Welcome to /r/FrameByFrame!
This subreddit is for working and studying animators to discuss the craft that we are all passionate about. Talk about the direction of the industry, upcoming films, techniques and workflow preferences, advice and jobs.
Although we like to foster the next generation of animators, we'd like to keep questions and posts by non-animators in /r/Animation. This community is for industry professionals and students studying animation at a recognized institute or college.
Check out these animation blogs. Introduce yourself here.

Thought this might be a simple enough test of Procreate’s animation capabilities, and it kind of snowballed….
These days most of action films are made with intentionally chaotic fighting scenes . most of them can not use as reference. That is my opinion.
i just watch this video again...

what are the some best old movies that can use as reference for 2D hand drawing animations..?
i see charlie chaplin's movies are good for reference..and this link has some useful references.
is there better resources out there?
i also like to study Body Mechanics References .if you know any good links please share.. thanks.
Really happy with this one
Hey everyone! My name is Janel Drewis, I'm a feature film animator with over ten years of experience animating in games and film. I've worked on films like Turning Red, Lightyear, Strange World, Trolls Band Together, Kung Fu Panda 4, Lego Movie 2, and more.
I'm launching the Janel Drewis Animation Workshop to help aspiring animators hone their craft, and I wanted to share it here with the good folks of Reddit. Right now I'm offering 4 week mentorship blocks, but there's much, much more on the way. Check out the site below and thanks so much for reading, see you around!
Thank for watching:)
Here is the trailer for Color Me Geeky Episode 26 premiering later this year. Stay Animated Everyone.
A trailer/proof of concept for my next short film "Zoe's Night Out". The film was created and animated in Quill, then rendered and composited in @BlenderOfficial as part of the @NextLabGeneration program.
