there are so many misleading information online and can't find the answer for this specific model in the watt calculatore on msi site (there is no 4050gpu option in there)
Anyway i bought the laptop 1 month ago after a life of desktop pc so i never got interest in power banks buy, every information would be helpful
I have a MSI Sword 15 A11UD that I barely used since I had a PC. That PC has died now and I'm using the Sword as my main. I noticed the Battery never reaches 100%(Stuck at 96%) and is actually slowly decreasing when plugged in. It looks like it lost about 20% of its max capacity since first use, I'm not a tech person in any way. This doesn't look normal, Can I get a second opinion and remedy/solution if any?
Around 6 months ago i downloaded all this stuff for windows 11 that makes the ui (taskbar, start menu, window border) look like windows 7. I’m pretty sure they’re not viruses or anything like that because my computer worked and functioned just fine and I had little issues or concern for my hardware or privacy. My issue now, however, is that my laptop turns on like normal and lets me sign in and enter my pin, but when i get to my home screen it’s all black and I get this error message for the DWMBlurGlass (one of things i downloaded months ago) and a failure to load the dll and symbols. I can’t do anything, i can’t open anything or see anything, only move my cursor around a blank black screen. No commands work like pressing the windows key or any respective shortcuts. The only thing I can manage to work is ctrl alt delete and open task manager from there, but even then i don’t see anything running that could cause this so i don’t know what tasks i could force quit. I’ve only had this laptop for a little under a year and I’m not sure why/how this happened as it happened recently and as far as I know my laptop isn’t broken, im just stuck with this perpetual black screen when i sign in. Is this something I could fix or would I need to get it repaired or wiped or what. Please help me i’d really appreciate it
I was playing beamng on it the other day wirh no issues. I was on a trip and the computer may have been thrown around a little but nothing too rough as I watch it because of the price of the laptop and my financial situation. Which is why I want to fix this. I used the website steam unlocked to download fnaf 1 and 2 to play for a little nostalgia then delete. I played them just fine, opened both, then closed them and played other games for an extended period after that. Today, after getting back and unpacking, I turn on my laptop to it running like cyberpunk on medium torturing intigrated graphics. I try to move the mouse and its like theres a second of input lag. I click on the start menu and it takes 10 seconds to pull up. Any change I try and do on the screen is choppy and unresponsive and about as slow as the start menu. I pull up task manager to find that everything is running fine. A steady 5gb of ram out of 16 which seemed the highest out of everything. Cpu averageing around 15% gpu around 1% with normal spikes. Network with none but some spikes and disk holding around 30% usage. The laptop I have is one of the Katana A15 laptops with the Ryzen 7 8845HS, 16gb ram, 1tb storage some WD drive, and the RTX 4070. This laptop worked flawlessly before this and after I reinstalled windows the problem persists. Edit: I realized later I didn't reinstall from a usb drive like I origonally thought because I wiped windows, on the setup screen it was lagging like crazy still so I tried to use an external usb drive but realized that LEGACY BOOT IS DISABLED BY MSI AND I CANT FIGURE OUT HOW TO ENABLE IT TO WIPE THE DRIVE AND FULLY REINSTALL WINDOWS
It's a brand new Vector 16 HX with a RTX4080, I noticed this while looking for G-sync options.
I have no idea if the internal display supports G-sync but I have a external G-sync monitor connected.
I also have no idea if these options should be visible regardless if the monitor supports them?
I have reinstalled the newest drivers from scratch but nothing changed.
Some solved this by disabeling the Intel gfx in BIOS but I can't find any such option.
My old G-sync monitor can only use DP and the laptop only have HDMI so I have to use it via an USB-C (thunderbird) docking. Windows still identified it correctly and to be sure I downloaded a monitor driver so instead of being named "Generic Monitor (XB321HK)" it's now named "XB321HK (DP)".
Still I'm missing a lot of options?
Today I try to install some 96gb ram 5600mhz from Crucial on my ge67hx, but didn't work. Was some one able to install and use ram like this?
What I noticed is that if I turn on the laptop with one stick from this ram and one from original ram, the laptop starts and cpuz show the total of 64gb(48gb+16gb). But the task manager show only 16gb.
I try several configuration on bios, but seems nothing works.
Any solution?
Hey, I have a MSI Vector Gp66 Gaming Laptop Intel Core i9-12900H GeForce RTX 3070 Ti laptop and have a few questions. First of all, this is the only issue I see with the battery and to be honest I don't mind having it always plugged in. I use it almost exclusively as a PC and can find outlets when I go to class. I was wondering if I even need to replace the battery as the main thing I was worried about was my battery being damaged and damaging the rest of my computer as a result. If I do need to replace it, should I buy straight from the manufacturer and what is the manufacturer for the battery I need. Thanks :)
Hello, I have a msi laptop with 16 gb of ram, 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1185G7 - 3.00 GHz and Nvidia GTX 1650.
The problem here is that every game I play on this laptop lags. For example, I play league of legends with lowest possible graphics and still lags.
Now, I understand it's not an incredible gaming device, yet I dont understand how such a laptop cannot even run league of legends.
How can I solve this?
Thanks in advance
I got a Cyborg 15 A13V and I am having problems loading games and other programs like discord or a simple web browser (a singular tab, not 50 lol). If I do load both of them, im having insane input delay (up to 5s) and can't play until I close out of the web browser or discord. Is this ever happened before, tried googling it up but no results show up
12th gen intel i9-12900HX + RTX 4080 mobile
No manual overclocking or undervolting performed [yet], this occurs regardless of CPU Performance Boost Mode settings [but it seems to occur faster if its allowed to run higher clock speeds], and occurs whether the GPU is working alongside the integrated GPU or as a discreet card. The laptop has been repasted once, about 4-7 months ago which reduced how long it took to overheat but the issue has persisted since first booting, and it is dusted out with canned air every so often.
If I essentially babysit it with external cooling or keep it elevated it won't overheat.
But if its in a situation where cooling is suboptimal, it will slowly keep accumulating heat until it overheats without trying to do anything about it.
If its on high performance it will actually speed up the fans and slow down the processor/gpu, only reaching an overheat if its running a game like Roboquest with the maximum framerate set to uncapped [and no additional cooling, implicitly].
Any other MSI center option and it will eventually overheat itself if left without intervention.
are setup to try to run at close to 95C for laptops specifically
are overvolted at stock resulting in unnecessary heat production for basically the same output
is there truth to these statements, or are they just hearsay?
Thanks.
Hello, I recently updated my intel graphics through the intel driver support assistant, and ever since then I am having issues with things becoming transparent and the screen brightness flickering/changing colors. Does anyone know what’s happening or how I can fix this? I attached a video as an example.
My laptop is randomly looking by like this and is there a way to fix it?
For some reason my screen randomly doing this. Is there any way to fix it?
HEEEEEELP, I cannot fix it by just reinstalling it, I cannot even uninstall a feature at all, whenever I'm tried to open a feature, it instead sends me to live update, and I cannot update anything in it.
BTW gaming mode are missing too
Hello I’m trying to reinstall windows 10/11 on my GP66 UH and I have a problem with a certain driver I tried all the tutorials available to try to solve the problem but it doesn’t work. I also tried to install the drivers available on the official msi site it doesn’t work anyone have a solution?
Hello,
My GS66 screen now broke after only 3,5 years after normal / light office use. It petty much only sits on my desk.
The quality of the GS66 is really a joke, but that is a different story.
I now want to replace the 240hz screen that I have with the 300hz (matte version).
1. Now the question to anyone who has one:
Can you please tell me the exact model number of your 300hz screen with manufacturer?
You can look it up very easy with Hwinfo64.
(for example my matte 240hz version is from sharp and has the number LQ156M1JW03 )
2. Can you tell me where I can get an original replacement screen in Europe?
I have bad experince with the ebay "original replacment same model from different manufacturer" blabla screen.
But I can't find anyone who sells the exact manufacturer. Everyone only says they offer the screen from different manufacturers and you have to see what you get. But that is BS because they always send the worst quality one that have worse colors than the original that had proper quality control.
Here are pictures from my screen (I used a complete red picture because then you can see the lines best) . It changed a lot from last week to this week (and i closed it maybe 5 times in between):
Where can I buy the bracket for the ssd ?
I have a MSI GF65 Thin 10UE, I have 2 8gb RAM DDR4 2400 mhz, the issue is that right now I have 1463mhz (it appears like 2933 MT/s in windows), I want to change it to 2400 because I’ve already notice lag in single activities, I went to the bios and change the memory ratio to 24 (I looked that in Google) but when I save and reset the laptop it goes back to “default profile” and the memory ratio is set to 11
So long story short I bought a used MSI Laptop.
It runs fine when not under heavy load, but when I tried running League of Legends on it the CPU temp started steadily rising until it hit 95 degrees at which point the laptop just shut down and needed to cool off. Mind you I only run 1 game and League isn't that demanding.
When under normal load - 2 Chrome tabs watching YouTube etc., CPU temp is around 65-70 but if I start a game or give it more load it quickly starts to rise the temp until it gets too hot and I turn it off to protect the CPU.
I tried to adjust power settings but that didn't help.
I am going to change termal paste but I am worried that won't be enough.
Anybody else have hit the same issue and found out the cause?
I need to press the power button for like 10-12 minutes before it finally powers on, I just passed the warranty period so what should I do i think it's a battery issue but the laptop runs fine on battery
Had an opportunity with the sales going on to upgrade my old dell to a proper gaming laptop, went with the Vector because the hinges looked so much better than the Sword and I've had hinge issues with laptops in the past.
However, while I'm watching my idles, my cpu temperature is sitting at about 50-60 degrees while idling, and auto fan speed would keep my fans running at 3000rpm minimum when manually adjusting it shows it doesn't even need that to stay that temperature. I've been trying to tweak my fan speeds to keep them quiet but struggling to find a consistent speed where it doesn't constantly speed up and slow down the fans, the quiet wind-up sound it makes as it does so gets a bit annoying after awhile. Are there any good custom fan speed recommendations? And is leaving the fans at 0% at idle a bad idea?
I know part of it is because the I9s run hotter than other CPUs, is there any way to tone back that power? I wanted a MSI to match my desktop and I know I can get by with an I5 or I7 CPU but didn't have that option. Barring that, are there any effective ways to get the temperatures to drop without breaking the bank?
And also, is there anything else I should also know or settings to change to get the most out of my laptop? I got a few days to trial it and return it if I can't make it work out.
Thank you!
Hello, I have this issue that happens a lot when I’m gaming and my laptop sometimes overheats it drops the frames to 5-20fps and sets the fans at max and even after it cools down it doesn’t return the frames unless I restart is there some sort of fix or way to make gps return to normal without restarting? Thank you!! MSI LAPTOP ALPHA C7V
I have a msi gs66 11gu. The spec is i7-11800h and rtx 3070. Even with the cooler boost on my laptop still 95°C for CPU is it normal?
Hi everyone, i have an MSI GL65 Leopard 10SFSK (Intel I7 10 Gen 10750H + RTX2070 Super), i want to replace the thermal pads, because are a bit damged and exausthed, what thermal pads do you recommend? And what measure?
Hi, I've been happy for the last 8 years with my MSI GS63VR 6RF (i7-6700HQ, GTX 1060 6GB). Still a very capable machine and does everything I need it to. In all those years I've struggled a bit with the fan noise vs component temperature (which is probably to be expected for such an early thin laptop). I have used ThrottleStop to undervolt the CPU, MSI Afterburner to kinda undervolt the GPU, have run a liquid metal setup for a while and then came back to MX-4 thermal paste.
None of these solutions were particularly super helpful with keeping the temps normal. That's why I wondered if anyone has tried some hardware upgrades for the cooling system. An extra heatpipe somewhere? slap some 2-3mm copper shims on the cooler near the chips? Completely swapped or modded the undertray of the laptop with some massive hunks of aluminium or copper? Successfully replaced a cooler from a newer laptop to this old one?
Would love to hear all your ideas and tips.
I have the MSI GF76 11UD laptop and was looking around at some external monitors that I would use in conjuction with a usb-c port docking station. I keep seeing conflicting answers as to whether or not that this laptop can even support display through the usb-c and was wanting to get a concrete answer before i bought these things.
