Just wondering what sort of claps are people using or would recommend? π€
Im new to Classic mini world. I know this is a JDM but trying to narrow down spi vs mpi.
Having a rear turn single and stop light issue with on the rear right side. Oddly the running light works. Replace the bulb and still no dice. What next? Check the grounds?
Our V2 Bulkhead blanking kits are available. These greatly reduce the amount of engine noise and fumes which come through into the cabin. Feel free to ask any questions. Prices are in NZD not USD. Cheers!

Hi guys,
My girlfriend has a 1981 mini 1000. Drove from London out north east absolutely fine. Came back into London this evening and a squealing noise started to occur when accelerating and pulling away from lights.
The sound is akin to rubber on tarmac, it happened in low gears when the revving was at its highest. I have read it could be the alternator. We pulled in and turned the engine off. Turned it back on and revved it when in a stationary position. The noise was hardly heard. Side note - did see black smoke when high revving in a standstill position / parked up.
(Sorry about my legs).
I want to replace the interior panels/dashboard/carpet on my 1968 Mini. Does anyone have a recommendation on where I could find them?
Just would like the know if anyone has installed an AMR500 on 1275cc Mini. Is it worth it? How many pounds of boost can I expect from the supercharger?
I have just replaced the head gasket to a BK450. What are the next steps needed to run a reliable setup?
Thank you
Got this old engine running after building it from a pile of bits. Itβs going into my 1975 Morris. Just wanting to hear thoughts
Hoping to buy my dad a mini next year. Up to Β£7.5k must be in the UK or Ireland. Would love something with a bit of kick. 1275cc minimum, maybe a turbo. What should I be looking out for? Something thatβs ready to go preferably, maybe some minor restoration work. The range of years and models can be overwhelming. Hoping to get something that can narrow the search. Cheers
I have an Spi and the previous owner added some βperformanceβ from minimania which Iβve slowly been removing.
It has a straight center exit exhaust which is loud in terms of cabin noise so as part of my plan to make the car internally quieter, Iβm thinking of replacing the exhaust.
Diesel anyone have recommendations for a quiet exhaust that isnβt a total drag on the system?
Itβs an auto so I need every bit of power I can get.
I bought my 1992 Rover 1.3 Mini with a lovely twin pipe exhaust but because of the brackets holding the sections together it sits lower and catches on speed bumps which isnβt ideal. Does anyone recommendation any aftermarket exhausts that sound lovely but sit a bit higher (possibly still twin pipe)?
Shoot me a message if you do, Iβm in the USA.

Forgot about this one! A track day back in 2020.
Love how the covid masks make it look weβve just pulled off a heist, and are trying to lose the cops in the unmarked McLaren.
So basically yesterday I was driving my 1991 998 rover mini city down the motorway at about 55-60mph when suddenly the engine decided to cut off without any warning, luckily there was a turning to a quiet backroad however it refused to re start. It cranks fine but just wonβt catch a spark. When this happened there was no noise or smoke or anything, it felt like a stall but no ignition lights came on the dash which makes me think it may be a fuel issue or something as I stupidly filled (possibly overfilled) the tank to the brim. Iβm thinking that maybe this has created some sort of vacuum and pushed too much fuel into the carb causing it to flood, hence it not restarting. It had a 1500 quid full check over and a lot of work done a month of so ago and has been running perfectly up till now but Iβm slightly worried it could be a more serious issue. Has anyone had any similar experience or has any ideas what could have caused this?
Thanks very much.
Like at what point should I go back and re do it? My right rear wheel is currently sitting 1/8β higher than the left rear wheel. Is that acceptable?
Fitted spotlights with their own switch, relay, earth and 12V feed off the starter. Since wiring it in those things have stopped working, Iβve changed the fuse and tested the new fuse with a multimeter so I know itβs not that and I removed the spotlight wire from the starter incase that was interfering. Any reason this might happen or any thing else to test?
Bought a new fan belt and its slightly wider and got a flat bottom rather than v-shaped despite it saying it should fit my car. Whatβs the correct fan belt for a 1992 1275cc carb Mini?
