This subreddit is for the older skaters (anyone above 30). If you are a new old skater you are in the right place as well.
You can post your videos, give and receive tips on tricks you're having difficulty with, your new board setup, what you think would be good for a new skater to get and anything else you find relevant. Skaters of all skill levels are welcome.
There is no age restriction as long as you are not posting your skating footage (See rules below before posting).

There is no age restriction as long as you are not posting your skating footage (videos or photos).
Your post will be removed if it violates this rule.
This is implemented by design to allow the younger skaters to interact with the older skaters but not make the subreddit pointless.
If you are less than [30YO] and want to post your skating footage please use communities which are more appropriate (ex: r/skateboarding).
TITLE RULES:
Your post should contain the following tag at the end [ageYO], where age is your current age in numbers.
For example, I am 38 years old. Therefore, all my post titles this birthday year will be followed by the following:
[38YO]
Common issues:
. You are missing your age tag.
. You forgot to include YO in your age tag after age number.
. You did not enclose tag in square brackets [].
. You did not place the tag at the end of the title. (it should be the last thing, no periods after it).
Note: There is no age restriction as long as you are not posting your skating footage. If it doesn't make sense to specify an age just put [0YO].

we still pushin out here. having fun with it.
I've used long boards to get around but am wanting to try learning some tricks on a short board. I'm reasonably fit/strong because I wrestle but I am also pretty fat and heavy. I see most of the older skaters on here appear to be lighter people, are there any 100kg (220 pound) + skaters in here and do you have any tips for me?
What would you call this trick? Frontside hip transfer?
Same shit, different Sunday.
In the mean time, if anyone else has set this shape up or something similar, what are you rolling with? Looking for something versatile enough for cruising, flipping and some curb action. I like stiffer trucks and softer wheels. Is it r to base truck size on the narrow rear?
LIL (BIG) THROWBACK CLIPPY SINCE THE EGGTIMER WENT BACK AN HOUR OR WHATEVER.
All these new parks popping up around, and the biggest joy is still having friends to skate with… especially the same ones as 20 years ago 🤙🙌
I came down with some flu, so it may be over the top, I was just excited about the trick and had fun with the edit.
I'm off to Japan for a month and I wanted to know if you guys knew about those... I'd like to check how's the skateboard life is going there. I know about the skateparks such as Spotaka ; not that hard to google them. I'm talking more about street spots.
Peace !
Small lie: I landed two small 1/2cabs and then went for the fakie big spin. That was prob my 4th or 5th make. Took about 25 tries and then put down a few and a few more baker makers. Was so stoked!
Whats your favorite flatground trick?
If you live near the area and haven’t gone - GO. Today was my first time and it was amazing. They’ve got a pump track, a concrete park (with a weird flow tbh) and this amazing DIY park with every rail you could imagine. This is a photo from the concrete park. Gorgeous views.
Had a couple falls amongst the 100 or so attempts leading up to the above. I had a few other good ones but like this landing best. No tic tacs. Feet on the bolts.
The hardest part for me was keeping my damn front foot off the ground.
I'm regular stance, so I guess this would be switch as well. It just felt more comfortable to me this way. Is that uncommon?
Finally got the fs slappy (I guess?) on lock although it feels more like a no pop ollie to crooked to 50-50 😭 much more so then a bs slappy. Kind of like doing an ollie into fs disaster but not bs.
Feels more like a tictac than a slam / powerslide lol. Wdyt?
