I have Lenovo Legion 5 15IMH05H.
Its reaching its 2nd year soon, so warranty is finished.
I just noticed this? Should I be worried? What should I do?
This is on full brightness btw.
I already have a ps5 but I’m mostly excited to be able to have mods in games. What games u guys recommend I start off with? (Legion slim 5i Ryden 7 rtx 4060)
Hi guys, my lenovo legion laptop has a weird noise coming fro'm itd fan. Im curious what you guys might think is causing this noise
This is the best price I've seen for this laptop and I don't think it'll get better. Got all the bells and whistles besides the 4070 but that's gonna ad a bugger price tag. I configured it myself and was thinking of not paying the €100 extra for Windows software and perhaps I'll just get a key online and install it myself and save myself around €70 or so - do you think it's a good idea or should I get it reinstalled?
I've been doing so much research for months now trying to decide on my first laptop I've bought myself and I've changed my mind from an Asus Vivobook Pro to the Yoga Pro i7 and I think I've finally settled on the Legion Slim 5 - it has all the best(right) specs, great battery, I/O, Graphics card it's just perfect. And this price is unbeatable for what I can get in Europe (electronics are so expensive).
Have to order it in Netherlands to a friend because that's the cheapest and only place I can get QWERTY.
TL;DR: Is it worth saving €100 and not getting Windows installed and instead installing it myself by getting a key online?
I want to buy the Lenovo Legion pro 7i gen 8 as it is currently almost out of stock and on a 32% discount. If I buy it now and the price drops on black friday, can I ask for the difference in price as refund?
Background information: Laptop was left open, on the charger, plugged into a second monitor and went into sleep mode while I was doing other stuff. When I went to turn it back on it wouldn't wake. I've had this issue before and it usually works fine after a hard shutdown, unplugging everything connected, and letting the laptop sit off for a few minutes before turning it back on. This time that did not work and the laptop has been like this for a few hours now.
Other recent issues:
TLDR: Second SSD with no windows went bye bye caused bsod. Windows SSD went bye bye but got fixed with a little push
Things I've tried:
sorry for the really long post I just wanted to make sure all information was here. I need this laptop I have a final project due the week after Thanksgiving that I wanted to finish before I go home next week and this really screwed me over and I want it fixed 😭 also if anyone knows how I can make a formal complaint about the Lenovo repair depot basically screwing up my entire laptop after they replaced my motherboard when it was sent in for a bottom panel replace because the corner was chipped please let me know! I'm annoyed!
So this is the laptop i own https://psref.lenovo.com/syspool/Sys/PDF/Legion/Lenovo_Legion_5_Pro_16ITH6/Lenovo_Legion_5_Pro_16ITH6_Spec.html
apparently it should launch fps games just fine with high quality settings too, but im always on 30 fps MAX that goes with valorant, overwatch 2, genshin, everything. I adjust the games graphics settings lowering quality making everything medium it doesn't work, i never use the laptop without charger plugged in and in conservation mode, my laptop settings are mostly adjusted to best performance, I regularly update drivers, I check task manager it's never too bad, GPU temperature never really exceed 75 so idk what's the issue. I am trying to contact support but if anyone has suggestions or faced similar issues i would appreciate an advice ty in advance.
Hey all, hoping to get some insight, as the other posts in this sub haven't proven fruitful. My microphone no longer functions at a level that is usable for this device. Running a Mic Test in Windows 11 shows the input only running about 2% of capacity.
I've repeatedly tried updating the drivers, and installing new ones, but nothing has seemed to work. I'd be very grateful to see what's at the bottom of all this.
Thanks in Advance
Hello I am looking to get a laptop for animation and some 3D modeling. I’ve narrowed it down to the Lenovo Legion 7i 16” with Intel core i9, 32 gb of memory, and nvidia rtx 4070 Or Asus Pro Art P16 with the ryzen ai 9 hx370, 32 gb of memory, and nvidia RTX 4060
I’m not sure which would work better for what I need I do like that the Asus pro art has a screen you can draw on. However if the Lenovo Legion is more reliable and like generally performs better I would go with that and just get a tablet that connects to the laptop.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
I recently got a new Lenovo Legion Tower 5i Gen 8 from Best buy, and I'm trying to set up custom fan curves and profiles to better manage the cooling, but I can’t seem to find a way to do it within the system. Is there any software or method you’d recommend for creating custom fan settings on Lenovo desktops?
I've already downloaded the program that updates and allows you to overclock your card a little bit, but it seems very limited. It seems like the BIOS or pre-installed utilities don’t offer much in terms of fan control.
Also, I’m curious if it’s possible to overclock the RAM that comes with this build?
Specs Are:
Intel Core i7 14700F 32GB DDR5 4400 Dual-Channel Memory NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12gb TB Samsung 4th gen NVME SSD
Any help would be appreciated
I have been playing valorant with frame cap due to screen tear and I got a new high refresh rate monitor and found out my valorant is barely keeping up to 150-160fps. Tried changing to 1080p as well but it does not help at all. I played ZZZ a few days ago and saw that my Frame in battle is barely 50 FPS for some reason but I haven't test in lower resolution. I just wanna add that: No, the laptop is not overheating, got a new paste and it has been chilling in 65 for valorant. I have been having problems with alt tabing in full screen games as well, which cause huge lag to the system. Using opergx has been very slow as well. (Yes I know operagx is a shitty browser). Hovering the mouse around in circular motion on home screen icon feels really leggy (when I hover to different Icons, it takes like 1.5 sec to make the blueish background behind the icon).
Any help would be appreciated! Spec: R7 6800h, 16gb ram, rtx 3070. !
So this is gonna be long, but I really need help as I don't want to burden my family with this right now.
I don't know what laptop I have, all I know are the specs, which is a i7-9750 a GTX 1660? Ti, 16 gigs of ram (shows up as 15.9 in task manager) and a 1tb hard drive.
This started last night, I was playing a game with YouTube running in the background, and it blue screened. I wish I took a picture but I didn't, and it didn't even start the recovery process after around 10 minutes. I figured I was about to get off anyway so I did a force shutdown, which might have been a bad idea, but we are in a financial situation so I didn't want my father seeing it (I'm 17 but still don't want him to be more stressed.)
Today I went to boot it, and it would not boot, I don't know how to get into bios even if it is possible from there, and I don't know what to do. I have never downloaded anything sketchy, only games from steam, and I'm one of the only people who use the laptop other than my father who actually owns it.
If there is anything I can do please help, I thought it was just because it got hot, as it's been running a little hot and I felt it and it was pretty hot. I looked it up and I saw blue screens can be caused by overheating, so that's why I tried to boot it normally today.
TL;DR my laptop blue screened, I don't know the model, and I also don't want to tell my father if possible.
Hello Everyone,
Intel had a sad episode of the overvolting and downvolting till they release the 0x129 microcode. Now, They've officially released the 0x12B microcode. but, when we'll get the microcode in Lenovo Legion Laptops. I just checked mine it was in 0x123. sadly, I tried to get the updates from the Lenovo Vantage but still didn't got any updates. I just bought my laptop on 6th November 2024.
Laptop Specifications:-
Intel i9 14900hx
Ram 32Gb
RTX 4080
SSD 2TB
Please any good lord help me in this situation regarding the microcode update and the process behind it. It'll be really appreciable.
I’m seeing this on Lenovo’s site for a refurbished laptop. No other indications as to when it will be available.
Has anyone ever purchased one that was first listed as ‘available soon’ or know if there’s a timeframe for when items like this become available?
Hi everyone,
Not so long ago I bought a Lenovo Legion 7 16IRX8H (82WQ) and it worked great for a few months.
But recently I've been experiencing some heavy issues :
I use my laptop mostly for work purposes, so it's on all day long and it's always plugged to power. I have opened it and removed any dust, there wasn't much but it didn't change the issues. I also tried using it on battery, it doesn't seem to heat up as much and didn't shutdown while on use, but as soon as I plugged the charger it shutdown quickly after.
Have anyone experienced any of these issues and/or have solutions ?
Thanks!
PS: I have noticed that my CPU temp is around 90°C idling, I have found and applied the fix related to the disabling of Processor Performance Boost Mode, but sadly didn't change anything, CPU usage is at 5%, Fans are at 100% and:
why is this happening? it happened at least 3 times this week, and its confusing
So with the click sale on now, there's two of these that looks very tempting. If I do get a legion, it will be replacing an Acer Nitro 5 some I'm curious how that would compare?
So I'm stuck between the 7i https://www.lenovo.com/au/en/p/laptops/legion-laptops/legion-7-series/lenovo-legion-pro-7i-gen-9-16-inch-intel/83de001kau#features
and
With the price difference being 1700 aud, is it really worth getting the 7i?
I was at a local retailer yesterday and was fairly disappointed by not only the LOQ, but also Slim 5 Keyboard. Every review i've watched talked about how great the Legions are for typing(always). To me the keys felt just too flat, like you either accidentally push them or feel like you have to pres them deep into the Laptop to trigger it, i've liked most of the other keyboards more where they had more travel time when being pushed down?
Am i doing something wrong here, is it something that comes with getting comfortable over a couple weeks?
At my Desktop i have a Mechnical Keyboard (Corsair K35 RGB), Gaming Laptop so far is the Nitro 5 with aa 1660Ti and at work i have the T14 Gen2 Intel and i like all these keyboards.
Am looking to get a Glacier White i7 at the Outlet Store but so far i've seen none. Are there any times new stuff drops? Any Codes/methods i should be aware of to save money?
Thanks in advance for your replies fellas and fellarinas!
Hello everyone!
This is my first post here, I am a new owner of a Lenovo Legion 5 17ITH6H. I got it from a seller who found it at a lower price in Germany and sold it to me for 900$, it's really good and I am deeply in love with this laptop as it is my first gaming one, I only have one small issue I am used to French keyboard and the one I have right now is a German one. Do any of you know where I can buy keycaps or the silicone thing that goes on top of the keys? ( I already searched and I didn't find one that match the germane keyboard perfectly since the enter key is somehow too close to a key next to it). sorry for my bad English please ignore any mistakes <3.
Hello guys my lenovo laptop have a probleme when i open and close the lid its make a cleacking sound
After months of waiting it finally came in and now I don't know what to do with it.
Legion 7i ,i9 14900HX with 16GB RAM and an RTX 4070.
Hi everyone
first i wanna say sry about my gramathic, my eng is not good.
So, im using lenovo legion 5, ryzen 4600H, gtx 1650, 16 ram, 512 m2 ssd, 120hz screen.
And the issue is - in all games, no metter how many fps i have, 60 or 160, its feels same, - gameplay is not smooth at all, i can say more - its like stuttering or what, feels like 20-30 fps, + horizontal tearing in all games i tested (when i moving camera up/down).
U can say - turn on VSYNC, and yes, thats fix tearing and gives super smooth performance, BUT! Only if i can run game with 120 fps, only! if fps go down to 118, feels like before vsync on.
I like my spec, even its not new and powerfull, but in my games it gives me 100 fps avg.
i playing some games on my phone in 60 fps and its much smother then 100 in my laptop.
I try everything, locking fps, old drivers, new drivers, changing any option in invidia control panel, trying testing game on iGPU, update my bios, using win10 and 11 - all same, gameplay is smooth only with VSYNC ON and 120 fps always
i find people with same laptop and same issue, but didnt find any solution.
any idea?
Hi,
Has anyone replaced the stock cooler on the Legion T5 26IRB8 desktop with an AIO? I'm curious if it's even possible to swap it out, and if so, I'd love to hear about your experiences and which model you used!
Thanks!
The laptop Is brand new.
I’m unsure whether this price is worth it, or if the price will decrease further on Black Friday later this month. Thoughts?
Specs:

32 GB DDR5-5600MHz (SODIMM) - (2 x 16 GB)

Is it bad to keep my laptop plugged in if I have the charge limit set to 80%? I usually use it at home and Ive heard letting the battery discharge and recharging it constantly is bad for it.
