Hello friends of obscure guitars, and the effects and

amps that love them that are also not common.

We're all about vintage and cutting-edge obscure guitar stuff, is that so bad? We just don't want to see the same student model guitar everyday.

-Dear Friends From around the world-

/r/bluesguitarist - This is the go-to spot to hone in your vibrato

/r/metalguitar/ Exactly like bluesguitarist with distortion.

/r/luthier - These people are the craftiest folks on reddit. A lot of talent here.

r/7String - They have a string for each day of the week, which is spent partying recklessly.

/r/bass - Bunch of slapping going on.

/r/offset - This is where those funky Fenders go, and other rad stuff.

/r/ToobAmps - These people are the tube wizards, making amps out of whatever is in the desk drawer.

/r/Guitars - They have guitars over here. Those are cool aren't they?

/r/diypedals/ - Let the solder dry without blowing on it, or you're in for some cold solder points.

Is this guitar worth anything

Hello again I know I've already posted about this guitar before but it's giving me loads of problems and I just want to know if it's worth anything. If it's not worth anything I'll probably just paint it or something but before I do it i just want to know if it's rare or not

Greco Shrike

Bought this in Japan 1968. A friend of my father was an exporter and it was his sales sample.

Teisco Del Ray E-110

I started a channel to highlight the weird, random instruments I've found at Goodwill in 60 seconds. Thought y'all might appreciate this vid on my E-110 (Teisco's "tulip guitar"). Love this thing, but the bridge inflicts serious pain every time I use it.

Fake Rick ID Help

Can anyone tell me more about my Japanese Rickenbacker 330 copy? I saw something in an old Ibanez catalog that had the same shape, but I know several nameplates were used in a lot of those factories. Only markings are an MIJ stamp on the backplate.

Southeast Asian Butterfly Electric

Came across this amazing guitar on a private Facebook Marketplace 2nd hand guitar group last week. For whatever reason I am just obsessed with getting this guitar, but the seller is not being cooperative. Is anyone able to provide any details on the brand or company so I can look for another one elsewhere? The brand on the headstock is Limit Musical.

Only being sold for 2500NTD so I imagine it's some sort of cheap kid's starter brand or some other cheap knock off! Please let me know if you know anything! Thanks.

Conrad Bison 1245 - 2 pickup version

Found this in a deceased relative's house. He didn't play, to my knowledge, but he was definitely a bit of a hoarder and this may have been a random thrift store purchase.

Mostly had to gut it except for the pickups which seem intact. Looking forward to reviving this.

Univox UC3- wwyd?

Univox UC3

Had this for a few years now. The previous owner said that one of the original pickups had failed so they were replaced with SD pickups - I believe they are vintage rails. The pickup selector is three way and the additional switch isn't wired. No tremolo arm.

  1. Anyone know where I could get a replacement tremolo arm. I'm in the UK, but realise I may have to import parts.

  2. I'm thinking of changing out the pickups and restoring the aux switch. I've looked for original UC pickups but no luck so far. I have some Jaguar pickups, including a RWRP pickup. I was thinking about dropping these in, wiring in series and putting rwrp pickup in the middle position, wired on the second switch, so I could have any combination. Alternatively I could look at other pickups, like mojo uk's Kleenex pickup or lipstick pickups.

What would you do? Looking for ideas and inspiration
