I love doing the side quest in oblivion, especially the deadric quest. I know it's a meme when you do all the sidequest first but honestly I think it's way better then just playing vanilla. However my favorite quest is by far the Molag Ball quest where you go find an old man and corrupt him I think it's both sick and hilarious! I also enjoy the ruins in oblivion as well. As you see I'm wearing umbra, and I gotta say for being under level 20 this armor is almost the best you can get. I think I'll go clear the first oblivion gate soon but I know I'm gonna save scum at the end in order to get komelion as I don't have a use case for literally anything else. But what do you guys think what are some quest that you guys like to do that are helpful before the main story?
PS: I'm already the archmage lol
Ulfric, Rikke, Tullius and Galmar are all killable during the Civil War. It seems unlikely Bethesda would remove that and present either a total Imperial or Stormcloak victory as the canon choice.
There's an interesting part about how Torygg was open to the idea of an independent Skyrim.
I think as a compromise choice, the canon in ES6 will be that Ulfric was assassinated before the moot was convened, and that they instead made Elisif Queen, and then as a reach out to pro-Stormcloak parts of Skyrim, she'll secede from the Empire.
This fits in with the narrative of the Empire in terminal decline, while not invalidating all the efforts of the Stormcloaks.
The lore and writing in ES absolutely boggles my mind and warms my heart and from what I’ve learnt it’s all because of one man.
It puts it above other fantasy games in my opinion.
Is it possible that Tall papa aka Ruptga is actually another aspect of Auri-el? Cause they also dislike Lorkhans plan of creation just like the altmer and also they worship Tu'whacca who is actually Arkay/Xarxes.
I know Khajiis could get sickness like everyone else, and . I know there is the one flu that effected men and mer but not Argonians. But I wonder if there sicknesses specific to them. I'm looking at the list of diseases and I don't see anything- unless I missed it.
It's been stated that in TES games, canonically the only quests the protagonists do are the Main Quest and the DLC quests. This rules out being a slave to most Daedric Princes except two: Molag Bal (Dawnguard DLC) and Hermaeus Mora (Dragonborn DLC).
However, Molag Bal requires player to choose the Volkihar side during the Dawnguard questline, which means it's not a certain thing. And given that I doubt following games will have it so that Volkihar won and bloated out the Sun forever (the lore outcome of siding with Volkihar), let's just go with the idea the Dawnguard erradicated the Volkihar vampires and secured Auriel's Bow.
But there is no choice in Dragonborn. You do Hermaeus Mora's bidding, going as far as directly causing the Skaal shaman to die so good ol' Mora can have the Skaal's secrets, and putting down Miraak like a rabid dog as his new champion. At the end of the questline he basically rubs it in your face that you're his new plaything and there is no dialogue option to contest that whatsoever.
And I know that some people will be like "ackshually you're an aspect of Akatosh so your soul belongs to him" but I'm afraid that's cope. That's not how it works. At the end the LDB is just another dovah, and we see several dragons bound to Daedric Princes or other powers of Oblivion in both TES5 and ESO, such as Boziikkodstrun in Coldharbour, Durnehviir in Soul Cairn, Pelagius with Sheogorath, and the very same Miraak that you put down. Akatosh did not seem interested in saving any of them.
Hello , has anyone else reached 1600cp and killed many people on game. Than have a grey sad boy messages and threats ? Ultimately being doxxed, and have a secret fan group now. Collecting sound bites and videos from all devices at my house. This is illegal in my country, but does ESO support give any effort to find these horrible, depressed individuals? Thanks.
I'm sitting here and I am uncertain as is normal when reading about nocturnal I suppose but still. I want to know what the limitation of the skeleton key is it's said that it can open anything doors, mental barrier, the full potential and freedom
Can it "unlock" people as of manipulating them? Can it open "every" door even barricades and walls? Portals? Can it take me to another plane of existence outside of nirn?
I have so many questions..
Can it unlock ulfrics pantaloons? Or nocturnals robes? 👁️
Thinking about running a DnD campaign with some local friends set within the Elder Scrolls universe. Got some ideas for the campaign, but not sure which one to run with. Which of these sounds the best to play with?
Note: I consider all three ideas taking place during Reman Cyrodiil's reign
Do you like Craglorn
I started replaying Skyrim a few days ago after my initial play through years ago. I have the Special Edition on the Series X - I forgot how beautiful the game was. More importantly it made me want to go back and actually start Oblivion again which I may do soon.
Funnily enough I tend to enjoy exploring and kicking off side quests - I ended up with the Dragonstone tablet before even getting to Whiterun lol.
Curious - what approach do yall take? Do you dive right into the main quest or take time to just explore the world, interact, etc.
I will also say that, and maybe this is just nostalgia or me making things out better than they are, but I felt like the NPC interactions in Oblivion were better than they are in Skyrim. I may just stop where I’m at with Skyrim and kick it off with Oblivion first.
So in Skyrim, it seems to be implied that the gods interfered in some way to make sure the Last Dragonborn could slay Alduin for straying from his duty, but if the Last Dragonborn died at any point in their quest (say, Alduin showed up after they got executed rather than during) would the gods have merely used Miraak as a backup Dragonborn to save mundus? Without our intervention, Miraak would've escaped, and it seems like he despises dragons just as much as anyone else, so I doubt he would follow along with Alduin's mission.
The Aliens really fit Molag Bal. Their brutality and the way they reproduce. Even their aesthetics.
The Predators on the other hand are perfect for Hircine. They live for the hunt. And they even follow some rules just like Hircine.
Alien vs Predator kinda mirrors Vampire vs Werewolf
I don't have too much pop culture knowledge about these things. I tried searching and asking AI. I saw some but they don't fit as well.
Borg(Star Trek) or Coluans(DC):- Hermaeus Mora
The Thing:- Boethia since it deceives and Boethia is known as the hunger. Maybe Namira.
Skrulls(Marvel):- Mephala
Necromorph:- Namira
That's all I got so far.
Do the bosmer have their own version of Sheogorath? Do they even recognize him?
