Hi
I want to play some MOHEA as I was remembered lately by reccomendations on YouTube. I do have a PS2, however only a 4k tv and the dvd ain't good. Was wondering best and safest ways to emulate or download the PS2 version to burn it to a new dvd. I know this could contain viruses and such which is why I'm asking here, wanna be as safe as I can be. Thanks in advance!
Hi!
I want to install Qemu on my Arm machine (Ubuntu 22, Linux 4.4, Rock4SE Radxa https://wiki.radxa.com/Rock4/se ) and get access to run libraries so.files in x86_64. Where can I find a great step by step guide? Im new to this. How should I solve my problem? Thanks in advance :)
Why Do Some Arcade Game ROM Files Have Sequentially Numbered "Sets"?
E.g. are higher-numbered sets more recent versions of one game?
Occasionally when I search the name of similar ROM files to confirm which is which and comparative chronology / quality using a site like http://adb.arcadeitalia.net, the info page will cite a set number for some files.
A real example : the ROM files "triplep" and "triplepa" : when I check at arcadeitalia (specifically pages http://adb.arcadeitalia.net/?mame=triplep and http://adb.arcadeitalia.net/?mame=triplepa), their info's listed under their ROM filenames, identical game title ("Triple Punch"), then "(set 1)" and "(set 2)" respectively...What does this really mean?
Thinking of picking up a used handheld console to just mess around with and take with me to play with when I’m bored. Trying to figure out what console would make the most sense. PS Vita? 3DS? Something else?
Mainly for playing older games from the 90’s and early 2000’s. NES, SNES, Genesis, PSX, arcade games, etc.
Appreciate any advice!
im looking to play gameboy to 3ds games on Mac but hesitant in downloading any software in fear of getting a virus on my brand new computer. can anyone shine some light?
In Australia an entity calling itself "Micro Cade" is selling a plug & play, HDMI "Super Mega Bundle" for $335.00, presumably in Australian dollars, here: https://microcade.net.au/product/super-mega-bundle-over-35000-retro-games-and-1400-playstation-games-2-x-ps-controllers-with-1tb-usb-drive/.
I'm asking for reviews or thoughts re: this deal or this company & its products from people with prior experience / who know what they're talking about.
This product caught my eye due to...
(1) the number of games (though there's inconsistency in the total number - compare the URL text of the link above with the image claiming "over 50,000 retro games.")
(2) the apparent inclusion of PS1 titles + (according to the page https://microcade.net.au/) "*LASERDISK GAMES (MEGA BUNDLE ONLY) *BEATS OF RAGE (MEGA BUNDLE ONLY) *PC ENGINE CD ROM (MEGA BUNDLE ONLY)... *MEGA CD (MEGA BUNDLE ONLY)", solely in this product currently.)
(Note there's a list of titles seemingly included in Micro Cade's non-"Mega" / "Super Mega" systems here : https://docs.wixstatic.com/ugd/4202d4_63a156aa2c494a6a9be6e74d655d7812.pdf.)
---AND---
(3) this system's cost & shipping within Australia being much lower than options from other Australian companies I've researched that do offer more, i.e. complete full-size arcade cabinets, but these cabinets are dangerous &/or pricey to ship (partly as by default they are uncovered), & have somewhat less ROM's, while the companies themselves are the subject of some negative criticisms / warnings online on 1 or more forums.
(I also note the system supposedly comes with 12 months warranty.)
I'm asking for input because...
(1) I DON'T want to pay anyone for illegal ROM's per se, though I don't mind paying a *reasonable* amount for hardware + software (it looks like this company as far back as 2017 or 2015 may have sold emu systems running on a Rasbperry Pi 2, but beyond a few vague photos [?a HDMI & power cable?; a rectangular, black-cased item with ?USB? sockets; ?a 1 Tb Toshiba drive?] & the info in the text of the page's URL top of post, there's zero info on the hardware in the "Super Mega Bundle"...I guess it's a more recent model of Raspberry Pi.) I'm also open to *considering* paying for the hours of perhaps pernickety & repetitive labour setting up hardware + software + 1,000's of ROM's with the settings to run correctly...
*But I'm not sure if this system is selling at a fair price for what it mysteriously includes.*
---AND---
(2) *I'm also concerned this company may be particularly "dodgy"* (for non-Aussies / Brits, "dubious & unprincipled in their business / professional behaviour"), because many, perhaps all of the reviews on the above web page as of date of posting look like different combinations of the same phrases --- & all reviews give 5 out of 5 stars. I tried adding a single-star review pointing this out to warn consumers, but this has not yet appeared on the page.
I really appreciate everyone's time & if the consensus is "!!WARNING, WILL ROBINSON : DON'T BUY!!", well hopefully we can help other people steer clear of trouble as well.
There is a web emulator I used to use called play-roms.com, but the website no longer exists and is an empty domain. It had a very large list of games/consoles as well as modded pokemon roms.
I am asking if anyone else knows/remembers this site and if anyone knows whether it just shut down or moved domains. Thank you for any kind of answer.
This is a custom menu that I built for the PAP-KIII Plus, a handheld emulator from China based on the Ingenic JZ4760 processor with a 4.3" 480x272 resolution screen.
This menu is very easy to install and runs off the external SD card, so there is no need to disassemble the device. I think it's a lot slicker-looking and more functional than the other menus I have tried, so I decided to share it with the world starting with version 7. I am currently on version 13.
FEATURES:
- Play Music
- Record Audio with built-in microphone
- Take photos with the built-in camera
- Browse and move files with the Dingux Commander file browser
- Output to NTSC and PAL TVs
- Customize various elements of the menu
- Emulate the following 24 games/systems:
- Nintendo / Famicom
- Super Nintendo / Super Famicom
- Game Boy
- Game Boy Color
- Game Boy Advance
- Sega Master System
- Sega Genesis / Mega Drive
- Sega Game Gear
- Atari Lynx
- Arcade (Capcom, Neo Geo, etc., using FinalBurn Alpha)
- Sony Playstation (not all games)
- Quake II
- Atari 2600
- Atari 5200
- Atari 7800
- Amiga 500
- Amstrad CPC
- ColecoVision
- Commodore 64
- Intellivision
- MSX
- PC Engine / TurboGrafx-16

Does anyone know of a list of all Libretro / Retroarch MAME Cores (not just the current ones), & what versions of MAME they emulate?
If that doesn't exist, it'd be great if someone could point me to the MAME Core that emulates MAME Version 0.204. That's what I've got working sweet with ROMs using MAMEUI, now I want to transfer everything as-is to Lakka on a console. Fairly or no, I *do* find the fiddliness of updating MAME + ROMs to suit a bit irritating!!!
if anyone knows a good website that still has roms that weren't taken down i'd really apprecited it, ive been trying to look for one but they all have virues or popups.
Please list me down good games to emulate! Just for reference and a fan of pokemon I currently emulate pokemon ultramoon
Hay To all!! So I'm new to emulation on PC and I'm looking forward to playing one of the Uncharted games. I've always watched the YouTube videos but Ive only found out recently about emulating PS3/4 games on pc.
I'm looking for suggestions on which h software will be the best for the PlayStation platforms and also which of the games I should start with?
Thanks to all
I’m pretty new to emulators and I want to know if downloading GameCube Roms from LoveRoms is safe??? I already have the GameCube emulator now all I need is some games.
Thanks :-)
I've always wanted to play this game but I've never had the chance. Any suggestions?
I've been trying for the past few days to get an emulation of CTR working but so far haven't had any luck. Im running macOS Sierra. I've tried roms from a bunch of different sites on both openemu and psxr. Let me know if you've had any success emulating CTR on a mac and if so where you got your downloads from/what your process was. Thanks!
Title, it was from emuparadise and they took down all their Mario shit so I can't play Mario 64. Please help.
I have the W012 4-port adapter. It used to be able to use it for Project 64, until I finally managed to make it work for Dolphin. However, doing so stopped its functioning on Project 64 1.6.
I installed the NRage Direct Input8 V2 1.83 as input, installed the Mayflash adapter thing from the mayflash website, and set the adapter to "PC" mode. And yet, I can't set up the controllers..
Leaving for a 30-hour bus ride with friends next week, and playing all the classics during the ride would be a blast. Help!
Hello! I'm new to emulating. I have finally got my virtual machine up and running. Now, how do I play the old games? I do have the actual game disks, but I would have to install disk drives, right? I have also torrented the games that I want to play on this VM. Would that be easier? And if so, how would I go about putting that torrent on the VM?
Thank you very much
I know that this reddit seems pretty dead, but i just downloaded Smash Bros Melee for GameCube on Dolphin, and when i booted it up its really buggy and laggy especially in game
My laptop has been having performance issues lately but it can still play games, any ideas on why its not running?
