Hello, Everyone. First time posting on this community. I have an ASUS M15 GU502LV that I bought in February 2021. I rarely use it to play games but have here and there and usually use it for just browsing and occasionally use it to work from home. I would say I maybe used it once or twice a month for a few hours average since I bought it.

So two days ago, after not using it for about 2 months, I turned it on and logged into windows with my pin. The computer went to the normal windows desktop. I immediately went to the kitchen and made some breakfast and ate. When I came back, the computer was off. Thinking it just went to sleep, I tried to turn it on but nothing happened. I also noticed that the charging light was not on.

I looked some stuff up on the internet and tried unplugging the power adapter and holding the power button for 60 seconds. Nothing. Tried charging with my Thunderbolt port. Nothing.

I opened the back up and removed the battery and plugged in my adapter. Nothing. I tried the thunderbolt port again. Nothing. I bought new battery and installed it. Nothing.

So my question is, does this sound like somehow my motherboard is fried? I can't imagine how that could have happened with such minimal use and I took care of the computer. Never dropped it or banged it into anything. I am just so puzzled.

If it is the motherboard, like what should I expect a repair bill to be for something like that? Should I just buy a new computer? I have not contacted Asus yet because I fear it will not be worth the diagnostics fee if i am just going to buy a new computer if the repair costs too much. Really bummed out about this. Any other ideas? I am more than happy to answer any questions to help figure this out. Thanks in advance.

TL;DR Computer doesn't turn on or charge and it is not the battery. If the mother board is fried, what kind of repair bill may I be looking at? Is it worth just buying a new computer. What else can I try besides holding power button for 60 seconds, replacing battery etc.?

I'm using a ROG Strix G513IC 2021. What's my dGPU output? I've checked in NVIDIA Control Panel and it said that my dGPU output is DP. However, there are no DisplayPort output on the laptop, can I use USBC one? And if it does, can I use C to HDMI cable?

The armory create software is not showing the system fan rotations. I find it strange, I would like an opinion, if it is a problem with the fan not rotating or just a software bug.

I might need to upgrade my Rog Strix 2070 soon to a desktop PC. Problem is I don't have a lot of money. What are your opinions on upgrading some of the components on my Strix? Would it be cost effective to upgrade or buy a new desktop. I mainly need it for blender and the occasional new game (Subnautica 2 when it comes out). Here are the specs to help :)

I remember when DDR5 first launched that some people were having issues with 4 RAM stick configurations and getting it to run at the full speed. I am planning to purchase 4 sticks of Gskill Trident Z Neo RGB 6000.

With the new generation of X870E motherboards, has anyone had any luck getting all 4 sticks to work at the advertised box speed?

Hello asus users i have an ASUS ROG zephyrus model GA401QM and i always have performance issues running games like fortnite but run better fps on higher end games like COD or Outlast trials i have updated my drivers and still run <80 fps on fortnite, any suggestions would help!🙏

I assumed there would be some thing in Armory crate where i can go bind them to tap a part of the screen, or assign them some d-input but i do not know where that setting would be.

Hello guy, I used GeForce Now and try to boost up Halo Infinite and my phone suddenly shutdown and it boost up again but it shutdown again after I entered my password didn't response to anything, like buttons and charging are not working either, what should I do?

My phone is ROG 5s, android 12, I can boost up the game normally before.

I use an Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 2023, and Windows 11 Pro.
I recentrly ran into an issue with my laptop's webcam, It started running at 7fps instead of 30, which made the head tracking experience horrible in games.
I don't know if it's a software of hardware issue.

Hey folks, recently got my PG32UCDP and have been trying to properly calibrate my monitor. The difficulty I am having is figuring out the correct setting for the windows 10 HDR slider, what setting has everyone got it on? I am using the Gaming HDR setting which apparently gives the brightest HDR option when brightness is set to 100.

Hello everyone I got an ASUS ROG Strix G17 laptop, recently I noticed it behaves weird in sleeping mode when connecting to a monitor.

After I clicked sleep mode on windows 11 OS, it sleeps. However, after a short while the fan became work and then the fan’s voice became louder and louder, and I can’t wake it up by my mouse and keyboard. When I open it I can only see the black screen, the backlit keyboard turned on but not work. I have to force it restart. After the restart, it can sleep normally.

It seems that something was still working after the first sleep and cause the problem. This only happens when connecting to a monitor.

I have the latest bios, gpu driver and system version. Anyone can help me or face the same problem? Do I need an RMA?

So my two-year-old Strix g15 laptop is acting up. It won't boot up unless it's plugged in. It just gets stuck on the boot screen with the ROG logo and the loading animation. I have to hold the power button and reboot it while it's plugged in to get it to work.

The annoying part is when I take it to uni. I have to reboot it multiple times, even though it's plugged in, just to get it to work. This happens every time I unplug it. It used to happen rarely, but now it's happening more often. Before, it could even run without being plugged in a few times, but now it just won't do that at all.

Looking for the Scar 18 2024 with mini LED screen, i9-14900HX, RTX 4080, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD. A lot of resellers here in europe have the Scar 18 2024 listed with these specs and the nebula hdr display but then say it has 500nits which doesn’t work out. Therefore i‘m looking for the exact modelnumber for these specs with the mini LED screen. ASUS lists this spec as G834JZR-R6049W, but i‘m not sure if there’s another number/spec that’s maybe just a tiny bit different but still has the mini LED and 4080 combo. Hope someone knows more!

Since march 2024 I'm a not-so-proud owner o 7950X3D with G.Skill RAM and Asus X670E-E Gaming Wifi and RTX 4090. For a long time everything was working perfectly fine, no bluescreens, no startup problems, no BIOS problems, no RAM problems. I was gaming a lot and watching if core parking works fine then I forgot about it because there were no problems.

Now, 1.5 year later I noticed some stuttering and FPS drops in Hunt Showdown. I started to investigate and found out that no cores are parked... I'm 100% sure corese were parked in hunt few months ago. I double checked everything and found out nothing... Game bar recognizes all games, performance profile is ok. I updated BIOS, updated chipset drivers but it didn't help. I did also a clean windows install but still nothing.

I also found out that core parking behavior depends on what game you play.
Horizon Forbidden West, Helldivers 2, Hunt Showdown - 0 cores parked. Funny enough when starting Hunt Showdows there is an Easy AntiCheat screen and for a few seconds the cores are parked properly! But when the game launches it uses all cores.

Cyberpunk 2077 - when launching 8 cores are parked, after loading into the game 5 cores are parked - it uses 3 frequency cores.

Deep Rock Galactic, Ready Or Not - 8 cores parked properly all the time.

Anyone knows what's going on there? How to fix that damn thing...

Hi guys. Somedays ago I bought a Asus Rog G614JIR. I am very happy with the laptop but It's a gaming laptop you know. It gets hot when playing games, which is very normal. When I playing video games I'm using the Turbo mode for cooling. Is Turbo mode safe for long-term gaming?

Hi! I got a new laptop a few weeks ago, Asus Rog, before that I had Asus TUFgaming. I play a lot of rhytm games, and since trying a few ones for the first time on this laptop I noticed that whenever I try to hold two or more notes(keys) frequently it registers only one of them, and I constantly have combo breaks. I had my old laptop for 4/5 years and I had Windows 10, so I'm not really familiar with Windows 11. I've disabled sticky keys but the problem still remains.

Also, if it's relevant, when I just opened this laptop for the first time, I had a window pop up with some built-in program that had a bunch of setting's for gaming experience or something. I remember it had a lot of settings for microphone/keyboard/sound but I closed it as I thought I will get back to it later, but I can't seem to find that programm anymore, and I don't remember the name of it. But something with Gaming and It was green, but it's not GameBar. Maybe it could also be a reason, so If you know what I'm talking about, please tell me what is it, as I've also had problems with microphone noise cancellation.

But anyways, does anyone know what can I do with it? Surely it's not something with the keyboard itself, it's a brand new laptop. At least I hope so!

I bought my strix g16 a few weeks back and i just noticed that its touchpad is misaligned aligned and i checked on my friends strix and his was also same or somewhat less and just confirming is it common or should i get is replaced under warranty The photo wont do justice!!

I have a question on how high can i go on the ram size and ram speed.

My current ram setup is still the stock configuration(before gddr6 replace the old gddr5 vram for later models which i heard came with 16gb ram as standard package) which are only using one stick of 8gb 2666MHz SODIMM.

I only can guess the absolute max ram size is 64gb combined, but not sure about the ram speed at all

I bought this rog g15 used set for 2800 myr or 600usd, this is g15 2021 model. 5800h with rtx 3050. But I have few concerns About this PC parts health, can anyone suggest me any software to test or check the laptop component?
