Rules
Make your post title a full question. The title of your post should always be in the form of a question unless it's a meta or informational post. You'll get the best response if the title contains a question. Submitting something with a lazy title hurts its chances of being archived even if it receives an awesome answer!
This is not /r/TechSupport or /r/BuildAPC. Specific pieces of hardware comparisons (this GPU or that GPU), build assistance(where do I plug this in, is this build OK), or other tech support questions will be removed. There's a tiny bit of leniency here, though.
No false gold promises. If you promise gold to the best answer, you better follow through. Unless, of course, answer turnout is unexpectedly small.
Be serious. You're free to include humor, but people who ask questions are looking for answers.
Explain your reasoning. Opinion and fact are both very much welcomed, but you must explain why. Simply saying "Because EVGA sucks." or "Because DVI is better." is not a good answer.
Guidelines
Try not to post extremely specific or vague questions. Find the perfect balance between un-exciting stubs and title essays.
Please... if there is an answer your receive that you really liked, reply with a thanks and a mention of it being the best answer. The answerer may be eligible for a reward flair.

I recently installed my first gaming PC with a friend, but although initially everything seemed ok, now it has a big problem: the monitor occasionally freezes for even 30 seconds. So I installed Afterburner and I noticed how, despite the FPS being good and stable, sometimes when the CPU goes above 75 degrees (which doesn’t seem so much tò me) this happens. I’m not totally sure yet that it’s issue of CPU (Could be monitor problem that is old) so if you have better theories tell me. Anyway now what do i do? Sorry for the bad English.
Where I live these two cards are priced similarly.
Which of both will be better in the long run? I don't feel like upgrading again in a couple of years.
Is DLSS overrated? Is 24GB more important vs 16GB?
Thanks in advancd
So I have an Aspire 7 with Ryzen 5500u with GTX 1650 WITH 12GB 3200MHZ RAM.
My problem is that when I open a game it sometimes has a hard time reaching 60fps even with LOL.
Idk how to solve the problem.
I noticed in Warzone that the CPU ms suddennly peaks from time to time.. so i think its a cpu problem.
Maybe it lacks cooling?
Idk... asking for some help.

Looking to upgrade my from my 8GB RX580 to something more modern, but ideally not looking to spend over $150. Looking at buying used as well, to keep cost down. What would be a good upgrade in that range? Outdated ish, but not too far gone it’s just not worth it.
I recently got a PC for school and for when my boyfriend comes over. He keeps saying that he will teach me to play so we can play together when separate. He still hasn't. Is anyone willing to be patient and teach me how to play. I want to play so I can destroy him when it finally does happen.
For the past year or so I've been having pain in the pisiform area of my hand.
This it the part of my hand that drags on the mousepad when moving my mouse. Idk why it's started over the last year, I've had the same setup for years and never had an issue. Just getting older I guess.
I've tried wrist rests, gloves to reduce friction, changing the height of my desk/chair, different mouse pads/desk mats, icing it, taking two weeks off, and no matter what I do, as soon as I start using my mouse, the pisiform is in pain. Maybe it's neurological, idk.
But does anyone have other suggestions? Maybe a bigger mouse that keeps my palm off the mousepad could help.
I'm having a discord game night, we'll be playing 5-7 different games, each game with a different challenge... it's meant to be funny and goofy and not tilting. I want to hand out awards, enough awards to give all 7-12 players a decent shot of winning something. I'd love some suggestions for game award ideas, so far I'm thinking Funniest Clip, Best Execution and Completion of a Challenge, Best Duo etc. Possibility of games we'd play are: Valorant, Chained Together, Among Us, Jackbox Party, Lethal Company, Fall Guys, Lockdown Protocol. Also drop game specific challenge ideas if you have any!
Is it worth buying, it's currently on sale for 259inr on steam, should I go for ultimate Edition or Standard edition is worth it?
I heard forza 4 will be delisted from all online platforms from Dec 31st.
I’m planning to get a 4070 super, 32 gb ddr5 ram, and Ryzen 9 7900x. Will this be a decent combination for vr games as well as some other cpu heavy games like tarkov? I’m just wondering because X3d chips are hella expensive at the moment and want to be on the am5 platform

I want to upgrade my graphics card from Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 6GB to RTX 4060 Ti 16GB, but I'm not sure if my build will work with it or not as it is 7 years old.
My build is Asus Prime B250 Plus, Intel i5-7500, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB NVME SSD, 500W PSU.
Appreciate your support and thank you.
I have an I7 12th Gen and 4 gb 3050ti the game clearly runs at 90fps on medium/low graphics without a single issue till now. I had already finished the game and it was working fine till about a month ago. Now I can barely play 10 minutes before the game crashes and the fps drops to 5. I've tried every solution on the internet and did a clean boot of the Pc nothing seems to work. Now I tried optimising it in the Nvidia panel and the game is not launching now. I'm desperate to play Vol.8 update and the online PVP someone please help

Lately my laptop (Acer Nitro 5) would very severely lag in the middle of Fortnite matches even after having seemingly no connectivity issues throughout the match. The lag would affect not only the game but also my discord voice chats too. PC/game would have a severe drop in performance and any audio would become stuttery and scratchy(?). So far to fix it i’ve only been force powering down my laptop. It doesn’t happen very often and only does when I play with friends in a different server than mine. What type of lag is this and how can I fix it?
Edit: Just added a bit more details
So… I had to install the emulator “X360CE” in order to play A Way Out on my PC with my spouse. The thing is: can I connect a second DualShock instead of playing on the keyboard? The emulator only works fine for the 1st controller. I need to know if there’s any way possible for us both to play with controllers.
P.S.: I bought the game throw Steam, and created that Steam account only to play that game because it was cheaper than the PS Store version.

I just got a bluetooth dongle for my pc and the first time I tried connecting my ps5 controller to my pc it worked and it said connected but I had to remove it because it wasn't actually doing anything when I used it. Now when I try to connect it, it connects for 2 seconds then turns off and says paired. When I turn it on it blinks 1 or 2 times then turns off. Anyone know what the problem might be?
So I have an asus tug a15, 8gb ram. But I’m confused as to why it’s slacking a little bit, it’s slow on basic web browsing, and struggling in Roblox???? I meddled with trying to get free games from dodgy sites in the past, could that be a contributing factor to underperformance? It also can’t even open forza 4, just crashes. Does anyone know if this is just how the laptop is? Or is there anyway to fix this?
Hello guys a small tutorial to control audio in different scenes automatically.
Hello everyone. Can you please recommend me some games to play? I love RPGs but it would be nice also if you can recommend some other genres 😄 I have HP 15 laptop. Processor - Intel i3 6006u Graphic card - AMD Radeon 520 Ram - 4 GB RAM
One of my friend is trying to reach his Steam Account after a half a year of leaving his account, so he tried to sign in to the account, putting his email and the right password, so steam chose to send a code to the mobile phone number to double check he is the rightful owner of the account (idk why it chose not to send to the email).
Anyways, My friend waited and waited even more and the message didn't reach his phone for some reason (Contacted the phone company but they didn't help either), so he tried to reach Steam which asked him to verify his account with any transaction or a game key, that's fine and all, except that he unfortunately he can't do that, because he lost all of his Game Key reach, he doesn't have steam guard authentication codes or any CD keys he activated .
Adding to this problem is the fact that of him being in a heavily sanctioned country (Syria) which made him use a lot of turnarounds to buy games, and those who bought those games for him couldn't help (or didn't cooperate idk). of course he received gifts from a lot of people but that's doesn't count as a verifier.
So he is in this hard position to lose his account that stayed all of his steam gaming life, and with no way to verify his ownership, even though me and all of his friends know pretty well that it's his account, in addition to steam having history of us contacting him and all of that,.
My question is, Couldn't steam try to verify in this special case that he is the owner through us? or through any other means?
