Poco F6 Pro or iPhone 14 Pro Max

Hi guys, I hope I could get an answer from people who knows both the specs of these phones to avoid bias.

My Huawei P40 Pro broke and I'm planning to buy a new phone. Poco F6 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro max is my choice.

In my country, the price for a brand new Poco F6 Pro and iPhone 14 pro max(Used) has atleast around $120 difference (6000 php) and I can't decide.

To give you a glance of my usage, I rarely take pictures and I just use phone for soc med, mild gaming and casual use.

Poco F6 Pro -1 TB memory -16 GB Ram -5000 mAh battery -Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 iPhone 14 Pro Max(Used) -256 GB memory -6 GB ram -4323 mAh battery -Apple bionic 16

But to be honest, both specs could satisfy me but I just want to hear your suggestion and feedback first ♥️

Can the Samsung Galaxy A05s can play both .wav and .aif audio files?

I'm actually new to smartphones. Can the Samsung Galaxy A05s can play both .wav and .aif audio files?

The University of Illinois has sample .wav files here: https://www2.cs.uic.edu/~i101/SoundFiles/

McGill University has sample .aif files here: https://www.mmsp.ece.mcgill.ca/Documents/AudioFormats/AIFF/Samples.html

Just checking, does the Samsung allow you to create folders and even nested folders?

Should I get the Galaxy S23 FE (Exynos) or the Pixel 8a?

I'm desperate to upgrade my phone due to slower updates, and I narrowed my choices down to two phones, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, and the Google Pixel 8a. I'm a very light user of my phone, and when I say light, I mean it, I only use it for calls and texts, the odd bit of photography, navigation, banking, music, the weather, and to load my bus pass.

With all of this in mind, performance isn't really a concern, I think either phone would serve me well for my basic tasks. The only three things I care about in a phone are timely software and security updates, reliability, and a good camera setup.

I found the Samsung on eBay for £325, this is a lightly used unit, but I don't really mind, as long as it works. I'm tempted to get the Samsung due to that telephoto camera, I think it would come in handy. The Pixel is actually brand new, I found on GiffGaff (A mobile network here in the UK) for £360 with a £10 phone plan. I've heard great things about the Pixel camera experience (I used a Pixel 4a a few years back so I can vouch for them), and this is almost enough for me to go for that one.

The only thing that concerns me is the portrait mode of the two phones, they don't seem to be great, but I'll keep doing some research.

Which phone do you reckon would be the best buy for me? Would you recommend any alternatives? If somebody could please let me know in the comments, that would be splendid! :-)

Reasonable price for a good condition S22 Ultra?

So my buddy wants 250 euro for his S22 Ultra with small cracks. Other than that it's perfectly functional. Is it a good deal?

Want to scroll through old phone

Hi Reddit, I was doing some cleaning and found a phone I had years ago and wanted to see what was one it. It’s an LG Stylo 5 and It has fingerprints so I figured it would be an easy unlock but unfortunately it won’t work until I unlock it using the pattern. Now i know how this sounds but, is there anyway I can bypass this without resetting the phone as it kinda defeats the purpose. I’ve looked it up and there were some websites but I don’t feel comfortable downloading random links to my computer for obvious reasons. This isn’t a serious issue so I’m not pressed for it. Any advice helps. Thanks.

Can't decide

Hey everyone, I'd like to buy a refurbed smartphone with 128 or better 256GB storage and a good battery. I can't really decide if I stay witj Samsung or try an iPhone for my first time. The iPhone 13 I could get with 256GB for about 540€, the 14 with 128GB for 575€. And then there are the Galaxy S22 (450), S22+ (480) and S23 (580), all 256GB. Any preferences from your side based on the overall performance of these phones?

Which phone camera has good color accuracy? And takes square photos?

I currently have the s22 ultra. its great except some of the colors I take are oversaturated. Anything on the green/blue spectrum turns out green when its teal. I resell clothing full time and take lots of photos and my photos need to be color accurate. Im pretty tired of adjusting white balance (and then having a gross yellow background I have to remove).

Phone also must be able to take photos in square mode, natively in the stock camera app. This is non negotiable. I take 100+ photos a day and have no desire to crop them or have to retake pics because something was out of frame.

Looking for recommendations. Not picky on price but needs to be something available with mobile carriers in Canada.

Decent Side-Mount Fingerprint Phones

Due to issues with my Galaxy S Flip4, I have to get a new phone. I don’t want to deal with more incidental breaking, so flip/fold phones are a no-go. Since the s10 Fe, I’ve loved the side-mounted fingerprint sensor and the swipe gesture to pull down the notification center. Are there any viable phone options with the side-mount outside of flips? I’ve always had samsung but could consider going to another brand if I know it’s a really solid option (ideally at least FE level quality). Or should I just give up on them and look at flagships?

Is it normal for my Iphone 16 to have a slight noise coming from its back if i put my ear on it ?

This was also something i experienced with my previous Iphone 12 but i never heard someone calling it normal at the time but since it happened again i need to ask. Is it normal that when my new Iphone 16 is downloading or playing a game a noise can be heard from its back but only if i put my ear on the back (not audible enough to be heard normally) ? For my previous Iphone 12 it was an electrical sound that did buzzing sounds and in my Iphone 16 it sounds more like an old TV not having signal noise, like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mCmlobVDp3o, but much much more quite and kinda more soft sounding. Is this normal ? Does anyone else experience or experienced this ?

It's freaking real!

I made this on paint with dimensions 21000 × 21000. I tried making it even more bigger but my PC stuck for like 45 minutes, I didn't touch my PC for THAT LONG because I wanted to make a 32000 × 32000 image!

At the end my PC crashed and this is the max limit of image size I could make on this computer.

Old asf Processor (i3) 4GB RAM

From an objective perspective between White and Black phone, which color would keep my phone more cool ?

I initially thought of buying a white phone because duh white reflects light so it should keep it more cool under hot outside temperatures right ? But then again i will use it with a phone case so perhaps that doesn't come into play enough. But then i also learned black is supposedly radiating heat more ? Does that mean a black phone can take the heat out of the phone's inside and radiate it to the outside more easily and thus in turn keep the phone more cool or am i severely misunderstanding something ? I know the difference will be little to nothing regardless but which color phone would be more of use to keep the inside of the phone cooler and make it heat less ?

Pixel 7, Poco F6 or Redmi Note 13 Pro+

Which one do you think is the best?

Above all, I am looking for a phone with good value for money (the three are currently a little over €300).

I have a rather "classic" use of my phones.

Should i get Iphone 15 pro max or Iphone 16 plus ?

Now i know this question sounds stupid. Many people will just say ''of course pro max'' and they are probably right'' but it is the ''why'' part that i do not fully understand so people explain to me which phone and why ? To explain further perhaps it is because i never used a 120hz phone but i have no problem with 60hz and i have nothing to do with the camera performance. So at that point what makes 15 pro max better than 16 plus ?

What i look for in a phone is battery which 16 plus is seemingly either equal or slightly better (though perhaps 15 pro max can surpass it if used in 60 hz i am not sure), performance which A18 seems to be just slightly better than 17pro (please correct me if i am wrong) and mainly for me to be able to use the phone for years without much problem like it getting virus, significantly slowing down, breaking (i will use with a screen protector and case) and most importantly it having overheating issues. And speaking of overheating i have previously heard that 15 pro and pro max phones had overheating issues, my cousin also said his friend who had 15 pro also experienced it but now that it is gone with updates.

But if it this problem actually existed was it just a software issue or is the 15 pro phones perhaps not that good on thermals from the inside ? That makes me worry a little especially since the phone is made of titanium which also supposedly do not get rid of heat that easily. Was that the problem ? What i fear is the phone to overheat in the future again or for Apple to slow down its performance to make it not overheat which makes me a bit hesitant to go for 15 pro max.

What do you think ? Which phone should i get and please explain why ? Like what makes 15 pro max better if i were to not care about 120 hz or camera ? And most importantly which phone is better at not overheating during gaming ? Had Iphone 15 pro phones actually had heating issues and if they did are we sure if it was purely software or is something inside phone like thermals or it being titanium a reason and if it is can it overheat again in the future or can future updates cut its performance a bit to prevent the heat ?
