Is there good BBQ in Longmont? I've had GA Boys which is OK, and whatever it is at Parkway food hall.
Looking for larger pieces of cardboard in decent condition (sturdy, minimal creases) for a home project with my kids. Big appliance boxes, etc, anything like that where I can get pieces at least 36” X 36” or bigger. If you have any you haven’t hauled to recycle yet, I can pick up this afternoon.
The Elks are having their Elktonerfest today. Open to the public.
My email notification of what’s being delivered that day arrives in my inbox early morning. Friday had a picture of my ballot. Didn’t receive it yesterday or today. Has anyone received their ballots?
Hey friends,
Any interest in an online game night? Looking for folks to do some casual social activity from the comfort of home (and maybe eventually an in-person game night if we feel so called to it). Proposed games include Pummel Party, Jackbox, Gartic Phone, Mario Kart, Mario Party, and anything else you could think of that's generally accessible to people who are not typical gamers. We could use Discord or another platform for voice chat (although hopping on voice chat would not be required if you'd prefer to just play).
Let me know if that's something you'd be into.
ETA: It seems like a lot of people are interested based on the upvotes, but only two people have commented and no one has DMed me. Please do comment or DM if you are interested!
Anybody near see the yellow helicopter by Ken Pratt and 3rd? It’s low, circling, hovering. Didn’t get a good look at markings and was just curious what it was if anyone knows.
Looking for someone to help cleaning up a backyard. This includes trash, weeds, sticks and dog waste. Maybe 1500sq for but only half of it truly needs cleaned up. More looking for someone who needs money rather than a company. I would supply everything needed. Just need it all bagged up, not taken anywhere.
Thanks!!
Looking for recommendations for an either that I can do with my teen that won’t break the bank. Trying to find something physical she can get into. Thanks!
My wife (therapist) is looking for cheap office space in Longmont ~$300-400/month. Anyone have suggestions on where to look?

My bestie who lives out of state was bragging about the delicious quiche he got for his birthday and sending pictures so now of course I have a pretty serious craving. Where's the best place for quiche in Longmont?
hi friends, I am working on a large art project and looking for newspaper, cardboard, and pool noodles (I actually only need like 2-3 pool noodles, but they are really hard to find this time of year so I'm throwing it into this post).
if you are interested in donating any of these materials to me (I'll even pay for the pool noodles), please send me a DM! I can pick up wherever in-town.
I couldn't figure out how to login to nextdoor so hope reddit is okay with this type of post.
After dealing with (mostly) friendly people all day, walking past a creek to the grocery store and back, and opening the windows to let the outside in, I thought to myself "This day couldn't get any better."
And then I looked West.
Does anyone have any information in the bicyclist crash over on Lashley St and 9nth ?
hey there:) I just recently moved to Longmont 2 months ago. i was born here but have not lived here for almost 12 years. I have zero friends and I do not get out at all. I need activities for others around my age to get out and socialize and maybe find a new hobby or two. I work part time and have lots of doctors apts but i love sports, reading, anything to do with nature, photography, and music. any and all ideas will be very appreciated cause i need to socialize with people around my age before i turn into a complete hermit.
How is the gym compared to other ones in the area? Just looking at some of the videos it seems like the bouldering might be a bit soft compared to some of the other ones in the state?

After reading the above post, I thought they were talking about the one on Mountain View and Francis.
My lawd is it Wednesday already???
Happy Wednesday my longmonster crew!
We're halfway through the week, getting closer to our favorite Friday virtual group talk therapy.
There's so much going on in our world, I'm filled with great hope and great anxiety at the same time.
This sub is all about community, so let's spread some joy or commiserate. No judgments! I only humbly ask for radical authenticity.
How's your week 39 2024 doing
Looking for a place to park a tiny house. 28 feet, fully self contained and off grid. Only need access to a water hose and an appropriate place for grey water runoff/dump. Would prefer a private backyard or land rental. Anyone know anyone or have any leads in the Longmont-ish area?
Who has this on their menu? Must be breaded and deep-fried, of course!
Looking for local cleaners that can come in consistently and clean a few rooms. It's pretty exhausting cleaning the house repeatedly, so would love for someone to be able to come on a scheduled basis.
Girl Friday was the recommendations in the threads on the Wiki but seems to have closed, so now I'm looking for a service that others in Longmont consistently use still today!
Thanks much for any input!
It says on google that it is opening on Oct/9
Hey y'all. I know that this is short notice Sometimes in this subReddit we quickly organize protests and other actions. Is anyone else interested in gathering together later today to protest on behalf of what's going on with Marsellus Williams in Missouri? As I write this, he is scheduled to be executed in six hours and 35 minutes.
Does anyone want to meet up at the 6th Ave., Plaza off of Main Street? I can't get there until around 4:30 because I have to pick up my kids from school.
They say it takes a village to raise a child, and I’d like to take a moment to appreciate ours. Just this past week, I’ve had to contact the non-emergency police three times for... various reasons. In each instance, these situations involved children seeking a safe haven at a stranger's home. Thankfully, all of them ended up back in their parents' arms, safe and sound, thanks to the kindness of our neighbors and the efforts of the Longmont PD.
On a lighter note, this month I've attended events like the Art Walk on Main, Oktoberfest at Collyer, and Rhythm at Roosevelt. I was overwhelmed by the sense of community at each of these events. I saw little Longmonsters proudly selling their homemade crafts, dads tossing their toddlers in the air as they giggled uncontrollably, and moms dancing with their kids, twirling around in circles like that scene from Titanic. Everywhere I looked, people were just having a good time, making beautiful childhood memories. Well done, parents and our amazing village!
Despite some potentially troubling incidents, I feel safe in Longmont because I trust my neighbors to do good and look out for each other. The kids here have given me hope for the future of our town. They’re intelligent, kind, and resilient—a true reflection of the love and care they receive at home. So here's a shout-out to the Longmont community—I’m proud to call you my neighbors!
