The fact about the moments Yuu spent with the lead singer of ZHIEND and she helped Nao's brother calm down a little bit and it kinda changed her impression on Yuu was a wholesome moment but when they turn back into past. So,only Yuu will remember about that but now that he lost his memories...
does he or does he not?
Okay in episode 6 of Charlotte when Ayumi is about to use collapse a girl a black car pulls infront of the school and a girl with short blonde hair gets out and runs into the school.. WHO IS SHE BROOO?? I DONT WANNA WAIT AND FIND OUT PLEASE TELL ME
Who else is rewatching Charlotte in 2025 cuz it’s that good of a anime?
What other animes characters have the same ability?
I fucking love her and her anime, i finished the anime in about 5 hours and 20 mins, i was happy, then i was sad for a very long time and then i was happy again, i need a season 2 but turns out there isnt going to be one due to them feeling no point in making another one… i am in love and im going to talk to her on character ai now😍🤩
Now before you say anything I want to say I watched the show twice now and now that I’ve rewatched it it feels incomplete and hollow the original plot was cool but when they started making so many pointless plot twists for no reason I feel like the old plot was just abandoned and the rid the earth of power users was a cheap out in the plot I also feel the comet could have played a bigger part of the story and could have been explored and executed better then again there could have been a post apocalyptic world after and or a dark age im just disappointed in how it ended with the way the world was built I feel there was so much potential but the way they took it was just left me in dismay. idk there’s so much hype and love but I think it’s mid I don’t want to sit here and argue I would rather discuss this and help me understand why it ended how it did.
That scene where the main character gets depressed, after his sister dies, then he sulks for a while and after some time, he gets into gaming? And at some point he does drugs? Best depiction of depression i've ever seen when it comes to young guys. I've lived like that, after i moved out bc of hate from my single-raising mom. I went to school, came home, smoked weed. Then i quit, and i got a job, but same thing still. Went to work, came home and played video games. Now i moved back in to be able to go to college, but still the same thing. Go to work/college, do homework, play video games. If i didn't play video games, i'd just be chilling in my bed. Just like in the anime, it can be a very relaxing life, but also seriously depressing and so many young people are led to drugs when going this path.
I understand it’s late right now 🥲. Holy cow, I’ll try not to lose myself now. I just finished the anime, and I think I absolutely loved it. I give it a 9/10. Personally, I dislike interrogation scenes, so that’s all that brought it down from a 10. It was originally an 8 when Ayumi passed, but it came up when she was able to return, and it’ll stay a 9, bc I also know we had the loss of Yuu & Ayumi’s brother’s best friend. There’s a lot that I can say, although 1 or 2 things stuck out to me, which I’ll point out here.
I’m glad he was able to survive to the end.
This anime truly hit me hard on the meaning of existence, just like a similar one did, by the name “Angel Beats”. As I said above, there is so much more that I can say, although I feel pretty depressed after watching that, though I was prepared for it. I TRULY appreciate the effort put into this anime by the creators, for it’s definitely impacted me as a few other anime’s have.
Lastly, I will say that I’ll add to this post in the next couple days if I ever want to. Otherwise, please feel free to ask questions or share your thoughts. Thank you. 🙏🏻🤩
Hey! Just joined this subreddit bc I’ve gotten through about halls or so of the anime. I understand it’s one season, and I’m in the middle of Episode 7. So, if anyone sees this, please no spoilers. I just really wanted to join here because after hearing the doctor say that Ayumj (Yuu’s imouto) didn’t make it from when she used her Collapse ability, it absolutely CRUSHED my mental state… Just had to share that.. not that it’s important for anyone to know. Hope it gets better. The Depression that Yuu is experiencing rn is so real.
It should’ve 24 episodes
I have been wondering and i honestly think he might of
I just wanted to say this and I didn't know where so I am saying it here. After around 5 years and hundreds of animes watched, this was the first one that made me cry (other than rewatches of masterpieces like clannad and i want to eat your pancreas) in over 3 years. This shit was so fucking beautiful, the last episode had me checking to make sure it was a regular episode and not an hour long one or something cause it felt like a whole movie.
After I found out that Yu could use plunder to take other people's abilities, didn't he use them on that one guy with the teleportation on the first episode? Other than that my only other complaint was that the OVA was just an extra story and not an aftermath like Kill la Kill's OVA, but I do think its nice that it leaves it up to interpretation, so if you thought that he slowly got his memory back or something then you can
This was such a good anime, tho I do think the ending feels a bit rushed but at the same time I’m also kinda glad it was short cuz I don’t think I have the mental strength to watch Yu slowly going insane from all the abilities for more than 1 ep. And I would have liked an extra ep kinda like an ova that happens after he fulfills his promise and the life that Yu and Tomori lives together, just a bit of lovely dovely that we’ve been missing, and maybe even a kiss and a wedding seen 🥰. But regardless I think this anime is a masterpiece cuz of its amazing character development, especially on Yu going from a delinquent dare I say abusing his ability to how mature he was before he set off to get rid of all abilities, I loved the plot twist going from a slightly abnormal school slice of life to ep 12 and 13. It was amazing.
Edit: this was definitely one of the best anime I’ve seen
This is more like an question than a discussion post so here we are. You guys remember the scene when Yuu tried to take power from a kid whose disease wasnt full developed yet? Why did he have to make the disease grow stronger before taking it, is it because he cant take it or is there another reason (I might not remember the scene correctly since i havent rewatched Charlotte for a while now)
