Probably not legal to talk about this topic here, but I'm not using names. So it should be ok.
Is there a problem with customers being hacked on bite squad or waitr? Happened to a customer I was picking up for this morning.
My husband and I both drove for Bite Squad.. Prior to it changing over to being self employed it was decent. Then we switched over and we worked it for awhile... then cut our losses.. I would start out at 7 am...work straight thru until 7 pm... Lucky if I made $60 nevermind $100..Husband worked nights.. same thing.. We ended up starting a junk removal service.. We are 2 years strong.. Ironically BS still texts me asking to log in a deliver.. pffft... I'd rather chew glass..
I applied to be a driver, they said I should be receiving an email to schedule an interview but I haven’t received anything?
Just started working for bitesquad. I love it. My question is, how late can you work and early in the morning can you start? Just wondering thanks!
Everytime I try to login, it registers after I put my info in and doesn’t do anything. I have deleted and reinstalled the app more than 5 times at this point and I just wanna make money!
And now I am leaving reviews everywhere instead of just on Facebook. Good job blocking instead of addressing issues. Just proving you're company is crap. I just want to let everyone know not to work for this lying, stealing, unprofessional company, These THIEVES will take money over and over. Send you to closed restaurants, the same ones again and again, Call to let them know a place is closed, Then, they send you another (or the same) order for the same place, Terribly run! Expect you to keep working for$3-4 an hour.
Does anyone look at the expected pickup and delivery to tell how far the order is ?
How does everybody like the new app?
Just got my BiteSquad account hacked for the SECOND time. Clearly they’re lacking in proper security. I’m having a conversation with one of the supervisors named, Barbara, and she completely ignored my question when I asked how they’re keeping everyone’s information safe. The first time this happened, there were around 9 transactions made, each around $100, this time (luckily) it was only one transaction, but it was $143.35. They also don’t have a phone number to call about this, and now they’re telling me to email their support email about it. I find this situation completely ridiculous, this shouldn’t have happened to begin with. They need to work to secure everyone’s information properly!
Today at around 9:05 PM I got a message on my gmail about a password change on Bite Squad, a food delivery service apparently. I never recalled making an account there so I searched my emails and found out that someone had signed me up on the 25th of August.
They've signed me up with the name Jackerson. Whatever the fuck that's supposed to mean.
This isn't an isolated incident. I've been signed up to home renovation websites, financial banking websites, etc.
Around 2020 they tried getting into my email (I assume they got my old password from a data breach) but they had failed. They tried doing the same to an old Facebook account, which they failed again at.
I've already changed my passwords on everything I use. So I'm not worried about that. What I am interested in however, is why the fuck would anyone want to do anything with me in the first place? I live a secluded life, I try not to interact with people, let alone make enemies.
I don't have any funds stored online. I'm not some big shot who drives a Ferrari, I'm nobody. I live a miserable life alone. Hell, my email has my real name on it - a simple facebook search will bring my face up in a matter of seconds. I have nothing to my name, I don't even have interesting pictures or anything because I haven't visited other countries.
Maybe it's just a bot program designed to check the activity of emails in order to send more spam. I don't honestly know. If this is a real person then that's just sad. You could have spent your life doing something interesting, instead you chose to spend it on a loser. Maybe out of some anger or fascination? They aren't even threatening emails. They're joke emails at this point.
So, if you really are a real person and not just lines of code, let me ask the million dollar question: why? Maybe you'll never see this, but I'm curious stranger. We probably live across the globe from each other. So why? You can't even see my reaction. In a way, I'm flattered. I guess in all of my loneliness I have you. The invisible harbinger of food delivery.
If this ever reaches you, which it probably won't, drop me a line. You already know my email address. You might even be on reddit. Who knows?
Delivery requests for places 30 minutes away from you going to 15 minutes even further for an hour round trip = $6 pay. You get to fork out $4 in gas. Even federal mileage rate of .59 cents per mile would require it to be at least a $15-17 trip + min. wage + tips.
This is a daily thing, keep declining them crappy orders.
What is the clock in/out feature for? This is my first scheduled shift. I haven’t had to clock in when I have just logged on to work.
Is there anyway to drop and order? Because, I am NOT taking another order 8.4 miles (16.8 round trip) for $6.50 again. TIA.
I’ve been driving exclusively for BiteSquad for several months with no major problems. Sometimes I have to wait about 10 minutes to get an order, mostly less. I’ve been averaging decently above minimum wage for my state.
Starting Monday of this week they switched my region to a “minimum acceptance rate” model of employment. Now I am receiving at MOST 1 order an hour during my scheduled block hours. My last shift of 2hrs30min I got 1! (ONE!) order for $5.50.
Am I in error thinking there is absolutely NO way that there are suddenly that many drivers or that few orders around? They are just trying to get me off their platform?
So I say again: WTF BiteSquad?
I did my first two orders on BiteSquad today. I did my last two orders on BS today. What a joke of an app, I wish I would have checked this sub before giving out my personal info, but live and learn.
Weekend guarantee of $7.50 essentially means BiteSquad wants you to believe they're doing you a favor 'giving' you 7.50, even when an order exceeds that value. Every order has been exactly 7.50, over and over. You'll never see that with other delivery services. It's high time the lawyers step in and we jump on a class action lawsuit. If you've taken runs for this scam company in the last year, you're included.
So just got an email that says Bite Squad will now deactivate anyone below 60% acceptance rate. The email seems to blame drivers for late orders and loss of customers.
MAYBE it's the app that was clearly designed by a toddler! How in the world do they expect drivers to want to deliver using their app when they don't show distance or where the delivery is going?
EMAIL:
We are shaking things up in an effort to improve both the driver and customer experience.
We’re tracking your order acceptance rate and will begin reporting it to you daily. Beginning October 18, 2021, having an Acceptance Rate higher than 60% will be needed to ensure access to our delivery platform.
Delivery logistics reserves the right to limit access to our platform for acceptance rates below 60%. (Higher acceptance rate means quicker service for our customers and more repeat orders!)
Why is this important? Less rejected orders leads to faster service for customers, leading to repeat business! Orders that are rejected multiple times end up late, leading to losing that customer.
How will this benefit you? With more drivers accepting orders, less drivers will be needed to complete our orders. Having less drivers on the road will lead to more orders per driver - and more earnings!
All mileage rates are being analyzed to ensure the longest distance orders are worth more for the drivers. For the first three weeks of the program, in order to incentivize higher acceptance rates, drivers with a 90% acceptance rate w/ at least 15 orders will get a $15 bonus.
I got the unlimited plan because it seemed like a good deal. I quickly realized they charged you fees on the backend of your orders that are equal to the cost of delivery, so it’s not really “free delivery.”
There’s no option to cancel my plan online, so I let my card simply expire. Well, come to find out, they have been charging my card (that expired 04/2020) every month for a service I don’t even use. I had to get online to do a “live chat” just to finally find out how to cancel the service, and they refused to give me a refund, expect on this current month.
Extremely shady business practices designed to take advantage of people. I still have no idea how they kept using my expired card. I filed a complaint to the BBB.
Tell me why a group of boys that go to Kathleen high school in Florida spent 80$ worth of food on my account. I live in Arkansas.. how tf did they get my information??
I’ve reported everything and got a refund but I think everyone should delete their saved information!!
I'm not driving 16 miles round trip for 6 measly dollars.
Any other drivers having zero open blocks available for any days, upcoming or current?
Avg Cost of Maintenance per mile $0.64
Avg Cost of gallon of gas $3+
Avg miles per gallon 24mpg
20 mile trip will cost you on average around $15. They expect you to do this for $5-7.
You will also eat the cost if anything goes wrong and the order is canceled. EVERY TIME. They lose NOTHING.
This business model is worse than slavery for the people they only give these orders to. They make you pay to perform their services.
Is this happening to anybody else? Can anybody explain it?
Check the image captions for explanation
I'm getting these "Debit" charges in my earnings statement for random amounts. It's happened at least 4 times in the past. I don't have them all screenshotted here. Since it's labeled "Debit" I naturally checked my debit card statement to see if it was there. It was not. But, my earnings were now in the negative for that small amount. Making it so my next delivery would be shorted by that small amount. The amount deposited onto my debit card corresponded with the earnings statement. It's just this "Debit" transaction that is a mystery. Why am I being put into the negative? Anybody else ever been in the negative?
I've informed them, but get no response.
I'm wondering what this is... is it happening to anybody else? Post screen shots if you can
here you see I started the day at $-.30, and where I was at with my orders
