I just finished my first playthrough and absolutely loved it. My character initially allied with Graven Ashe but ended up betraying him because of his war crimes.
They had no intention of killing any Archon, but everything went out of control. Ashe refused to bend the knee, Tunon's trial went wrong, Bleden Mark wouldn't even talk at Ashweald, Nerat was killed, and an Edict of Storms was unleashed upon Kyros' empire.
What started as a 'peacebinder' ended up becoming a true menace. It’s sad that there’s no Tyranny 2 :(
Hello, just have beaten the game on normal (anarchy path) without any problems, decided I might give POTD a try, just wondering which should be easier, starting from the scratch or NG+ and maybe specific path? NG+ sounds like a nice way to make my PC even more 'developed' but at the same time game incorporates enemies scaling, so I'm bit stressed of combat getting out of hand later, on the other hand completely new game with low level toon might be a chore during the early stages.
What I've noticed is >!Lantry !<was so much more useful than other companions I used (>!Verse, Barik, Lantry!<), so probably I'd like to go with my Fatebinder being frontline tank with Challenger stance (>!as for items in case of NG+ Tunon's hammer and mask are tempting due to their acid dmg!<) but not sure if two handed tank would manage. Companions - all casters, so >!Lantry, Eb and Sirin!<.
FYI. When I finished my PC was level 17 Javelin/Shield tank using spectral blur and ignite brand.
Appreciate any tips - basically trying to get more challenge but at the same time I'd like to avoid too much frustration.
i got this game a few years ago for free and found the prologue pretty engaging.
did multiple playthroughs, but i must have been kinda bad at the game because i never found a satisfying ending to the first chapter or even a way to interact with the defenders.
got stuck on the temple puzzle though, so i never made it very far from the start.
so basically, is the rest of the game as good as the prologue and chapter 1 and is there a peaceful ending to chapter 1.
also, is there a way to avoid all the combat? i was mostly playing as a unarmed diplomat, so all the fighting felt really weird and out of character.
I recently realised I own Tyranny on Epic. I have started playing it and so far I'm having a blast. Unfortunately, I'm quite a fan of achievements on Steam, which means that I would invariably prefer playing on Steam, but the game is not cheap, not even on sales, and waiting even longer to play it seems silly given that I already own it on Epic. Thus, I wanted to know if I played this game from start to finish, will my achievements pop up on Steam when I load up a savegame? Thanks!
Why on Earth would they not make Tyranny 2? This game was awesome!! Choices were so well done...
I wasn't sure when to start the Bastard Wound dlc and ended up finishing it at the very start of act 3. However, after reading some information online I realize I should have done it in act 2. I was able to finish Truth & Reconciliation but now I am unsure how to trigger Annal Sects. Am I just locked out of this quest since I'm already in act 3?
As the title says. I have conquered Vendrien's Well and got teleported to the top of the Mountain Tower, spent some time talking to my companions, interact with the sculpture in the middle. I had a little vision at Lethian's Crossing as well. I read all the in-game Spire tutorials (One starts with "you have unlocked another spire" ????) and I know nothing more. I felt lost as to what I can do, since now all the locations in the Well are not available anymore, so I looked up a playthrough. I learned that I can just open the map and travel to Tunon's Court. I did just that, clicked on The Bastard City, clicked on the Court and... nothing happened. Is this a bug? Am I missing something?
Edit: I'm an idiot, you have to travel through the travel points at the edges of maps, or as the case may be, teleportation pads, not the map menu. It is literally the same interface, only on one I can travel, the other I can not. It is my first playthrough, pls don't paugh too hard
This game is a gem but the end of the game feels like you've finished the introduction of the story. I would love to have a second game. Pls, someone at Microsoft do something about it. It'd be a shame to not exploit this license more!
I didn't read (really stupid of me) that you cannot go back to Path of the Damned once you turn it down to hard. Is there a mod to go back to this difficulty? I cannot restart the game without creating major wrath with my girlfriend :X
hello all, after last played the game years ago i've recently been feeling like playing throught it again, and i was wondering, but i've been struggling to decide which assignment to go for during conquest since they all seem interesting in their own way, i remember that back during my initial playtrought i went with Lethian's crosssing and stalwart, so i'm wondering, what do people find are the most interesting assignments ?
edit: i've never actually finished the game beyond stalwart so avoiding spoilers would be apreciated, thanks in advance
Most guides say you need at least Favor 4 to get him to swear loyalty to you, but I managed to do it with Favor 3 (93% to Favor 4) and Wrath 1 (53% to Wrath 2). You just have to be very careful with what you say. Has anyone else been able to do this?
Forgive how vague I am with this, but I am confused with my current progress on my first run-through. I just finished speaking with Tunon for the second time and I labeled Voices of Nerat as the primarily guilty party. After that...nothing. my quest insists that I continue to gather evidence, but I am not sure at all where to go.
I'm obviously missing something, but can anyone lend some advice as to what should come next?
So this is going to be a odd question maybe.
It's been a while since I've played the game, last time I did I did it for the Chorus so as to spend as much time with Soulcatcher (I mean Voices of Nerat) as possible.
But I've been looking forward to doing another runthrough and decided to take a peek at the wiki for some fun artifacts to build around.
I ended up on the page of the Bronze Brotherhood and the list of endings for every faction, and I was rather stumped by something.
The Bronze Brotherhood, another faction pretty heavily inspired by the Black Company books much like Nerat is, does. . . not actually seem to have an ending at all. Only one where they drive Leithan's Crossing into the ground under their rule.
Which you don't get by allying with them, you get that by leaving them alone in whatever path you are on.
So. . . what's the deal?
Do they have actual endings and ending slides that just are not listed on the wiki here?
Or were they just. . . not given any at all?
Hello everyone!
I have already completed this wonderful game several times and would like to complete it again and gain new experience. For this, I want to complete the game solo without companions and for my character to have access to all the skills of companions.I have not found suitable mods. I have found cheats for adding talents, but I have not found talent IDs.
Do you have any ideas on how to do this?
You are Kyros, an overlord of unknown origin and you're on a mission to conquer the entire world. It takes you thousands of years, meticulous planning, and a mysterious power that nobody but you knows anything about, but you do it! Now the whole world is at peace.
... Except that two of your least favorite generals are arguing a bunch, sabotaging each other, and causing a whole corner of your empire to fall apart. No big deal, all you need to do is send some rookie errand girl/boy to deliver an Edict that'll most likely kill everyone in the valley. Problem solved!
... Except the glorified courier actually just resolved the Edict while the generals got even angrier at each other. So, now a civil war's broken out along with a full scale rebellion. Okay, not great but it's fine. Just tell Bleden Mark to keep an eye on it and it'll resolve soo-
... They're still at it. Okay fine, you'll just have to order them to fight it out properly. The last Archon standing gets the Tiers. So what if you're hearing rumors about another Edict being unleashed or that one little courier sniffing about the spires, it'll be fi-
... They're casting Edicts now!? Where they'd learn to do that!? And did they just kill/subdue all the other factions!? This is bad, okay, time to send the main army in. You'll be fine, if you kill them quickly enough nobody will ever know that someone else learned how to-
... Is that Edict heading for the empire!?!? Aw man, what's next? Are they going to declare war and begin their own conquest of your entire empire?
... Why do you hear war horns?
He's always about 4-5 levels ahead of any character, including main.
Anyways, finished Disfavored run: very enjoyable, seeing Graven Ashe swear to Fatebinder was very cool.
Now I'm thinking of maybe, New Game + ( I think it kind of fits since you already start from position of experience) or a new run from the start.
How does Chorus or Anarchy run compare ( I'm guessing it's more or less the same, except you also kill even your current main faction, like on other playthrough)?
Hey guys so I went through the majority of the game siding with nerat and in the end I killed both him and ashe and then I went and killed tunon and his assassin too lol. Oh and the proclaimed and edict on kyros as well.
So I've been researching the endings, first of all, bariks ending is bugged for me because it shows both that he's depressed and he's fine and respected by his troops endings.
But I also noticed another thing, if you have no armies left I assume the ending you get is
"Without allies, the winds are especially cold atop your Spire. You await Kyros' inevitable advance, brooding over the decisions that led you to this point. Though the Tiers are a friendless place, they are indisputably your new home."
But even though I killed ashe, nerat, tunon and his assassin i got the one where it says
"From your perch atop the ancient Spire, you can see hints of the Northern Empire just beyond the mountains. At your command, horns shout a triumphant cry across the valley - heralding the end of one long campaign and the beginning of another."
Is it a bug? Or is it because my companions had high loyalty to me or smth
Dumped 44 points into lore. 3 into Athletics. 3 into parry. I have spear and shield. 2 ice abilities from Act 1. How to progress next?
Is it possible to let Barik go later in the game? I want to free him of his armor and then let him go since I went with Anarchy path and he clearly doesn't want to stay with me.
I can't believe I just found this. Randomly showed up in recommended.
Hi, so I finished Act 1 yesterday and defeated Tarkis Arri. During the conversation if you choose "Any last words?" she basically gives a shoutout to Nerat for their "aid without which we couldn't get far".
After you meet with Tunon you are tasked with finding out which Archon is treacherous and gather evidence.
This line from Arri seems like a literal first-hand confession that Nerat was colluding with the rebels, yet it is not listed anywhere. I replayed the scenario but nobody seems to care that she basically testified against Nerat.
What gives? In my mind this is a huge piece of evidence that the characters just completely ignore...
I only completed Act 1 so light with the spoilers please.
So like the title says, I took the quest to >!follow Insipid Moniker!<into Darkened Hollows where I was blocked and needed to find the way past it. I did so but now the teleporter wont work to get me back there, or if I go further into the game it only lets me go into the Fractured Depths. I know that there is the console command "areatransition" but I'm really not sure what to type in to get back to the starting area of Darkened Hollows. Can anyone help? Or even just provide a list of all the location IDs, specifically for Bastards Wound since I am pretty sure this wont be the first time the teleporters give me grief, given everything else I've read from people's experiences. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I played a character until gathering Barik, Verse and Lantry and found that my characters spells (the frost and lightning spells you start with) were missing and I couldn’t remake them in spell creation, as if I’d lost the frost and lightning cores. Think it may have happened after speaking to Graven Ashe and The Voices of Nerat.
After looking for a solution online I couldn’t find a similar problem so I started a new game only for the same thing to happen.
Anyone know the cause and possibly the fix for this? I’d like to continue playing but I’ll likely uninstall if not.
I wanna spell my brains out and was wanding how to achieve the highest posible lore, no matter balance or usefulness, i need the highest lore possible
Hey all! I could use your advice.
My girlfriend and I have recently gotten into our own D&D-like shows and audiobooks. I’ve constantly been finding myself wishing for that same open-end gameplay for videogames, and was directed to Divinity Original Sin 2 & BG3. (I know it’s not exactly the same, but it’s close enough from what I’ve heard.)
However those games feel very complex for me, as the closest I’ve played to an RPG is Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 which approach gameplay very different differently.
From there, I found this game suggested on a YouTube video. I figured I would give it a try, but feel very out of my comfort zone, like the game speaks a lingo I don’t understand. Do you have any advice for getting into the gameplay when I’m not used to games like this at all?
been struggling with the game loading screen freezing but waiting seemed to be the only thing that fixed it. Now I'm stuck inside the forge interior, every time I try to leave the loading screen stuck, I mean really stuck. It doesn't freeze or give the "game stopped responding" thing
I don't know what else to do, I remember playing this game way back and being fine with it, on the same pc
