Hi everyone! I completed my 12th with Biology (without Math) but pursued a Bachelor of Science degree with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Now that I’m graduating,(qualifications) I’m concerned about whether not having Math in 12th might affect my eligibility for government jobs. Will this be an issue, or does having Math in my degree make up for it?
That's why I didn't get college for BCA Myquals-10th 85% 12thcom- 83%(English 56) Pls guide me
Qualifications:
Education: 2023 graduate in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) from a Tier-1 college with a CGPA of 5.7.
Context: CGPA affected by health issues in the third year. Could never recover the CGPA drop.
Citizenship: US Citizen
Work Experience: 1 year at a startup, with significant contributions to related projects.
Research Experience:
Published two research papers with a professor at my college.
Strong research background with potential for high-quality LORs from both my professor and my manager.
Goals: Pursuing an embedded systems role in a program like Electronics and Computer Engineering.
GRE: Not yet taken; seeking advice on whether it's worth preparing for and writing at this stage.
Questions:
Given my profile, is it realistic to aim for a decent graduate program?
Would preparing for and taking the GRE even be worth it at this point?
Thanks

I have posted in Indians study abroad subreddit but did not receive any response yet.
I’m a recent BTech graduate (2024) in CSE-AI and ML from tier 3 college affiliated to JNTUH where I finished with a first class and a CGPA of 7.14. Since graduating, I’ve been lost on what to do and have been thinking about studying further for a while now, but I’m honestly a bit lost and could really use some advice from people who’ve been in similar situations.
To give a bit more context, I have a few key accomplishments that I hope might strengthen my profile. I’ve published three research papers, participated in and won a few hackathons (with some finalist positions as well), and completed two internships—one at IIIT H as a research Intern (NLP) and another at a startup as an AI Intern. I’ve also taken on leadership roles in college, organizing events and leading various committees.I am also a GCSP Graduate.
Initially, I researched top universities in the U.S., but high fees and concerns about the job situation for Indians abroad have made me reconsider. I’m now thinking about options in Germany, such as the Technical University of Munich (TUM). However, I’m unsure if my CGPA is competitive enough, especially since I know many universities have high entry standards.
I’m interested in pursuing a master’s in data science, ML, or AI. On the other hand, I’m also considering if a management course might offer a good balance of career options and stability. Does anyone have experience balancing these paths, or could offer insights into the best choice given my interests and background?
I have not given any exams yet such as GRE/IELTS.
Any guidance or personal experiences you could share would be hugely appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Short and simple: Can I please get some suggestions on any scholarships for general male post graduate student? Keep reading for the long version.
I am a first year masters student in semiconductor technology course from CeNSE department at IISc Bangalore. My background qualifications are BTech in ECE from IIIT Trichy - gold medalist.
Due to my mode of entry (CFTI), I don't get the stipend that people coming from GATE get. Initially I tried for part time internships, but the academic schedules in IISc are so hectic and I can't manage even an hour of extra work everyday. I am searching for scholarships that just cover my monthly hostel and food costs, nothing much.
For a general male student, what are the options that are available? Family income is not much either, father left his job recently and looking at other business options. But I don't think I would be covered under the economic ones as well. Unfortunately, I am not eligible to apply for Reliance foundation scholarship as well. I tried NSP and there are almost nothing that I am eligible in.
Are there any such scholarships/fellowships available that are based only on merit? What other alternatives do I have? Talking to my peers has not resulted in any meaningful solutions, they all get the stipend so don't care about my problems. Can I get some advice?

I am from a strict college that DID NOT promote student interests but rather score good points with NAAC and placements. I secured a remote job with decent pay with what I learnt from 11th and 12th CS Group. Not that I didn't learn anything from my UG but rather less than I expected. I still have interest in CS and able to grow within my job. But rather than sitting at home in remote I thought of shifting to other interests for a while as I feel severely burnt out due to no break stress from college for placements. This led me to decide to do Masters in History/Philosphy or Liberal Arts. Is it a dumb decision?
I feel like this is the time I can spend freely grow my knowledge in interests without fear of career. Not that these are easy degrees but I just want to learn something different for a while when I can.
(PS: How's University of Madras? Any info would be helpful if I'm not making a dumb decision)
Thank You.
So rn I'm in semester 1 doin ba economics. My college doesn't have any placement or internship opportunities. Whatever I gotta do I need to do on my own. I'm thinking skillup myself though I'm unsure what to do to make my resume better.
I'm thinking to do online video editing course from internshala and look for internship opportunities then. Also I'm thinking to prepare for cat alongside. What advice would u give to make my resume better and worth it for a placement. My qualiaications right now aren't really much. What qualifications do u think would help me .
Need Advice on Career Change
Hi everyone. I currently work for one of India’s biggest public sector lenders at a Middle Management level, due for promotion to Senior Management in 2025. I have experience as a banking official for 10 years now, with 6 years in Trade Finance Operations at Branch Level. I am 34 years old with a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, JAIIB, CAIIB & IIBF Certification for Trade Finance Operations. My current CTC is around Rs 32 LPA. Currently I head a branch with a total business of approx Rs 310 crores.
I am considering a career change at this stage mainly because of the toxic work culture and very bad work life balance. The work culture is extremely lopsided with little or no feedback taken from employees. No thought is put into addressing actual problems and little to zero effort is made for honest feedback and assessment of problems faced by employees or customers.
I currently spend about 12 hours a day at work and often have nothing to show for it and return home most days extremely depressed. I have started realising that my work environment has started affecting my mental health and all other aspects of my personal life.
I have a daughter who is just turning 2 and I would like to spend a little more time with family and also to ensure that I am able to have some more work life balance.
Can someone suggest any alternate career paths that have a little more flexibility but that do not require a massive change to my lifestyle?
Any courses / certifications that may help me accelerate my journey to those fields?
Advanced disclaimer : I am open to all questions and suggestions but may not be readily available to immediate replies. So please bear with me and post your best advice. Thanks in advance everyone!!
My qualifications is as mentioned above in para 1 .
Hi all, I’m a recent graduate prepping for the UGC NET in English Literature. If I don’t clear it this time, will the gap affect my career?
Seeking strategy/guidance to study -
Any pro tips or exam writing strategies that was helpful will be appreciated.
My qualifications: BA, MA (English Lit)
myquals write now pursuing btech cse in tier 3 college first year student I am losing interest in engineering and from the start I was more inclined towards commerce so should I switch from btech cse to bba? If so what are my future prospects after bba ?
I'm unsure about my career path, given my qualifications (MSc in Bioinformatics). Currently, I'm working as a RA at govt lab for the time being. I don't have an interest in pursuing a PhD. What are some alternative options that could offer a decent salary? I'm thinking maybe MBA or prepare for govt jobs to transition my career.
Writing this while I am doing a baseless assignment on social well being. I hate how I have to hand write 15 pages of the most philosophical things. I recently started BA psychology in DU and it was a backup to my NEET. I had already taken a drop and had to go to college for something and i fear i chose the wrong degree.
I can't take another drop. I cannot drop out of college. I can't study for neet either because I do not have time anymore. On top of that I cannot communicate this with my family. I am this close to offing myself from a building l ol. Any advice would be nice about change or career or a path from here. For context I really like science but did not have maths in myquals 12th so I have limited options.
I got into a college society to distract myself from this disaster and what they're doing is just adding ghee in the flame by giving me posters to design.
Lately I am exhausted with the work given to me by the organisation and I want to explore further in studies I was thinking about how to switch to academics from past 2 years, as the job is paying good I did nota have the motivation earlier, but now I have made my mind and selected one stream, for doing phd in a management courses offered by iims, I can prepare for gmat for this. I am not in a mood to marry, I do not have family responsibilities that much, and I have a fine chunk of money for some emergency future needs of family or me. My question is: am I on correct track to think this way or m late now.I was searching some courses for quite sometime and this seems ok. my_qualifications B.tech Civil, graduated in 2017
I therefore enrolled in a five-year architecture study in 2018(under SPPU); it was scheduled to conclude in May 2023 following thesis submission. Several unforeseen circumstances prevented me from submitting it. Similarly, it is currently November 2024 and I didn't submit it in October 2023 or May 2024. If we extend a five-year course to more than seven years, we do not receive a license in architecture. My seven years will come to an end in May 2025. Will November 2024 be my final effort to pass it, or will I get another chance?

I want to pursue phd in microbial ecology (mostly how they interact with each other and how it effect the pollutants and vice versa) and bioremediation. What is the chance of getting a good paying job after completing it in india? myquals
What are the most prestigious colleges in India for bachelors in Business except DU and IIMs. Qualifications - 10th 91% (best of 4 ICSE) Please help me out, I am in 11th right now. Thankyou. I have good extracurriculars and communication skills if Indian college look for that.
myquals - currently in 12th pcmb I wanted to do bsc msc chemistry then work in private sector as a QC / QA chemist or as a research and development chemist. In pharma, agrochemical, cement, polymer, paint industries
So please someone tell me insides whether industries hire msc chemistry candidate or not ❓
So with a little bit about me, I'm 21 years old right and my bachelors was completed in aug this year.
My qualifications: I picked commerce after 10th, as a way to escape med and non med (basically, science and maths) and my 12th was during start of covid, no exams and b.s. and now comes the decision to pick stream for college, I picked b.com (without thinking much about any prior research).
The real things is I'm interested in computers aka programming. I started with python but then moved to javascript have coded some projects in from basic to mid tear but all for discord bots (discord.js, nodejs, mongodb, and so on), I also have knowledge of html and css (self learned from mimo app and some practical tinkering on my own).
I could have a gone for bca or btech or anything related to computers but I didn't thought much and opted b.com and when realisation hit, I was half way into completing it, so I went ahead even though it's not for me and barely was able to pass.
P.s. forgot to mention, during my last year, I landed a remote job for Customer Support Associate and have one year experience with that. Recently (1st aug was my last working day) left the job (but idk what to do anymore). Also my parents are very supportive but belonging from lower middle class family, I can't ask much from them. But I do have a good laptop for self learning (i5 11th gen and GTX 1650)
But now I'm confused on how to purse my career in it field. So far I have in mind to become a front end developer since I know the core, html-css-js but somewhere I feel I would be suitable for backend instead. Then there's the path of cyber security too.
Should I MCA or do cybersecurity certificates and all?
So any kind of advice will be appreciated
hey guys, need some serious advice.
qualifications: B.E in AI-DS (2025)
I have literally (sort of) wasted my college days. I mean I haven't done any DSA at all. I am a good software engineer, but my DSA totally sucks. And currently I am in my 7th sem. I'd really love if someone could guide me on how shall I proceed further.
A little about me:
- 8.42 cgpa
- tier 3 college. college placement cell is tier 10 i guess XD
- hsbc hackathon 2024 winner
- upcoming swe intern at HSBC with performance based ppo
- AIR 198 in national cyber olympiad
- great at machine learning (sadly, I found out in my 7th sem that recruiters want fresh "software engg" and not "ml devs", else I was extremely good in ML)
- wasted my first 3 years of college in doing startup. (not literally wasted, I made it to top 10% applicants at YCombinator, but hey, who am I kidding. I'm still not placed)
MAKE NO MISTAKE. I HAVE SOLVED ONLY 14 QUESTIONS ON LEETCODE. THAT'S IT. AND I AM UNABLE TO FOCUS ON SOLVING ANY MORE. WHENEVER I TURN TO MY LAPTOP, I START PLAYING GAMES, WATCH PRIME, OR JUST SLEEP. (commitment issues or stress maybe. I'm stress eating as well.)
My ambitious goals:
- get placed at Meta (i love their programming culture)
So, mighty reddit, I have always believed in you, and have come here for help with high hopes. (apparantly the world is playing dodgeball with me, and I'm being hit constantly)

Myquals: Mechanical Engineering from a tier 2 college in bangalore with 8.14 CGPA. Currently studying 3 year LLB.
I joined law recently after finishing my Engineering coz I felt like there's no research scope for pure science research in India. But my project guide from my engineering asked me if I wanted him to recommend me for research assistant for a professor at IISc. Now I thought it's a big opportunity to simply let go and agreed to attend and the professor asked me to come down for a chat at IISc (obviously interview), my project was based on materials and this prof is also working on materials but I don't know what kind of questions to expect from this interview.
Please help me out. I'm freaking out. I'm overthinking on everything like what if taking law is a mistake or what if accepting this interview is a mistake?
Please lemme know as this is urgent & important! Qualifications : Currently in the 3rd sem of UG
hi , im writing on my sisters behalf. also sorry for my terrible english. (writing myquals here so i can post this)
im doing bsc hons. computer science from shama prasad mukharjee college in delhi , currently in 2nd year.
as there is no other scope in this, i was thinking of giving iit jam and do masters in biotechnology to get in research, or masters on any other subject by giving iit jam and getting in a good college. but the problem is as far as i know, only students doing bsc in physics/chemistry/zoology/botany/mathematics and other equivalent are eligible for it. so i wanted to ask if i am eligible for giving iit jam and do msc biotech from iits/nits
tldr : can i give iit jam and do msc biotech from iit/nit after doing bsc hons computer science? am i eligible?
thank you
can someone pls help me find a good uni in IR which also offers scholarships based on SAT or smth myquals is i recently graduated from my a levels idk the results tho
Hey everyone! I graduated a few months ago and I’ve been preparing for UPSC. However, as anyone familiar with this path knows, it’s a long and uncertain journey. Given this, my family is concerned about my future and is encouraging me to pursue a backup career option that could provide some financial security. I’m looking for a 2-3 year course that has a stable job outlook and can help me earn good money. My qualifications- ba history honours (2024)
Myquals: currently in the twelfth grade in a Maharashtra State Board institution (arts without maths)
I know that I messed up really badly by switching to this board after the tenth grade because it's incredibly easy to score in CBSE. But I can't change it now, so I need to focus on how to make the best of my situation.
Are there any online resources or groups on telegram, etc. for state board students? I realised I have no idea how to write a proper state board paper, what criteria there are for the marks, how much to write, etc. The teachers are never responsive when we ask our doubts, so I really need some help figuring things out. I desperately need to score well this year and I'm panicking a little bit.
I am planning to take B.Ed from MDU (my qualifications- post grad maths) and i am just using it as a back up option... but MDU is asking for ABC ID so if i ever go to take mba in future will it expose me then ?
