I brought a OTG cable to USB and it works to plug up my single controller and allows me to play Minecraft and GeForce now but when I plug my USB hub it doesn’t work and I was wondering if there is a USB hub anyone knows that works with specifically the ONN 4K android TV the older model

Hey guys , i bought the mi stkck tv , now i turned it on and everything seemed to be fine till i tried to install "tv Aptoide" when i hit on the apk to install it just show that its installing for a sec and then disappears , any solution?

Récemment mes parents ne capte plus beaucoup de chaînes sur leur télévision de la cuisine qu’il capte par antenne (dans le salon aucun problème ils ont la télé avec internet) vous pouvez me conseiller sur une passerelle tv qui pourrait leur mettre les chaînes tnt via internet? Ils aimeraient juste regarder la télé et j’aimerais leur trouver quelques chose sans abonnement, j’ai vue des petites clefs USB mais je sais pas si c’est bien

I want to have my google photos be my Onn Tv screensaver, but the option is not in "ambient" settings. I only have choices of art gallery or custom AI art. (then whether to show weather or time, and slideshow speed).

I don't know if I need to give permission somewhere in my google account for Onn to use the photos as "ambient" ... but i can't find it anywhere if so.

So everytime i go to playstore and try and download an app that is barely over 100mb it says insufficient external storage with 5gb free I've seen people run into this problem but no answer can someone help?

I can’t find any option to hide or disable the YouTube "Breaking News" section on the home screen. Unlike on desktop or mobile, there’s no "Not interested" or three-dot menu to remove it.

Has anyone found a way to get rid of it? Any help would be appreciated!

I have all the right power settings enabled on my ps5 and tv, my tv will turn the ps5 off but when I turn the tv on with my remote it won’t automatically boot up my ps5? My old android tv did this and all my settings are the same so I’m not sure if I’m missing something? I only want my ps5 on so it bypasses the ui so my kids don’t see stuff they shouldn’t be if they turn the tv on, thanks in advance!

I've already looked for solutions, but my TV is not "stuck" here. We turn it off, and it shows this screen after a few minutes. When you click on try again, it works fine, but the problem is always after we turn it off.

I already did a factory reset, but it didn't work.

My Android TV (S912 rooted, v7.1.2) works great over wifi. It uses DHCP and connects no problem. But the ethernet connection keeps switching to a static IP of 192.168.1.110 (my gateway is 192.168.0.x) no matter what I've tried.

Note that for some reason, there are no Android settings or menus for ethernet AT ALL. All I see is the <--> icon when ethernet is connected, and the network changes to 192.168.1.110 every time the connector is attached.

I can connect ADB over wifi and see the ifconfig information (below) and it does not show an IP address when not connected:

I can use 'adb shell ifconfig eth0 192.168.0.125' to change the IP address, but it never sticks, it just goes back to 192.168.1.110.

Stranger still, I have tried a USB->ethernet adapter and although there is a new device, it too switches to 192.168.1.110 after a cable is connected:

Is there something in the system that is overriding the ethernet connection and forcing 192.168.1.110? How can I either set a 192.168.0.x Static IP or permanently release 192.168.1.110 in favor of DHCP?

So pretty niche case. I'm pretty happy with my smart TV other than it won't play my Google Photo albums. Has anyone bought any of the cheap 4k devices from AliExpress of similar and had any joy.

I'm in the UK, which limits some of the subs more popular bargain devices.

I cannot get the screensaver to trigger. I am using Projectivy launcher. Is there a way that I can see which process is preventing the screensaver from starting? Using ADB or some app maybe?

Though Mecool still haven't made any announcement at their blog page.

I just got a new Android Box with 14.x installed.
I have however problems moving Apps to the USB stick (migration).
I did switsch developer mode on as well.. still no change. USB Drive is recognized and visible in the File manager... ANY IDEA? :/

After research here I settled on a Thomson Streaming Box 240, the European version of the Onn 4k.

It arrived today, and it is constantly dropping connection to the router over wifi. To get through initial setup I had to use a hotspot from my mobile phone, which suggests the wifi component of the device is working fine, but when I try to connect to my home wifi it won't remain connected for more than about 10 seconds, despite it displaying the signal as 'Excellent'.

This happens the same regardless of whether it's the 2.4 or the 5ghz network.

Did anyone experience this issue? How did you fix it?

I'm in the UK, on the Hyperoptic ISP, with a Zyxel EX3301-T0 router.

Any help is appreciated please!

EDIT/UPDATE: It appears this was an IPv6 issue. After searching the subreddit for my ISP, other people have experienced android app issues when IPv6 is enabled. Disabling IPv6 within my router seems to have solved this.

I will leave this thread in case someone in the future has this issue.

I've a Sony XR-55A95L since December 2024, not had any issues with it. Last night the Live section stopped working and I kept getting the error message unable to load Live. I've been looking up online following advise but can't find anyway to fix it.

Hi guys, I have just purchased the above product but for the life of me can't get it to play dts hd master audio (its advertised as being able to). I mostly use it to plug in an external hard drive to watch movies, I've tried playing movies through vlc, Kodi and the mi box media player but the best I can get is dts, however when I play the same files on the mi box s it plays in dts hd master audio - obviously its connected to the same receiver, and into the same hdmi port. Any help or thoughts would be appreciated as I just can't work it out Cheers

The option to change this in Youtube app is not really user friendly, so I'm wondering if there is a way to map the unused remote keys to automate a macro?

I’m looking to buy a streaming stick for my old non-smart TV in Estonia (or Europe) without spending too much. Could anyone recommend budget-friendly streaming sticks available in these regions that offer good performance and support popular streaming services like Netflix, Youtube, etc?

Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find any suitable options in local stores, and Amazon is not an option for me. So I’m hoping for suggestions on where to find affordable alternatives available in local or European stores.

Hi all, recently bought a z11pro max but have a few issues with having to restart the box to get apps working after extended power on and cec doesn’t work which is very annoying.

So what’s the best box to get? I can’t get an onn as I’m in the uk and don’t really want another shield.

Looking for the best bang for buck, upto $400.
