I've noticed something interesting - my EU4 seems to run slower on my monitor when connected to my laptop than on my laptop itself. It seems as if the daily ticks are slower and it's noticeable, I'd say 30-40% slower. Could anyone think of any reason why this could be the case and what I could do to troubleshoot this? I can provide more details if necessary.
Hello 🫡 so i am the girlfriend of a man who LOVES eu4, Hearts Of Iron, etc…
I know very little about these games, so do you guys have any suggestions as to gifts i can get him for Christmas that are eu4 related…ish?
Thank you guys!🤗
Hello, I am very new to EU4 and I’m playing Sweden on the newest patch and I was wondering what I should pick for my first idea.
Looking for a channel that is not like the meta dudes dominating the community. Hearing "sell crownland", "dev for institutions", "mana privileges" sooo many times just gets really tiring after all this time. You guys know of any YouTubers that play the game not in 1s and 0s? Something like PartyElite would do. I just want to listen to some narrative and see some actual progression and strategy.
I don't know if it's a bug but I can't build a single manufactory in any of my games. I've been looking for a game file where I can change the number of manufactories per state from 0 to 1, but I can't find it anywhere. Please help
Best army composition? How many units in one army? Same for Navy Thanks
It is possible to launch a LAN game according to wiki, but I am not sure how
If anyone knows how to host a lan game I would appreciate any help, it is very hard to be stuck at 2 speed even when I am next to my friend (we are running a Bitlis - Basra campagin and it is mostly waiting sooo)
I want to get an idea of how easy it is cos in some Paradox games it's easy (CK3, HoI4) while in others like Vic 3 I haven't bothered enough to try. I've conquered once as the Ottomans but took the meta idea groups and so on. Can I conquer the world as Portugal without taking Admin, Diplo ideas for example?
Thanks to everyone for your responses, it has helped me a lot
In my peace with Castile I left one colonising province. The tooltip says it will take the colonist 65 years to reach this province now
New player coming from vic2 and really wanting to get into eu4, any tips for a new player would be much appreciated :)
Sometimes I look at HRE noticing that OPMs is very good in developing provinces because they have one province and normal mana production. As Russian republic you can endlessly create trade cities in Siberia where devcost is extrimely high ( +50% for climate, +20% for terrain) and then annex and core them for 5 adm points per dev. Is it worth?
I am continuing my old Novgorod to Russia campaign and I am not sure how to approach these two mission before my big war with Ottomans. Here you have link to Russian missions, so you don't have to look for them. If I do March into the Caucasus by allying and feeding Georgia (which I would easily diplomatically vasalized) I would get very nice reward of +1 Diplomatic relations. But reward for Beyond the Caspain Sea is better if I either conquer the land directly or if I do NOT vasalize the ally (in my situation the it is minimally better to do Beyond the Caspain Sea by feeding Georgia and NOT vasalizing it, because I can afford full price +5 advisors).
Correct me if I am wrong, but it seems to me that the best play here is:
Doing it this way I will get +1 Diplomatic Slot, +75 trade power in Persia permanently and 100 diplomatic power. If I just conquer everything directly I will get a little more diplomatic power but no +1 Diplomatic Slot. If I vasalize Georgia via event I miss on the +75 trade power.
And yes I am a sucker for permanent modifiers (isn't this game just about stacking permanent modifiers to be honest?). Although I feel it is back mission design if I am incentivized to do it this way.
Unless I will loose the +1 Diplomatic Slot if I will break the alliance. But if yes then will I loose the +1 Diplomatic Slot after diplomatically annexing Georgia? If the answer to the second question is yes then the whole diplomatic path sucks and it is better to just conquer everything.
Stupid question... if I start as Provence, and make the decision to become France, do I get the French mission tree in addition to the Provence mission tree? If it does, does the Provence mission tree disappear? Do I get both fully?
