Played a lot when younger, don't even know if it runs on my notebook, but I've never played any dlc, I would like to try.
I was wondering, is there any way without mods to play Skyrim in a “civilized” way? Having to work to buy food, have your own house, or have your own business and expand your financial empire, without having to get involved in fights or face caves, simply live like an NPC.
For me, it’s Shroudhearth Barrow. I just do not like it. I’d rather climb to High Hrothgar 50 times on foot than deal with the barrow.
I came across the Alik'r trying to take a woman away against her will. I normally ignore the interaction but thought I'd help out this time by putting an arrow into one of them, that got me a bounty, so I then had to kill both of them and the woman to clear the bounty.
Can't Become Thane
So far I have tried to become thane of Winterhold and Morthal but after helping serveral people the progress tracker is staying on 0/3 for Winterhold and 1/3 for Morthal. I have tried leaving the towns for more than 48 hours to reset the conversations and have made sure that the quests are listed as ones that would count. Is there a mod or anyway to just bypass this requirement at all or am I just not going to ever become thane since resetting my save would be too much progress lost at this point. On Xbox btw.
Hi, I’m currently doing my first ever play-through of Skyrim and I’ve been having an immense fun collecting cool items and putting them in my houses. I’m a huge hoarder and perfectionist so I love when houses have a specific special spot for items from a collection. Just wanted to start a discussion on where your preferred spots are for exposing your collections!
For my next run, i want to play with the survival mode, what equipment and build do you recommend?
Has anyone done this before? I saved the woman from the forsworn attack in the marketplace. I read Eltrys note.
Then I went on a robbing spree. Stole the one silver blood guys journal in the markarth Treasury house.
After that, I went to talk to Eltrys in the Shrine of Talos. He should have sent me on a quest to gather information (talking to Margaret, talking to the people in the warrens, the fight with the enforcer, the battle at the Treasury house, and the ambush at Nepos house)
But I didn't do any of that. The markarth guards were already there over his dead body. I skipped the entire middle of the mission and killed Madonach with the entirety of the Silver-blood crime family network still intact.
I had no idea you could do this. Is this the result of some mod or the creation club update? Or is this just something that has always been possible and I never knew about?
Preferably looking for standalone overhaul mods, I know nothing about the mods available but downloaded a bunch of interesting sounding mods from the creative club or whatever it’s called, I was worried they’d be OP and, lo and behold, I’m oneshotting everything with infinite gold.
Any suggestions for modlists?
I've tried searching for the answer, but couldn't find any concrete information. Most that seems to be out there is opinion posts and individuals saying who they prefer to win the civil war/how they see it ending.
Is there anyway to see what the general conses is? I was thinking that BGS would use that to help inform the canon outcome, for instance if 65% of playthroughs were stormcloak, they would perhaps choose a Stormcloak victory as the canon outcome (pains me to write that as an Imperial supporter)
Ok so I have Skyrim Special edition so it comes with all of the DLC content, but for some reason the only arrows I’m able to craft are iron or corkbulb. Has anyone else run into this and do you have a fix?
Every time I enter Hjerim, the usual table that has the amulet and pile of posters is never there. Only a pile of posters on the floor, the physical table is not there and the amulet is no where to be found. Can I still progress without this?
Hi everyone, so I’m playing Skyrim (anniversary edition) for the first time In my life (25 yo), I’m 12h in and so far I absolutely love it but there is A LOT of everything in this game and I’m easily lost and don’t really have the basics for such a complex game. So, do you guys have some advice I could use so I don’t struggle a lot on my first gameplay ?
So in both Fallout 4 and with relaunched Skyrim editions, each time after loading you have to wait a bit for the "immersion black screen" to pass. Every time I load a save or do a location transition I have to wait around a second for this bs black screen to pass.
It's really annoying. Especially if you are loading a quick save in the middle of combat. AI still works in that black screen state so the enemy can kill you very easily. The only workaround is to press ~ and open the console, pausing the game while this black screen dissipates.
Is there a mod or another way to turn it off?
Installing this mod fixes the bug: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/71101
It forces the Ring of Hircine power to appear whenever you have the ring in your inventory regardless of whether or not it's equipped. This fixes the bug where players don't have the power appear despite having the ring equipped and solves any resulting issues you'd otherwise encounter in various werewolf overhaul mods.
Hey. Sorry in advance if this isn't the right place for this. But I've been looking all over for a fix for my problem. I just purchased and downloaded skyrim from the steam launcher not but 30 minutes ago and when I loaded up the game and pressed play from the launcher I got hit with this error message: "Application Load Error 3:0000065432".
Does anyone have some advice on how I can fix it? I would really like to experience the world of skyrim.
Has anyone experienced this same issue? And if you were able to fix it how did you do so?
Is this achievement bugged?
I have all 11 perks but not gained the achievement. Apologies for the terrible picture quality.
So i've recently got into skyrim and started a campaign, I run as an Imperial who wields a one handed weapon and then a fire spell in the other hand.
Its been pointed out that I should take a "class" but im unsure of how to do that just want to the play the game, could my current strategy continue me through all the content in the game or do i need to have a class?
Thanks for any help!
I am running Anniversary Edition on the Nintendo Switch, and my game lets me enchant +smithing to Boatswain Shoes I buy in solitude. This lets me have five pieces of +smithing gear. I haven't found this on google so wondering if it's a known bug. Either way I love it.
Is there anybody here who build a Sun Dragon Paladin character?
How did it play and how long took it to optimalise your character?
If you were to build the strongest build that is theoretically possible; what kind of character would you be? Race, perks, powers etc.
I like frost magic.
Was gonna go for a Nord and use destruction magic and Conjuration for the Frost Atchronach, Skaal armor cuz it looks cool and kinda fits the frosty vibe with it being more tailored in appearance to the extreme cold weather. Maybe one handed as a backup, and I’ll keep the priest mask that does more frost dmg (the one from White Ridge Barrow) with me, idk other than that.
Does anyone know how to get a second set of silver armor I tried the duplication glitch people use for ingots and stuff but it only duplicated the boots helmet and gauntlets and I don't wanna grind mg smithing up. Any ideas?
