing Amazon Flex this past year with another job that gives W2’s I did my taxes and filed as “married filing joint” I did put aside money to pay taxes when it came time to, but after inputting all my information into the site it gave me my refund amount and didnt say I had to pay anything. I’m new to 1099’s so is there something I have to do further to make sure I dont owe anything? or am I good?
