Dentist recommendation

Chateaux Dental, which I do like, is going out of network and wants $3000 to replace my bridge. This seems a little expensive to me, does anyone have any recommendations near by that might not charge so much? Thanks!

Calling all Denver area Amazon workers; join Amazonians United today

There is a national movement afoot to unionize Amazon and fight for higher wages and better benefits for its millions of workers. And that includes the hundreds of thousands who drive for Amazon’s puppet DSP companies.

The Denver chapter has just been founded by some of your coworkers. The short term goal is to bring together a community of workers who believe a better Amazon is not only possible, but necessary. The second largest employer in the richest country on the planet should be the bedrock of a thriving middle class; not a monopoly forcing millions into a tenuous life of unstable gig work.

If you are interested in joining up, or just curious what this movement is all about, hit my DMs or use the links in the profile to get signed up. Together we win.

Has anyone ever gone to court for a speeding ticket here?

Hi guys! As the title says, I’m wondering if anyone here has ever tried to go to court over a ticket in Broomfield county and how it went.

I was going down the hill on 128 into Broomfield and was caught speeding at the bottom (63 in a 40). I have never gotten pulled over before so I’m just not sure how all of this works. I got a ticket for $218 and 6 points. I can pay it early and get 4 points or go to court and let it play out there. Initially I wanted to just pay early but I have been warned that it will substantially increase my car insurance for a goodly amount of time and that it might be best to go to court and ‘fight’ it.

I was speeding so I would not contest the ticket but as I’ve been driving for over a decade and have never gotten pulled over or anything I’ve been told I might be able to get the points reduced which would possibly help my insurance premiums from skyrocketing. Have any of you ever had something like this happen? What did you do? Do you wish you did anything differently?

Thank you for your time!

MOVING TO CO FOR CHEAPER FLIGHT SCHOOL (RMFS)

Hey all im sorry if anything is improper as this is my first time posting but i am planning on moving to Broomfield,CO early next year once my lease is up on my apartment, planning to do this to attend RMFS( Rocky Mountain Flight School) where they have planes wet for 90 an hour and instructors for 40-45 an hour. This will save me almost half the cost of flight school each day.Flight schools in my area are roughly 175 for a plane wet and 70/h for an instructor. I know that cost of living over there is considerably higher than where i am (Las Vegas, NV) but i would of course still be saving a whole bunch of money attending RMFS compared to my options here right? Has anybody done anything like this and has it been worth it? 19M trying my best to not get screwed while looking for the best prices. Have never had much but im firm on getting my ATP.

what's up in The Field

The local authorities are blocking the sidewalk and it appears something is covered with a sheet? Anyone know what's going on in the open space by the Brunner farmhouse?

Thank you! This isn't going to pay our bills or us, it is going straight to children's bicycle safety. Now we just need $900 more. Email carson.blume@ridebroomfield.com or https://www.ridebroomfield.com/getinvolved if you want to help.

Options for Sawdust/Woodshaving Disposal in Broomfield

I'm starting to build up a collection of bags of sawdust/woodshavings and was curious if anyone knew good options for disposing/recycling this locally. I'm with waste connections and they said they did not offer any disposal for it (not compost, recycling, nor yard waste).

I'm fine driving and dropping these off somewhere as I need to, but from what I saw Broomfield recycling center did not have any options either.

Do I need to go to a landfill or something?

Place to watch football?

What's a good place to watch football? Most places I gone to, has the game on but music blasted. Would love to hear the sounds of the game.

Greeting cards, etc

I’m looking for a place that has legit greeting cards that 30 year olds give 30 year olds. Small batch candles. Gifts that people want. Not hallmark or mass produced. I’ve been on the hunt for weeks and all I can find are shops with stuffed animals and Colorado tshirts.

I’ll overlook some stuffed animals for some legit cards. Cards that cuss, are hand drawn. You get it! Thank you!

Uptown Ave Construction Status?

Uptown Ave to W 112th Ave is just downright unsafe. Pedestrian use is way too active to lack a proper sidewalk/bike lane. The real kicker are the students of the charter school off the road who also are walking to and from school. I’ve even seen the cross country team running on the side of the road. Way overdue for proper access.

Anyways, I see these plans on the Broomfield website:

https://www.broomfield.org/3573/112th-and-Uptown-Avenue

It shows Fall 2024 for the “design” to be completed? Which is strange considering they already have a pdf of the plan? Am I interpreting it correctly that we’re probably still a ways out from actual construction? Anybody else know the status?

Moving! Help

Hey all! My husband and I are colorado born and raised, BUT we have alwayssssss lived and worked on the eastern plains. My husband just took a new job in Boulder, and we are debating which town/subdivision might be best for us! I definitely don't think we'll be able to afford to live in the town of Boulder itself, so we've been looking at the little towns surrounding it. Here is what are our big considerations. We have 3 young children, so we want to be in an area where they can attend a genuinely amazing school since we will be coming from a small town with a lot of 1 on 1 time with teachers, so it will be a huge change for them. So we're looking for some of the highest rated schools in the surrounding areas. Safety and crime rates. Again, since we have young girls, we want to be somewhere relatively safe (i know in our world that's funny Imao) Since my husband will be working in Boulder, we also want to stay within a 30 minute drive give or take. My step daughter also lives with her mom during the week in Lakewood (which is a little too far from Boulder for us to probably live there) so we're hopefully wanting something in that direction ish so we can be between his job and his daughter if possible. Some of the options we were looking into were Louisville, superior, broomfield, Westminster, and Arvada. MAYBE northglenn or Thornton if there's nothing closer or the benefits of being there are just that much better. Also open to any other areas you'd suggest! What would you guys suggest! Where are the best schools? Safest areas? Best communities? Nearby Boulder but still somewhat close to Lakewood? Affordable? Still fun things to do?

Broomfield 101: Transportation Forum

Lots of good information in this hour.

"Starting with the Broomfield 2016 Transportation Plan, the Broomfield Council adopted a new vision for transportation. Moving beyond just moving cars, they focused on moving people. The work that Broomfield undertakes daily is to support the movement of people using all modes of transportation, irrespective of age, ability, or income. The vision acknowledges that not everyone may have the ability to drive and aims to support and expand access to multimodal options to reduce dependence on single-occupant vehicles."

Psych recs for adhd?

Hi y’all, does anyone have recommendations (either for or against) psychiatry practices in the area for adult adhd? I’ve seen some posts in the Denver and Boulder subreddits but they’re a little outdated, so hoping to get some more recent insights if possible. Thanks!
