It was on the nutmeg mills tag Deadstock. No dry rot either!!!
Hello! Just inherited these, undecided on whether I want to sell or keep. I’m not sure how much the demand is or how easy they’d be to sell? Shipping seems dangerous. I might keep one sell one? They’re beautiful but I don’t have much use for them.
How they used computers in the 80s? Was it for just videogames, or anything? Were there computers in every country back then, or not?
From an old dairy shut down in the late 90s
[Wanted] Detailed list of hard to find vintage anything. I enjoy quite a bit, have amassed a collection of completely well made pieces many with utility and certainly style. Would like to ask you a few questions. Listen to the details that make the difference. Message anytime. TY
Edit: I’m sorry y’all I posted that half asleep and forgot to add a pic
Message if interested, or have stories/details. I totally enjoy reading/learning something new(to me). TY
Whilst browsing the marketplace I noticed an old John Wayne poster for "She wore a Yellow Ribbon 1949" for cheap. Being a fan of old westerns I thought I'd message the seller. She told me the dimensions (14x22 in) and what the paper felt like. From what I could tell it would be a movie window card. What I can't tell is if it's real or not. I know most (not all) movie posters of the Era have an NSS number. This one has none on the front from what I can tell. But the rest seems to be on par. If anyone has any tips or tricks it'd be greatly appreciated. I apologize for the meh quality it's all I could get. The seller has no idea if it's real of not but wants it gone.
Record I have loved music since I can remember. All genres, the louder the better(with great components of course). Music, film, art, antiques I have a hard time saying NO. I'm reaching a point where I understand that my passions are not shared by those most likely to inherent a collection unparalleled. Nonetheless have a clue about history/significance or worth. If you have a list or piece in any of the aforementioned categories, I would be happy to hear from you. I am a very reasonable human as well as extremely knowledgeable. Look forward in trying to help find anything vintage. My close friends have given me the moniker UNK.
Engraved Pyrex Pie Plate, made by Corning Glass Works, Corning, New York, 1936. It's been with me for almost 10 years. I found it at a thrift for $1.50. A serious piece of history. Just a drop in the bucket of all the vintage in this house and I'm not even old!! 😊
Just out of curiosity what’s the value for these? And would there be people out there who would actually want this?
I have seen photos of 1950s travel, and the ladies look so elegant. I am a lady in my late 30s, and I would like to adopt this style when I travel.
I understand that women in the 1950s traveled with train case, flight bag, handbag, and checked luggage.
I was passed down a collection of silver plated cutlery. Each piece was packaged, but not sealed in the original plastic. Most of the pieces needed cleaning, so I took them out of the plastic. when I store these again, Should I put them back in the original packaging a.k.a. the plastic?
I'm guessing early 50's, I can't find any clear specific info when I did a deep dive. Wales china - made in Japan. Does not say occupied Japan, so past the 40's. Any ideas?
