Almost got trapped today in a community.

It's not that large it's about 2 blocks long and a small block wide and shaped like a horseshoe..

I've delivered DoorDash to those before in the past and never had an issue getting out. There is a gate on both sides.

One click access opened it on the right side. the buildings, condos are all slanted at an angle, so I finish and think it must be one way.

I go out towards the opposite gate I went in. I get there and it doesn't open and then I see a sign that says entrance only. I make a uturn and go back all the way around to the way I get in.

I get there and the gate does no open and see entrance only on this side too.

I did see a note before dropping off that said to leave it up the stairs near the front door and the exit is on such and such a street which didn't mean anything to me.

So I had to make another tight uturn hitting the curb twice backing up , really a 3 point turn.

Then I see a small sign that pointed to the exit

it was 5am and everything was dark

The exit was at the back part of the horseshoe to the left, but the other similar ones nearby don't have a small side street or alley to exit from.

Let My Bullshit Be A Lesson For Anyone Who Doesn’t Know..Don’t EVER Trust Those Cocksuckers At Support.

In the 10 months I’ve been doing this. Never had an issue before. Never needed anyone to tell me how to do this job. The one time I really reached out to support and they reassured me they would take care of the discrepancy. They fucking lied. They fucked me in the ass, raw dogged, no third base, no lube, and I have nothing to show for it. Thankfully I have the senior team investigating and I’m somewhat confident based on the recorded calls with those fucks will clear my name. But wtf am I supposed to do in the mean time?

I honestly don’t feel like getting into what happened. It’s so stupid. I just wanted my stupidity to be a lesson. “Don’t worry, we’ll take care of it.” Is a death sentence. They don’t give a shit about what you have to say, they have a quota to reach, they will easily put you in a shitty situation and lie to your face to get you off the phone. And I was stupid enough to take the bait. I know most Flexers probably know this, but for those who don’t. Just don’t do it. And if you still do anyway, make sure you reach out to jeff@amazon.com. They’re the only team that will truly try and find the truth of things. That’s all.

App

I have a question so we’re here at the warehouse waiting. We had a block for five hours and all of a sudden the app went completely blank. Does that mean the order got canceled or we got sent home?

Stupid People!

Ok so yesterday I got a 3.5 $122 and the station 10 minutes away. Apparently I wish I had just dropped the route but didn’t. They had to help the dps located in another city and thank goodness I never take base! I had my first deliver 30 minutes away!

And sure had to reroute. So it wasn’t too bad, but sure enough that ONE! On the label it specifically says next to their name to deliver to locker, not an Amazon locker. So finally it was his turn and mother efer! It was a mailroom where they have to give you a code! And I always text the customer that I’m on my way blah blah, but guess what? No number!

No code and no way to reach the customer! There was no way to reach to this idiot! And why did Amazon take me right to the location of the mailroom?! And no way to get inside behind the gate! Sure left that package out in front of the mailroom. So he will see where it was left! I swear if I could’ve driven in, I would’ve went to their apartment and hell Yeah knock and hoped they’d be home to tell them to fix there shit!

So how was everyone’s last nights block? 😂😂😂

??

Brand new to Flex and I not done a delivery yet or should I say block. I do not understand it at if you accept or schedule a block how do you find out how many miles you will have to Drive and where? How do you find out what items or packages you will be delivering? Or do just accept a block and go into it blind not knowing how many miles you will be driving and where? So I show a 4 hour block for $68 do you actually have to deliver for 4 hours if so this is a the stupidest platform I’ve ever seen. I do spark mostly now and this morning I made $80 in 2 hours doing 4 deliveries. So unless I’m missing something who in there right mind would do this for garbage pay and have no clue how far you are even driving I mean at that garbage pay 68 dollars for 4 hours that’s not even 18 hour. I hoping I’m missing something because If not I will never do this.

Dear customers

If your gated community requires a clicker/ doesn't have a call box... send that shit to a damn nearby locker and go pick it up. Stop being lazy fucks. I've always been lucky to tailgate someone in, in a timely manner. But than end up waiting 10+ minutes to tailgate someone out after almost tapping the gate just to find out there's no egress sensor. My last two stops today lol way to screw up a good 4 hour block I could've been home by the third hour ffs. Some absolute bullshit.

At risk for a return (from a route that wouldn’t fit in my car so I refused the route)

I made a post the other day about being paid for a block that I didn’t work. I scanned all the packages in, but could not fit them in my car because they were all medium and large boxes. Now it says I’m at risk for deactivation because I have to return a package from that route. Obviously I don’t have any of the packages but when they cleared my itinerary, they left one package on the “today’s itinerary” and it stayed there for 24 hours. And then it was gone. Do we think I can get in trouble for this? Also, do you think they’ll take my money back that they paid me?😩 i’ve had a stressful couple of days I didn’t need this.

Two routes from two separate warehouses assigned in one block?

Anyone have this happen before? Scanned my route and it added a second route at a warehouse 45 minutes away. It said all the packages were included in the first pickup. Very odd. Support has been useless as usual

No shame

I’m currently sitting in my war waiting for a block to be assigned and the guy next to me is using a bot to refresh. I can literally see as it refreshes it for him and he’s just on his phone glancing at it occasionally to make sure he didn’t get a block. I thought Amazon was on top of this?!

It makes me very upset and I’m debating if I should report him to support. Should I report him?

When you pick up a block that starts in 10 minutes…

And you live 20 minutes away from the warehouse. Thank goodness it was 3:30 am.

Send home with no route.

I recently just started driving. I showed up for my block this morning and me and the other line of cars had our QR code scanned and then they sent us home and said there were no routes today. Do I still get paid?

Go Ahead, Report Me

Anyone else laugh at these ridiculous threatening signs?? How about you give 1-click access after hours and maybe you wouldn’t have “dropped pkg” issues.

News Flash Santa ain’t firing no elves from your petty, overbearing, micromanaging report.

Here is a little story

I have a fun little story for everyone about why you NEVER take a route for base pay.

I havent been doing routes very much this year as my warehouse seems to have upped packages and upped distances for routes significantly this year.

Base pay for a 3 hour route in my area is 61.50.

I took a 3 hour route today for 102$ so way above base pay. Guess what, my costs pretty much outweigh my compensation.

Gas= 20$ Milage= 102 miles Time= half our drive to stations plus 3 hours and 15 minutes of a route.

My estimated tax deductions for milage, also known as my cost for operating my vehicle= 85$.

So my costs for this route are:

85$ in vehicle depreciation 20$ in gas 105$ total.

So let's do the math. My costs to "operate my business" 105, my compensation $102. So I paid amazon 3$ and gave them four hours of my time for an opportunity to deliver there crap.

Now I know some people will say "why do you drive a vehicle with such bad gas milage?" To which i reply, i hear your point but its my reality. So let's pretend i drive a prius, with 5$ gas cost and base pay, it's the same story.

Moral of the story NEVER take base pay. You are screwing yourself and amazon is taking advantage of you. Infant, even at surge pay they are often still exploiting you.
