It's has become exponentially harder for me to use any app becuase I often scroll from the side in on a downwards angle. Now, whenever I scroll I back out of whatever app I'm in. It's incredibly frustrating and I can't find an option to go back to when all the swipe gestures were on the bottom of the screen.
I play alot of chess, where I slide peices. If a peice is on the edge and I swipe to move it towards the Center, it just leaves the application. Incredibly frustrating. Is there anyway for me to go back?
I use gesture navigation but soon after I updated to one ui 6.1 this navigation bar with only back button appeared ease help to get rid of this ( settings haven't changed I still have the gesture navigation on)
i joined the beta for the android version of minecraft so i could have access to the experimental features, and on the minecraft help page which explains their preview program, it says that the app will automatically update after enrolling in the beta program. After enrolling, I'm finding that this isn't the case, and that, according to the play store, I won't receive a beta version of minecraft until the next incremental update.
I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app to see if the play store would give me a beta version then, but I had no luck. Anyway, if anyone on here has any experience with the google play store beta programs and could offer some insight, it would be really appreciated.
I opened my zarchiver to add mods on my game and when I opened the data file it's empty I thought it was just a bug and when I opened the "files" app and opened the data, all the files where there and when I tried adding the mods using the "files" I opened the Android file and data and obb wasn't there, I tried several file manager and non of them worked, nor tutorials on YouTube I even wiped all my data to see if it would work and I still has the same problem. Please tell me how the hell do I fix it
The phone is Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G running on One UI 6.0 and Android 14 with developer mode on.
Just wondering why the "circle to search" feature which releases on the 31st to Pixel devices wasn't included in a beta. I have a P8P and I'm on the latest QPR beta but no "circle to search".
It only works when viewing something from the notification box.
Hope it fixes some stuff.
Since updating to the 14 preview, I can no longer use phone menus (the ones where you call a company, and then have to press number keys to get directed to a specific department). Having direct my call turned on or off doesn't seem to help.
No matter what number I press, I always seem to get the same menu option selected. Trying to dial an extension is taking me to a random person instead. I've tried it with my google voice number, carrier number with/without direct my call, and with/without hold for me. Trying someone else's phone works, but mine is seemingly sending the wrong numbers to the phone systems.
I posted a few days ago about the new battery page that has a few unwelcome behaviors.
I'm really glad they've returned to last full charge - the useful way to monitor battery usage stats - but it does a few things that I think still need improved upon (or that are just plain stupid). I've found or filed these two issues that I think will improve the battery page.
after clean flashing Android 13QPR1 3.1 64 bit on my Pixel 6, quick Phrases is no longer available. Is anyone facing same issue?
A couple of questions, and apologies if the answers appear elsewhere in this sub (Reddit search ain't the best!)
I had my Pixel 6 Pro enrolled in the beta and there was an option in the drop-down shortcuts to identify a song playing. I'm now using a Pixel 7 Pro with the beta and I do not see this option. Has it been removed? I used this so much and was quicker than asking the Google assistant.
Also, I use two SIMs in my phone (both the P6P and the P7P), during calls on the P6P, on-going calls would appear in a pill-like icon next to the clock. With my P7P, I get the floating bubble when in a call. How do I get the pill-like display back?
Thanks
How do I get this phone out of the Beta program if it is not listed as an available device?
For many apps that prepare the notifications only when they need to show them, the new permission dialog will be shown too late, causing users to miss the notifications.
Example is this simple app that schedules notifications at a given time:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.geekInsideGroup.todo_voice
And what's also bad about this, is that it's documented to work this way.
I've written a lot more about this issue here, and also reported to Google here (please consider starring).
Personally I'd prefer to have a toggle to auto-grant this permission for all apps, because for me I was already satisfied with how it worked before, and I don't want a permission confirmation for such a basic permission. I even requested it here (please consider starring if you want).
