Discussion and news. Cooperative Agorism is a social strategy, that consists of influencing the political landscape by means of peacefully improving and strengthening civil society in critical ways. - This sub is not limited to, or even explicitly endorsing of, Samuel Edward Konkin III's ideology r/Agorism as originally presented.

This subreddit is for the general counter movement seeking to establish voluntary institutions, that will make society a better place and that ultimately could safely replace existing governmental organizations, so as to allow for greater freedom for everyone.

Cooperative Agorism is a social strategy, not an ideology. It consists of influencing the political landscape by peacefully improving and strengthening civil society in critical ways.

It does not rely on, but can very well involve, what are known as platform cooperatives, regular companies or DAOs. It can include both so called "vertical" and "horizontal" substrategies.

The sub itself is neither left, center or right. It's not limited to, or even an explicit proponent of, Samuel Edward Konkin III's left-libertarian ideology r/Agorism as it was originally presented. However Konkins work was an early influence for the later more fully developed strategy, which continues to evolve even after his passing.

No matter what your exact cultural or political persuasion is, if you value freedom you are welcome and allowed to post or comment, as long as you stay more or less on the topic of the sub and of any post you're commenting on.

Because the community consists of several different political and apolitical subgroups, some very broad ideological debates such as pitting "socialism" against "capitalism" are not generally the purpose of this sub. Civilized discussion of any topic relevant to the sub is of course allowed, but for disagreements on this issue in particular, we recommend you head over to r/CapitalismVSocialism/ instead.

We strive to keep a good tone towards one another here and to work together for the implementation of greater freedom in our lifetimes!

To use the internet, one must have a phone number. Otherwise, I can't set up the iPad or get on Upwork, so I'm researching Hub Culture to see if they can pay me for work without having to get an iPhone. What is really procuring my attention right now is "100 Extraordinary Women Leading in Technology". I'm trying to find out what is Hub Culture's relationship with the Me Too movement.
