Should i Pick the Lenovo Loq 2024 or Acer Helios neo 16 2023. Is it really worth it to spend more on a 13500hx?
Lenovo Loq 2024 i5 13450hx Rtx 4050 8gb ram 1 tb ssd Price 55k php or 950 dollars
Acer Helios Neo 16 2023 I5 13500hx Rtx 4050 8gb ram 1 tb storage 60k Php or 1037 dollars
Hi all! Just wondering what your thoughts are on this deal I got.
So a little background, is that I'm in IT and don't have a windows laptop. I got a windows desktop in my man cave, and a macbook -- but no windows laptop of my own. All my windows laptops are work laptops. So this was my first windows laptop and considering that I'm an SCCM / Intune admin and use powershell scripting on a daily basis and it's part of my career, I thought I should have one as an expense. Even though, it's technically not providing any immediate value to me.
I went into Disc Replay and got an Alienware M17 R4 it was advertised as 11th gen CPU with 16 GB of RAM and a 3080 for $820.
I got it and it ended up being unfortunately a 10th gen Intel i7 10870H instead of an 11th but with 32GB of RAM, 1 TB NVME and a 500GB SSD. It's a 17" display that's FHD at 360HZ. It's kinda nice for gaming and just general productivity but the battery life super sucks on this thing. Its probably got an 1h 30 minutes on battery, maybe 2h if I completely dim the screen.
Do you think this was worth it for some occasional gaming and just to have a decent PC for coding and possibly gaming development for around $800?
I have an Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 i7 13700HX and 4050, how do I know which SSD is compatible with this system? I saw a WD_BLACK SN770 NVMe™ SSD. Is this compatible with my system?
Hello friends , I just know Vsync is somehow for fixing tearing and free sync is kinda the AMD version of Gsync , but I dont know exactly what they do , and Which one of them decreases ghosting?? Can someone explain these for me?
Both have 350 and 300 nits respectively. And is WQHD like OLED?
I am using legion pro 5i i7, 4060 and currently installing read dead 2. The exhaust fan is running high.
Please and thank you.
Morning guys. As the title says I am seriously considering getting a new Laptop. I currently own a Zephyrus G14 from 2021. Here are some of the requirements:
Use:
Based on all of this I am torn between a Thinkpad and the new Zephyrus G16. The Thinkpad cost way too much money compared to other brands. What other brands and models would you guys recommend?
I’m new to gaming pcs and was looking at getting myself a Legion GO just to play the games I have on steam, epic store, Gog etc along with playing Fortnite and Ghost of Tsushima which just got released
I thought to myself, since I won’t be using it on the toilet, buss etc I might look at a gaming laptop too as it’s still portable meaning I can move it around easy which suits me
I then found these deals and was wondering how it fairs -
(I’m located in Australia)
What is the best one and can any play Fortnite at 120fps or better?
Or if any Australian can point me in a better deal or option would be great
Sorry im a console gamer so im not great with pc gaming specs on what can do what
Thanks!
Best gaming laptop under 70k?
Hi everyone. My current laptop has broken so I’m in the market for a new one.
I'll use it mostly for graphical design works, mostly illustrator and photoshop, maybe premier sometimes. Also I probably won't change laptop for a long time, so I'd like something that is somewhat future proof as well.
These are the ones I have available to buy on my country at the moment:
ASUS ROG STRIX G16 (2023) $1.099 open box
Acer Predator Helios 16 (2023) $1.129 new
Dell G15 (2023) $1.149 new
Dell G16 (2023) $1.329 open box (slightly over budget)
Any help would be appreciated, thanks
just ordered it yesterday, This would be my first time daily driving a Laptop for Gaming. Did some research before buying, I was stuck between LOQ 15, TUF A15 (Ryzen 8000) And Acer Nitro (i7-12th) all choices were 4060 GPUs. I chose the LOQ 15 just because of Jarrod's Tech channel and I didnt really want spend that much on a Laptop since I know I would go back to PC gaming sooner or later.
Just asking for some tips, feedback or reviews on this laptop with this specs. (And yes ill buy a laptop cooler for it)
Can it run games like Elden Ring, Red Dead Redemption 2, Assassins Creed Valhalla, etc...?
After 10 years I'm finally upgrading from mye Acer Aspire F5-571. The thing is, I'm not sure what laptop I should get with a limited budget around $1K.
Right now I'm considering the Acer Nitro V15 2024 model. I found it on Amazon with the specs below:
Is this good? I'll use the game to learn programming and mostly to play videogames. I'd like to play games like Valorant, Elden Ring, Apex Legends with good graphics and fps. (preferrably max graphics but not really required) I'm a bit tired of having to play all games with the lowest possible specs lol.
Shopping for my daughter. What's the best bang for the buck gaming laptops for $1000 usd? She plays a lot of steam games and minecraft.
this is just for $1400 All other laptops with same specs are above $1800. Is there a drawback somewhere?
Hello. Help me choose a laptop for working and playing Valorant and CS2. Asus Taf A15 or Lenovo LOQ. Both with RTX2050, 144Hz and 16GB DDR5 in dual-channel mode. But the processors are different: i5-12450hx and Ryzen5 7535hs. what would be better for playing shooters (Valorant, cs2)?
P.S: same price
HELLO GAMERS! i have been for a very long time been trying to find a cheaper gaming laptop for my boyfriend who only really plays stardew, minecraft, COTL, and dragon age inq/2. i have been airing on the side of caution when it comes to chromebooks due to lack of steam support, although i know some of the ACER chromebooks do now! tried buying refurb older gene laptops and have had a lot of hassle and have had to get a handful sent back.
essentially just looking for a laptop in the $500 range brand new or second hand from a larger retailer such a best but? i know that is incredibly difficult, but any recommendations would be great OR if anyone who owns one of the acer gaming chromebooks could give insight on how ANY of their models function whilst gaming on steam THAT would be beautiful as i’ve been search forever and have been losing hope ):
thank you in advance!
Eraser.
Looking for recommendations for a new gaming laptop, hoping to keep it under $2000 but willing to stretch for the right value.
Budget: $2000-$2500 Country: Canada Screen: 17.3" Ram: 32gb Gaming.
Most demanding games will be star citizen and warzone.
Pls provide your reviews for HP Omen. Also share any good picks for a gaming laptop.
I have been out of the loop for a while. What are some good options that wont break the bank? I want to play stuff like baldurs gate 3 and eve online. Any help is appreciated. Also hoping to find a financing option.
Budget: $1000-$3000
Country: USA

Fan sounds: Quiet as feasibly possible
Mux Switch/Optimus/Advanced Optimus?: No preference (dunno what they are man this technology moving quick)
Build quality: 144hz+ screen refresh rate (more better), Good battery life, dont need a touchscreen+touchpad, and INFINITY RAM, SSD, and HDD space

help is very much appreciated thanks guys 🙏 🙏
I’m trying to find a good laptop that is just bare minimum, price 200-400 and can’t really tell if something is horrid or the greatest deal. I’m just trying to find something that can smoothly play manor lords and such. Looking for help from the elder gods
Just trying to decide between which two of these laptops may be a better deal in terms of gaming potential and price difference ($100 difference).
Laptop 1 - I'm leaning towards this one due to the 32GB of RAM as well. The .97 ending price with Costco is a closeout deal so it's marked down just like Laptop 2 below.
Laptop 2 - I find to be a strong competitor as well especially for being a 14th gen. Currently $200 off, and it includes the new Star Wars game with the Intel promo.
Overall looking for anything glaring as far as performance issues go. Just looking for something to do some gaming, mostly higher end latest AAA singleplayer/multiplayer games. Going to be bed ridden for the next couple of months after a big surgery coming up. Any help would be much appreciated.
I'd also like to add, I'm open to suggestions for any other laptops in this performance range if y'all have them. A large part of my decision for going with Costco is their initial 90 day return policy for whatever reason just in case I decide I don't like my purchase. But I am willing to check out other retailers as well. Price range: $1300 or below.
Hey I've just bought a hp omen 16 (i7 13th / 4070).
Now I need to explain I have bad OCD and one of my things is electronic perfection (basically I cannot stand a single fault or even quirk, makes it very difficult to use). To easily describe it, basically hypochondria for PC
I've already returned two laptops in two weeks, Acer nitro for bad performance and popping sounds coming from headphone.ports. and a dell g16 because the box was open and damaged on delivery (didn't even give the pc a chance)
Now my omen is making me paranoid af, firstly while it seems good it also seems to lag sometimes (struggles on right click, opening tabs, and the omen software takes ages, like I pressed the button 4 times and nothing happened, opened it on pc and it takes ages to load every time). The keyboard backlight will also just turn off for no reason, I have to go into the software just to get it back again. Few more things but not the main topic
Note: I've only had it 3 days and windows needs an update every day, this normal? As my pc before (on 10) never had this many
What makes me properly worried is this ever so slight cracking noise coming from the right side, it's almost inaudible but you can just hear it, I would assume the fans but when I turbo them I hear nothing (except the fans) either it's stopped or drowned out. I am struggling to use this now as I considering returning it but I don't want to. Is this a normal sound all omens have or is there a fault.
Also when playing csgo there was a high pitch sound from the left, louder than the cracking but not too loud. I know coil whine is a thing and normal but it still affects my view of the laptop, is there anything else it could possibly be
I appreciate your time
I'm thinking of buying it but I have my doubts
