Hey guys, i wanted to factory reset my computer for a fresh start, but turns out my bios rvy parition is gone.. How can i get it back? Is there any ISO? I got a gf65 thin 10ser
Its been two months i have been using msi bravo 15 laptop so far so good. I am satisfied but with the limitation of 8GB ram i thought of upgrading the ram to 16GB looked for speed and made my mood to get either 5200 mhz or 5600 mhz. No here is the real issue when looked it via cpu-z and other tools my RAM which is 4800mhz is running at 2400mhz. Even at full load after reading few blogs this is locked by msi and can be boosted via bios which i m not able find XMS settings etc.
I have few queries here: 1-why they block the performance of RAM intentionally.i know power consumption is a factor but what if user dosent care about this and should be able to enable full speed if the mode is performance or gaming 2- if anyone aware can let me know how i can boost the ram performance via bios.
Cpu: amd ryzen 5 7535hs Gpu: redeon rx6550m Ram: 8GB
i just got my laptop yesterday, MSI Katana gf66 11ug, and whenever i am using google earth pro for my work my cpu reaches +90C (the map has so much data), is this normal
Other than that, it mostly stays around 45C (113F)
When i am gaming it reaches 75 to 80C

There was a new System BIOS for MSI Titan 18 HX released on the 5th March 2024 - E1822IMS.112
According to the changelog, it doesn't seem to improve much or change anything but it does say "Update EC version to E1822IMS.112"
https://www.msi.com/Laptop/Titan-18-HX-A14VX/support?sub_product=Titan-18-HX-A14VIG
This one is for the A14 VIG model, but there is one for the VHG model as well, so make sure not to update the BIOS with the wrong one
There could also be some hidden bug fixes or performance improvements, but it's difficult to say. My own Titan 18 HX A14 VIG system works perfectly fine after performing the flash update. Most likely some behind-the-scenes fixes to keep the system maintained with optimised power delivery and whatnot
Go ahead and update to it, and let us know here if you've noticed anything different or strange. Some System BIOS updates can break things, which is why not everyone updates to the latest version so quickly, at least not without checking online to see if it's safe and stable
Hi! I have a Katana GF76 11UD and an external monitor (3440x1440@165hz) but I cant use the monitors native res and refresh rate. I need to use 2560x1080 to get 165hz+ but this isnt very good for photo editing. Noise and the quality of the photos appear much worse plus games are pixelated or soft with antialiasing.
Is there literally any way I can use the native setup? This doesn't have a DP so that's kind of out of the picture.
Hey guys hope u all well. i have an MSI GE66 raider i7-10th/rtx 2070. unfortunately spilled some coffee on the keyboard and now 60% off the keys are not working. so i've decided to replace the keyboard..so do you have any advices? any tutorials? did you have similar problems? if yes how did you replaced it and thnx .
I want more storage in my laptop to play games, etc, but running out of storage now, where's a good website I can order a good storage extender for my MSI Thin laptop? anything will help!
Hello, Currently I am facing an issue where i just discovered that my laptop of 4 years, has been capped by windows, and seemingly is only seen to be capable of 60 hrts refresh rate by both windows and Nvidia (the settings with Nvidia control panel do not even show.)
This is the case with my primary internal panel, which in bringing up old manuals, and old specs for my specific model. GL65 9SC. should at the very least be 120 hrts.
Ive already tried updating graphics drivers, and for display drivers, Windows assigned it a generic PnP driver, and even with command line commands to get manufacturer information to go get a driver for the display, the only information windows pulls up is a bunch of fluff of generic monitor.
Given that everything about my model and specs says that i should be able to do 120 hrts, (Though i cant confirm the actual specs firsthand on my PC itself as Windows refuses to give me any information about my monitor and its model). I feel like something here is being missed, I recall having access to higher refreshrates in the past, though now my PC acts as if it was never a capability to begin with, with all of my googling just resulting in primarily solutions surrounding external HTMI monitors rather than internal panels.
I'm wondering what I can do to optimize my laptop to have things run smoother, my fps has been rlly good since I got a monitor for my laptop but now my games like valorant tend to crash, freeze, and load me in really slow, getting me penalties and banned from games because of something I can't even control. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions.
For reference I have an MSI GE75 Raider 10se and my specs are shown below.
I do use a laptop stand with holes to try and keep it from getting too hot and have a second monitor. I close most applications when gaming.
I can't figure out for the life of me what kind of charger i need
Hello everyone, I am basically a student and I am planning to buy a MSI Bravo 15 B7ED {ryzen 5 7535hs + radeon rx6500m, 8gb, 144hz} My mains tasks will be watching online study lectures (and some gaming😅) While I might have bought a professional laptop coz I just need it for viewing lectures, I find gaming laptop look cool and stylish. So I am planning to buy it.
I have 2 main concerns, first is that will it last for 6-7 years(I don't have ti do heavy gaming) and second, how much battery backup it has. I know its a gaming laptop so it will have a poor battery backup, but as I said I will game very less, so can I just turn off the dedicated gpu to increase battery backup?? Please reply, I have to buy a laptop within 25 April.
This garbage piece of bloatware has been on my laptop since I got it. I've tried to no avail in the past to get rid of this god forsaken piece dumpster. I recently found out how to disable it on startup - which is nice - but I'm wondering how to permanently get rid of it for good. Can i just delete the "Norton Security" folder in my program files?
My MSI Katana 15 B12VGK laptop bought April last year almost always lags when typing the Windows 11 local user account password after Windows Update installs all drivers. The characters take approximately 10 seconds to show up.
What's weird is that this only happens if I turn off and on the PC and not if I restart it.
EDIT: I reinstalled Windows 11 again and even if I don't manually search for updates in Windows Update, it automatically installs them some time after, so I get this issue anyway.
EDIT 2: I found out it's the Realtek OED Driver install that causes this issue.
EDIT 3: If I disable fast startup on Windows 11, I don't have this issue.
EDIT 4: MSI Center has a setting to make the battery charge until 60% when it's below 50% and I can't find it on the BIOS so and because of that I have to install MSI Center to be able to enable it. Every time I update the BIOS, that setting is reset and I have to install MSI Center just to enable it again. I'm tired of enabling it.
EDIT 5: The "A" key seems to get stuck and not always works.
The title explains everything.
Hey everyone,
Since a few months i had a problem with my battery. The situation was/is as follows:
I would charge up my laptop and use it on the charger. As soon as i pulled the charger out -> everything is still fine and it works on the battery charge. BUT i would restart my laptop and boom! suddenly its 0% and it dies. I've tried countless of things and countless of fixes but nothing worked! Until:
I did this -> in order:
Now the laptop keeps its charge (by a few percentage lost while starting up) so i hope it stays this way. I've seen many people with the same problem and i hope this can help you out a bit. Otherwise a new battery is my next step but since it keeps its charge while unplugging... it seems more of a bug than a faulty battery.
My F8 which is the key that lets me adjust the brightness including turn on and off the keyboard lights suddenly stop working. For some reason it is my right ctrl button now and my Alt button is now use to turn the lights off. My Fn key suppose to turn the function keys Orange to be used and now it’s not working all of a sudden. Needs some help to turn it back to normal.
Hello .I have a msi katana 17 b13v and I saw that I have some space next to the battery .Do you think I can increase the capacity with bigger battery ?
Guys help..
When i try to make stretched res in my msi laptop it just make my screen smaller any idea how to fix that??
Hi. :) So after not touching my MSI laptop for three years (I built my own Desktop machine), I decided to get replacement charger for my old GS65 Stealth, just to play around with it a little bit. It powers on, thankfully, but the charger icon in the bottom-right-hand corner of the Taskbar has a little gray X over it. Indeed, as soon as I remove the charger, it cuts off.
I ran the Windows update to see if installing three years of cumulative updates would work: no luck. I went into my device manager and tried updating my battery drivers; the most up to date drivers were already installed. Finally, I generated a battery report; the fields for Design Capacity and Full Charge Capacity were blank. Any idea what the problem might be? I made sure the wattage and voltage of the replacement charger I got matched the OG specs.
(Also, as an aside, the last time I used it, I noticed the battery would slowly lose charge, even when powered off. However, I know that was a known MSI issue a few years ago, so I don't think that has anything to do with that.)
So im looking at the GF63 12VF-1030 as a budget work travel laptop to play a few non intensive games (ESO/FO76/FH5)
My main issue is that the 4060 is limited to 45w from what I can tell.
I have a few questions -
Edit : After having a look at the benchmarks is seems like an 80w vbios would be the best one to choose - Has anyone tried this yet?
The original charger I got with my GF75 Thin 10SC laptop stopped working recently, so I ordered a new one online, but since I couldn't find anywhere a charger for the exact model, I went for the closest I could find, which was gf75 thin 10sc 014fr, but the charger I got didn't fit in unfortunatly. I looked on a few websites but never found right one, and given how expensive chargers are, I can't afford to buy new if it's not the correct one. Any idea where I could find one to be shipped in Europe?
Hi, I m looking forward to purchase a laptop for college purpose coding and development. Can anyone suggest me a good hp or Dell laptop in budget (Indian rupees 40,000-50,000)
