Hey everyone!
I’ve just uploaded a video where I convert a full Imperator: Rome game (465 AD) into Crusader Kings II and Crusader Kings III, then run them side by side to compare gameplay, maps, and features.
In this video, I:
This took over 38 hours of footage and a week to make, but it was worth it! I also added the Paradox Converter Team's Patreon link to give them a shoutout for their amazing work.
💡 Question for the community: Are there any CK2 mods compatible with Imperator: Rome converters? I’d love to feature them in future videos, so please share if you know of any!
Here’s the video link: [YouTube Link]
Let me know what you think! 🙏
Warning!!!: English is not mi native laguage, pleasebe respectful (Sorry for saying Agea, it's Ages)
I'm working in a mod, the roman empire ages. This mod will take you to 98 AC And if you don't have DLC, don't worry, it's going to be 100% DLC Free, so you would be hable ro play as a pagan, but is one that i make. The things is going to have are :
So this is a small view, and the mod is still in a very early dtage. I'm posting this to now what I ideas you have to make this better.
Playing as Hafdan in York starting from 867 and in around 900, I found an interesting feature that stopped me from raiding Paris from the Seine river. Coincidentally it says there is a province adjacent to the river that has at least 6 level of fortification (the same level that prevent those settlements from being assaulted). However as I search in the defines.lua, there is no other place which mentions the level 6 except the "FORT_LEVEL_ASSAULT_THRESHOLD". So I am wondering is these two mechanics(force assault and river raid) affectd by the same parameter?
ps: due to network issues i use the old version of reddit, sorry that i can't choose proper flairs.
In light of the recent London election, results of which were announced on 2nd of May, someone should make a Count Binface mod, I just want to be able to play as him tbh.
Pm if interested?
hello. I made a mod for ck2 that extends the game to 1492, but after I finished, I discovered that when you click on load game, the game kicks you out of it. Does anyone know the solution?
I’m playing a game where I try to create Irish Britannia, but I don’t like that it turns red. I tried doing it myself, but it disabled achievements.

Hello guys, I was wondering how do I create an event that get triggers when creating an empire it shows the event gives an option one for female rulers and one for male rulers and gives them effects and artifact? I'm new to modding in CK2, so a help will mean a lot to me.
any help all videos i watch are low volume and picture is not to be desired
Hey so I wanted to try and get into modding a little but have no idea where to start. Would you guys have any recommendations for tutorials or guides that I can use? I tried following a guide on Youtube by Mr Samuel Streamer but it's from 2 years ago and it isn't working for me.
Thanks!
So, since some time I realised that every time I launch a game with a certain mod it crashes, like... After few minutes. Do you know what might be a reason? Could this mod be just to big to handle for my PC?
Hi, I'm trying to make a CK2 mod about Fable. I think I need some help. I have made the terrain map and the river map, but I need help with the trees, the topology, the height ant the other documents of the map part.
If somebody wants to help me with this mod i'll be very grateful. It's my first mod and I don't know how do the most part, but I will try to learn.
If there is some interested I will send the links of a capture of the 2 maps I did.
Fable is a very loved and epic game, Is very strange there is no Fable mod yet. I think it have potential. It could be a major fantasy mod like AGOT, Witcher Kings, Elder Kings, Middle Earth... Fable have a lot of lore and a dark but funny unique world. In fact they tried to make ruling mechanics for fable 3. Can you imagine fable 3 in CK2? The council with Reaver, the absolutist reign of Logan (max centralization + max city taxes + max castle levies), the revolution with more realism, the war aganist the crawler as an actual war...
I created the "common" folder, but I don't know if I did it well.
My plan is make the times within the fall of the Old Kingdom to the end of Fable the journey. And put the Fall of the Old Kingdom as the year 1.
The forests and marshes could be ruled by monsters or highwaymen. Aurora could have a lot of cities at the start of the game, but at the time of Fable 3 the Crawler have all Aurora but the capital itself.
We could have more view of the southern isles, Samarkand, the western cities... Some zones we know that exist in the fable but we never seen in the game itself. Also we could explore the chaos after the fall of the Old Kingdom.
I wish to modify sunset invasion for a mod. ( The cultures, where the invasion start etc ... ). I know where some of the files are for the dlc, but not all. How would it work ?
Since new reddit doesn't seem to have the sidebar, here is a link to the discord server.
Alright I'm actually new to this site. There is a mod, Sketchy cheat menu, it allows you to adopt people into your dynasty and your wifes dynasty. There is an option to add a dead_flag modifier, this helps make it possible to join dead dynasties, I think. Botton Line, how do I join a dead dynasty with this or another mod?
What I have doesn't work, I don't know what I'm doing at all so any assistance is appreciated

Before Holy Fury and its update, I was using a modified (old) version of Ck2+. As expected, it doesn't work anymore with the new update, but since it contains so many modifications (including new buildings and province history) that I made myself, I'd rather adapt the mod to the new update myself than wait for a new version of Ck2+. So far, I have edited the religions (merging all hellenic versions into the new Holy fury Hellenism), copied over the governments, the decisions, the events; deleted all events and decisions related to coronations and the imperial government form. When I try to load an old save, which I also edited to adapt to the new version, ot loads it correctly, but crashes upon trying to load. The same happens when I try to start a new game with the mod on. What am I missing? I can upload the (very lengthy) error log that is produced, if it's of any use.
This isn't about an existing mod, as I am trying to make a new one myself, so correct me if this is the wrong community, but I wanted to do a sort of Frankenstein experiment with unit graphics. The unit I'm trying to make would have a Greek Heavy infantry body, a sword as its weapon, an Italian pikeman head, and an Early Frankish Heavy infantry helmet. However, all I've managed to accomplish thus far is switching the Greek heavy infantry weapin from an axe to a sword, as I can't figure out what components of the Greek model I should replace for its head and helmet. Does anyone have an idea how to do it?
Hi, I'm wondering if this subreddit is active. I have a modding related question.
Is it possible to mod the way barons are randomly created through agnatic open succession? I'm especially looking for a way to influence the culture and religion of Christian bishops and mayors.
If I am not mistaken, earlier in the game's development randomly generated mayors/bishops always had the religion+culture of their liege. Now they can either have the culture of the liege or the province, and the religion of the liege.
I am looking for a way to change this so that the created mayor/bishop would always follow his predecessor's faith. So for example if I would give out a bishopric to a heretic, his successor would also be a heretic. Is there any way to do this in vanilla CK2?
Thanks!
I can't seem to download Diadochi Kings to try and see how they portray the Roman Republic, but in general, I'm new to CK2. I had an awesome game in EUIV's Extended timeline about a restored Roman Republic and I want to see if I can do that again or better in CK2.
But merchant republics as they stand don't seem to emulate the Republic very well, not the least of which are the titles. So I'm wondering if anyone has seen a mod that puts all that stuff back in.
Today we are happy to announce the creation of what we call the network. This network will consist of various other subreddits which are all related as they are for paradox games. However, unlike the normal subreddits IE /r/stellaris or /r/hoi4 these subreddits will to solely for the modding side of paradox, as is the case with this subreddit.
Most of these subreddits are new as nothing like them had ever existed before, you will be able to tell which ones are new fairly easily. Listed below are the subreddits in the network.

For a while we have had a discord server going, its been relatively small in comparison to some of the other discord servers out there. Now we are pushing this discord server to become the official platform for communication. This takes place on a relaviily new platform called discord
In the coming weeks expect some more changing and improvements to this network as we solidify it and work upon it. In the future we may also hold moderator applications for those who wish to join the team and help keep everything running smoothly, to stay tuned for that.
