I bought a msi prestige 14 ai Evo c1mg for 769 euro and it got delivered to me on Jan 6. The specs are core ultra 5, 16gb ram and 512gb SSD.
When I change the mode, it works but it does not display, I have to open the MSI center to see what mode I am using. I started not working few days ago.
Hello,
I just bought a second hand msi gt70 2qd dominator laptop with a fresh install of windows 11.
Everything works fine, but I can not get the touchpad to scroll.
As far as I know, I downloaded the latest synaptic drivers.
I checked the settings, but the scrolling function is greyed out and unable to be selected. Both pinch zoom and rotating are available.
Is there any way to fix this?
Thanks in advance!
I purchased my first MSI laptop a month ago, and it's working like a charm. Any opinions or suggestions?
My friend was gifted the GF65 Thin 9SEXR which has 8 gigs of DDR4-2666 installed. He wants to upgrade that for better gaming performance and we could not find any info on if this particular machine can handle 8+16 gigs of RAM or should he just buy another 8 gig stick to be safe. He would prefer not to go for a 16+16 for budget reasons.
Thanks for any help.
I recently purchased a Thin 15 B13UC laptop. According to the specification sheet given below:
https://www.msi.com/faq/faq-8788
I'd like to inquire why the maximum resolution achievable can vary when connecting a laptop with a Type-C output to an external monitor with different input interfaces (HDMI/DP/Type-C)?
Additionally, if a Type C to Type C cable is first connected to the docking station from my laptop, and then connecting to the DP input of an external monitor from the DP output of docking station, can this connection configuration be considered as Type C-DP in the diagram above? In the case of the Thin 15 B13UC, would this mean it could achieve a maximum output of 5120×2160@60Hz? (Assuming that the specifications of the cables, docking station, and external monitor used all support the above maximum resolution and refresh rate)
So next summer i will be moving out to study in the city. I already have a good gaming desktop that i will be bringing into my appartement but i still need a portable laptop for school. But i will be going back to my parent house on week-end. The gaming tower is a pain to move but i know i will still want to play. So what im thinking is to buy the MSI Cyborg 15 (i7-1265h RTX 4050) use it as a gaming pc on the week-end and to use it at school (im gonna be in cinema so im thinking i need something powerfull for video editing and things like that too). Do yall think its a good laptop for this purpose ? especially thats its at 1050$cad instead of 1500$cad rn?
And sorry for bad english
My gt 77hx 4090 running very strange. It uses full 175w of power but gpu clock is 300-700mhz on games and tests. While temps are 35-45 celsius. So mo overheating. What could cause this issue?
Frozen screen can't do nothing about it everything's frozen can't even turn it off please help. Mouse doesent plug in either?
What do you think about this laptop? I want to know how long it lasts with battery while gaming or not and is it quiet while gaming?
So i have a cyborg 15 a13v and when I play fortnite, mc bedrock, roblox, deep rock galactic and r6 I run really well but when I play mc java or a game like "one armed robber" or the cooking version my laptop has the worst input delay and a really hot cpu even tho I run lowest graphics I can. Why is that?
Hi! My daughter has a Modern 15 A11MU-654US. She said that the charger started to get really hot and started smoking. The charger end and the jack were melted. I desoldered the jack to replace, but the board was burnt. I purchased another mobo. While it’s not an exact replacement, it is the same form factor. In fact, the cpu is a slight upgrade.
I connected all of the components to the mobo, checking connections multiple times. When I plug in the charger (different one), the charging light illuminates; however, when I press the power button I get nothing. I tried all of the usual steps like EC reset and what not, but I’m having absolutely no luck. I have 30 day return on the mobo (tested I’m told). Trying to get it working before sending back. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
I just had my laptop cleaned and changed thermal paste that was the first time in 3 or 4 years Now i can hear this annoying noise Is it normal or not ?
I've recently upgraded my computer to 32GB Ram (previously it was 16GB Ram)
I went to a official MSI workplace to get it upgraded, as i don't trust myself.
However, I've found that the laptop has been working much worse compared to previously before the upgrade, and i'm not really use how to fix it.
It's pretty frustrating for me, as this is my first proper gaming laptop (i barely knew what desktops were previously), and i'm not really sure what to do.
One problem, is that when i open up 2 games at once (roblox for example, placing it on the lowest settings possible, 60 FPS, etc etc), the laptop goes up to 95 degrees+ despite being on max fan settings.
Another problem is when i open up a game (world of warships) and turn it to a high settings, the laptop does not see it as a game, and normally before the upgrade when the laptop would reach 90-100 degrees easily, it's sticking at 50-60+ degrees instead, making the game run super slow.
Is there any method to fix my laptop? Thank you for reading it, and if you need more info from me (ik im not the best at explaining stuff), please comment them down, and i will do my best to reply asap)
I'm looking at this Prestige 16 spec (B1VFG-019US), which says it has a 4070, but I thought the Prestige only had Arc? If so, it's a pretty amazing deal for the specs.
General question :
Is there a way to obtain the specs of a msi part (DC charging port) ? In order to buy it or a similar part.
Precise question :
I have a MSI GL62 6QF laptop whose power jack burned and I removed.
I would like to replace it... any insights ? Any track to get this computer on would be welcome.
I have also considered soldering a different model of charging port but I don't feel confident this is safe in terms of fire hazard (even though this will be integrated into my server)
I have a MSI GF63 12UC with RTX 3050 and i5-12450H, and i've noticed that while gaming and having cooler boost fan mode activated, my cpu only gets to about 2.4 GHz and 2.5 GHz, and my fps is extremely low, but when idling, it reaches 4.1 GHz. I've noticed also for some reason when I have the fans set to auto, my cpu and gpu also get properly utilized and I get up to 50% fps boost, but then my computer becomes quite hot. Also before I reinstalled Windows for different reasons, having fans on cooler boost did not have any impact on performance. How to make cpu get properly utilized?
I'm new to this sub-Reddit and MSI laptops as a whole. Recently decided to replay Crysis 1 and Black Mesa and GPU temp has been constantly hitting 82°C. Is that normal or something I should be concerned about?
Edit: MSI bravo 15 b5dd
Has anyone encountered the red border/back light in their MSI katana? How did you fix it?
I already updated all my drivers and the red border still persist. Is this, perhaps, already a hardware issue?
Hey guys, I just bought an MSI Creator Z17HX Studio A13VGT

Hello there I have an issue with my laptop (MSI ps42 8rb)
I wanted to improve the network card, except that I broke one of the sockets for the antennas and it got stuck in the antenna socket. So I changed the card and antenna but I took generic antennas, I "adapted" them to the chassis but now I don't get very bad reception I can't move away from the router more than 2m. Do you have a solution? I was thinking of finding antennas from MSI but impossible. Thanks
ps: English is not my original language thx google translate.
I dont know how i broke something on my laptop and now when opened its whole keyboard moves up and down from the left hinge how can u repair or where to buy parts to fix it
self explanatory title. msi crosshair 17 which does NOT have a mux switch, so the internal display is always driven by the igpu
this specifically happens when i grab the laptop from my desk where it has an external display plugged to it as well, for some reason running nvidia-smi(shows what processes are on dgpu) shows specifically msi terminalserver and dcv2 is using the dgpu. this does not happen if i boot the laptop without a display plugged in, let it all the way load to the desktop including msi center, then plug back the display. but thats so inconvenient
cannot reproduce this issue on linux, im sure its something with msi center app(i really do see why people dont like this thing)
i need this fixed somehow because dgpu staying on wastes so much battery
Hi all, I have accidentally damaged the audio output jacks (both) in my MSI GT75 Titan 8RG. Does anone, by any chance, know the component id of a compatible audio board (or individual audio jacks)?
