I just watched Recovery of an MMO Junkie and thought it was so refreshing to see a cast of old characters that actually have depth. I hate how in a lot of anime any character that's older than 30 is basically just "parent" or "teacher" and barely a real character with own motives.

I'm looking mainly for drama or slice of life shows, because I feel it's even rarer in these genres to have and old maincast.

So, if you’re reading the title right, I’m looking for an anime where the main character always wears a hat. I’m super into hats, like I even have a collection of fedoras. Personally, I wear my $5000 neon sparkle fedora everywhere I go (yeah, I know, it’s extra). I just really love hats, and I even make my friends wear them, even though they’re not always into it. To me, anyone who rocks a hat is kinda special, and it gives off this "main character" vibe. People outside my house even mention my hat thinking I cant hear them, saying something like, “Bro’s the main character.”

So yeah, I’m looking for an anime where the MC always has a hat on and it could be anything, a fedora, a cap, doesn’t matter. Heck, it doesn’t even have to be a real hat. It could just be something like dirt on their head or grease from food. just anything on their head.

Oh and I just checked the price of my neon sparkle fedora and it went up a whopping $200 since I last checked like five days ago. Just thought I’d let you know, it’s not actually $5000, it’s more like in the $5200 range now.

Im currently on the hunt for any anime which has two girls linking arms with each other. And the animes must only be from shojo animes.

2. It either has to be from episodes 3 - 12 3 -51
3. They have to either be the main characters

As the title says, MC that starts from scraps or appears to not be that impressive at first glance but shoots up in the "important people" ladder.

Basically Arifureta but preferably keeping the momentum of it's first half.

Title might be hard to understand at first, but i'm interested in stories where part of the main focus is the rise of a powerful group or organization and it affecting the world they are part of.

Some examples that i've seen already that might get the point across would be:

- Overlord.

- Reincarnated as a Slime.

- Eminence in the Shadow.

- Log Horizon (to some extent, if you saw it, you probably know what i mean).

Recently I came back to anime rewatching castlevania and the sequel and I loved them. I felt like it was based in reality even tho they were fighting literal demons.

I kind of liked jujitsu Kaiden after that, I watched both seasons and the movie and it was good but it was not as rooted in reality as castlevania. It had a lot more anime tropes and it was nice but it felt like watching a kids show.

Are there any other anime that are less tropey and follow that style? Im explaining this horribly lol 😌

I’m looking for an old anime, I believe from the nineties. I apologize in advance if this description sounds crazy/random:

The OVA was a sci-fi fantasy that involved two females, one of which was priestess, the other who was on a journey training to be one. The one training had a sidekick that was basically a talking red ball. The story involved the return of a hero, and the two females set out to find him. When they were young they knew this hero. They eventually come across a young girl who joins them, and they end up fighting against the hero, who it turns out is evil (and not their old friend). They series ended with the little girl actually being the hero and they advertise at the end a sequel series starting this girl (Title of the Series Lemon).

I remember that the opening song was very good, and had a chorus of “kiss me”, with all the characters kissing up to the camera.

It was a goofy, slightly ecchi series (it’s heavily implied the one girl became the priestess because of her large breasts, the other one is flat chested). It may have also had a prequel series.

Again I apologize for the scattered description. I’ve been doing searches online to try and find this series and it’s driving me nuts.

I remember seeing this anime where

• The letter ア was prominent.

• There was a guy using a mobile phone but dressing like an idol

• There was an angry frog-like statue who cursed the characters and shaped them into an animal or something similar

Not really looking for an anime with smart characters like light and L but similiar feel to death note. What I really liked about the first half of death note is that Light does a lot of his actions in his own home/room. How Light has just any normal life like any other teenager out there. Going to school, being in his room, taking the bus etc. I dont want it to change, it should stay like that no matter what happens really. Also the artstyle is really realistic which I liked but thats not needed really.

I mean just imagine you picking up a death note in real life and you start using it. Most likely it would look very similiar to Light's life in the anime. The mc could have a normal problem or some type of people targeting him, as long as its like what I just described. genre doesnt matter

Hey all, so I recently got back into anime and have been going through shows like anime is going out of style, and I've reached an impasse.

This week alone I've watched Frieren (my latest 10/10), Dandadan and now Bocchi the Rock (possibly another 10, but I just finished so I need to let it sit a bit before scoring it definitively) and now I don't know what to watch next.

Im finding an anime that i watched a while ago on see tv (sctv3) on tv ofc its about idols but also magical girls in school? And the main character is a girl but a short ponytail in black/ dark blue hair and their uniform in darkblue also, an episode usually ends with cg idol performances that have songs that are also quite good? Idk what the plot is tho because i was too young and the uniforms is like classy jo uniforms like classroom of elite but dark blue their was also a blonde girl

So there this anime I watched a long time ago and I can’t recall a lot or its name. But I remember it the mc likes a an idol performer/celebrity and kept sending her cabbages or watermelons I can’t remember. Then the idol quits her job to go live a life of farming, her and the mc meet in this farming school/place?

Little details: idol has dark/black hair. When she goes to the farming place it shows scenes of her on a train on her way there looking at his notes and stuff the mc sent her.

This request might sound a little odd, but I was just wondering if a show exists where the premise is that one normal guy helps out a guy with magical abilities as they go around solving problems by doing detective work to help out people in need.

Just started a rewatch of Danmachi, and I already want to execute a significant portion of the female cast, especially Hestia. Coming from the relative reasonableness of I Parry Everything, I wanted to hurl her off a cliff and nuke it from orbit just to make sure by episode 12 of season one.

Not bothered by nudity or consenting respectful relationships, just absolutely done with the insane hyper jealousy and sexual assault bullshit. Is there a category I should be searching, or keywords, or something like that?

Nothing in the midst of dropping it's current season, or that will start doing so within the next six months.

I just saw Redline for the first time and it was literally an amazing movie....i was never really into anime movies until i just saw this i suppose that's because what i saw previously were bad in comparison; but i wanted to get some of yall's Favorites and what you suggest for me and anyone that comes across this thread.

Personally i love movies that have some action or are thrilling (redline is a perfect example of something that drew me in and gave me a thrill during their competition on top of a greatly written story) but it doesn't need to be anything like this your favorite would be much appreciated.

Just didn’t know what to watch after O Maidens in Your Savage Season as while I finished the manga series a couple of months ago, I wanted to see if I could find another anime or manga series that is about adolescence, like girls looking for a date.

What’s the one anime where a girl assassin attempts to kill a guy, but in the process almost falls off a cliff, however the guy grabs her, puts her on the ledge, and ends up falling down the cliff himself while having saved the girl.
