Come spring, when do you typically receive your grants / loans at enmu?
Every school is different. My previous school we didn't receive until about a month after school started. Current school - one week in we received them!
I'm planning finances for spring! Any help is appreciated 🙃
Hello! Has anybody recently taken Ann varelas prep algebra final in the past and remember the units it specifically went over?
Hi! I am looking into attending ENMU for slp grad program. I need to be on campus either 8 weeks in summer or 4 months in the fall. Does anyone know of rentals nearby the area that allow dogs? I have two dogs I would be temporarily be relocating with.
I don't know which one to take. I need a science lab class and these two are my options. Any advice as to which one might be easier for an 8 week summer course?
I’m looking to apply to the online anthropology MA program. I’m currently out-of-state due to the military. Is the cost really 401 per credit hour for out of state graduate students? Any advice about the program itself would also be appreciated!
Any input on A&P with Professor Dewbre or with Professor Allaranda Ganapathy? I'm not sure who I should take the 8-week class with. Both aren't on rate my professor.
Hello, has anybody attended ENMU slp grad program? What were your thoughts on it? Pros and cons? Were there any issues finding your own placements for practicums, particularly in Ca? Thank you in advance!!
This is a long shot, but I am trying to find this song that was performed at ENMU Jazzfest last year. It was a jazz arrangement of some classical piece that is fairly famous. The thing I remember most is the drum groove was almost if not entirely on the toms. It may have been some version of "In the Hall of the Mountain King" but I can't find which version if so. Thanks!
Can anyone give me an idea of how tough of a class CDIS 300 is? I’m working towards my first bachelors and it’s time to sign up for my next class, I’m only taking 2 classes at at time. However I’m considering taking three this next round, CDIS 300 and CDIS 310 along with the math class I’m currently in.
I have good grades, I don’t currently work, I have about 7 hours a day while my daughter is in school to do my own school work. I just don’t want to overload myself.
Thanks for any advice!
Why is ENMU so competitive when the average scores (SAT) and GPA aren't that high. I mean they are up there but an acceptance rate of 33% doesn't seem proportional to me. I don't see any essays (yet). So what do they use to admit students?
I am planning to study Computer Science at ENMU and earn a Bachelor's degree. However, I am a bit confused to which campus I should apply to. It says that both Portales (main campus) and Ruidoso have Undergraduate programs. However, I couldn't find much information on Ruidoso. I'm thinking of applying to the Portales campus but the Ruidoso campus seems to have cheaper costs. I'm an international student btw. Anything helps. Thank you!
As a full-time student, how much would the tuition fee be per semester?? I would be really glad if an alumnus or a current student answers to this question.
I'm really interested to know about it. Thanks in advance.
Who do I get in touch with regarding a class not being published on Canvas?
-RANT- What kind of “conversation” do you expect to have when you ask questions that have black and white answers?
They say “be creative and spark conversation in your replies to your classmates” but if people can’t give an opinion or make an interpretation of something how do you create conversation about the same answer you wrote???
Yes good morning I'm l0l8ng for job anybody hiring
Lady's I need help plz for exam
I’m amazed that some of the required software for courses isn’t 100% compatible with Mac OS?? For instance, Intro to Computers (which is a mandatory class and should be renamed O365….) cannot be fully completed because you can’t use access on a Mac. I think this should be in the course description so you know prior to signing up, not once you’re enrolled and get the syllabus.
Hey all! I just got an email saying a certain course of mine was cancelled but that they would place me in another one. But the first course I had was 1WW and now it's listed as 2WW. Can anyone clarify what the difference is? Thanks!
Can anyone who has taken Professor Erin Sherman from the CDIS Leveling Program give an honest feedback on how she is? I wanna take Language Disorders but kind of wary due to reviews I've read online. Let me know pls & ty.
Anyone have experience with the CS department at ENMU? Either remotely or in person. Also, has anyone had any experience with trying to intern at an in-state laboratory (Lanl or sandia etc) as an ENMU student? I'm thinking of transferring this fall so I can graduate ASAP so i'd appreciate current/former student's experience.
Hello! I just started the 2nd bachelor's and I keep reading about a discord group for people in the bachelor's and levelling programs, but no links? Does anyone have a link or some way I can find the group? :)
Hi! We are a pair of computer science graduate students at Clemson University who are studying perceptions of teamwork in online undergraduate classroom breakout rooms.
We ran a pilot study earlier this year with our own student body and would like to expand it now to other 4-year, 2-year, and online colleges/universities.

Do you have to take the entrance exam if you're a transfer student with a Bashelors degree?
4 online? Who are you? What series of bad decisions led you to portales, nm? Let's revive this sub
Edit: should we start a discord? Do we have one already?
George Orwell states in his seminal work 1984 that “In a time of universal deceit - telling the truth is a revolutionary act.” Ron Paul, a former congress man from Texas further elaborates upon this point in stating that “Truth is treason in the empire of lies.” This two sources conjointly sum up in quiet a succinct manner the reality for those who through transparency bring into the light things formerly known only by a few. Lord Acton most famously stated that “Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” Those who have been infected with the lust for power are often loath in having such power diminished. With this in mind, history shows time and again those who possess power will often attack those who bring their power and the foundations of such power under question. This perhaps is most famously seen in the powers of Galileo’s day forcing him to recant his scientific advances under threat of torture and death. While thankfully nothing so extreme occurs on this campus of Eastern New Mexico University, some members of student governance exhibit similar symptoms arising from the infection of power, as well as lashing out in similar fashion to those who proceeded them in history. Abiding by the principle Ram Dass put forth in the proposition that “The quieter you become, the more you can hear,” I have until this semester quietly watched as others acted as lodestones for Student Government’s condescension for having committed the treason of telling the truth. Being among the 42 students who showed up and observed the proceedings, it is interesting to see how things have unfolded since then, especially various senators’ actions and words. One senator stated in confidence to friends “Student Fees can’t be a public meeting, because if the students knew what we did, they would be mad at us and me, and I have a right to privacy as an individual.” There are many things seemingly wrong with this assertion but I will leave it to other writers to expound upon those, the reason I raise the matter is it is an interesting thought. If students would be mad at the actions of a board that theoretically represent the students, is that board truly representing the students? Yet another Senator was exercising their freedom of speech in stating “its stupid, either we are going to have to treat the student newspaper with kid gloves or they will cry, complain and make life hell for us.” Is this the attitude Student Governance should have when various parts of the student body raise concerns? Should not the Student Governance not try to determine the merit of such concerns in a neutral manner through open discussion, without lamenting on either side of a given issue? Perhaps this is idealistic, but why shouldn’t Student Governance be mature in carrying out their operations? I am thankful the lodestones take the heat for raising similar questions, for that allows me to sit by quietly and observe those who play to suppress truth. I will do my best to elaborate throughout the semester on my observances. That being said, for those of you my kin in spirit, will you not step up and carry out the treason of truth this semester as well?
