Ain’t this place beautiful?
Looking to get into dirt biking this spring/summer but don't know the best way to learn/ get into the sport. Popkum seems to be the closest place that offers a range of lessons for decent prices. Also seen Green River MX is hosting a Moto Academy lesson, but other than that nothin.
Please let me know if I'm missing something or if there's any tips for getting into the sport locally.
Hello,
I recently received a job offer and would have to commute from Squamish to the Waterfront station in downtown Vancouver, at least for a few months. What is the best/cheapest way to do this? I have a car, but it's not the best on gas (average SUV).
Secondly (less Squamish related), I am having a hard time weighing the pros and cons of giving up the benefits of my current job, which has gotten comfortable. For the new job, the commuting could decrease over time as my job could be done remotely after onboarding. I currently work remotely out of Squamish, but have worked at this job for three years and there is not much career potential. My new offer is a lower title but similar pay, the company seems to have better career/salary potential (if moving up roles, likely involving more time in-office though), but it is a start up and may involve working more hours. Benefits and time off would be lower, but the job would involve less travel to customer sites.
Any input is appreciated as I'll have to make a decision soon, and decisions are hard! Thank you :)
Hi all, does anyone have any good recommendations for a relatively private spot for dinner for 6 people?
We're having a small wedding with our parents and looking for an evening dinner location nearby.
We'd like it ideally to feel quite warm and cosy, so not a space designed for 20+ people. A small separate room in a pub would be the ideal kind of setup. Somewhere that either does food or at least be somewhere we could bring caterers to. Equally we wouldn't just want to hire a table for 6 in the middle of a restaurant.
Any and all ideas welcome!

Snowy /cold day with hot streaming dumplings?
I'll preface this with saying that I love Squamish
Squamish McDonald's holds a special place in my heart since it's been the midway point for some of my favorite hikes e.g. castle towers.
id love to spend more time and move but unsure if I missed the boat with the recent increases in properties and rent. also, the allegedly higher levels of rain compared to the mainland
mid 20 something's for reference live near coq center right now
Who shall we not buy from this week/month/year. Walmart is #1 despite having some good deals. Lets bleed them dry.
Don't allow a discounted now cost confuse the long term costs. This week discount at wally will be next weeks high inflation.
F' the US and its hilly billy mentality.
Dear valued clients,
On behalf of all Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs), we want to take a moment to address a common misconception, especially after receiving a call recently asking if I offered “happy endings”. It’s surprising to me that this is still a thing. Our focus is on providing professional and therapeutic care to support your health and well-being. We do not offer any services outside of this scope, including "happy endings."
Additionally, we’d like to highlight that terms like "massage parlour" and "masseuse" are outdated and can be disrespectful. RMTs are healthcare professionals who work very hard to earn their titles and adhere to strict ethical and educational standards. While we understand that these terms may be more common in other countries with unregulated practices, that is not the case here.
We appreciate your understanding and respect for the professionalism of our practice. If you have questions about our services or how we can help you, please feel free to ask!
Thank you for your support!
What do people think about that suggestion? And I don't think chains in your vehicle or M/S tires are sufficient. Chains are good if they're used, but no one stuck in the ditch today was using their supposed chains. And to be fair, are the couriers given enough time in their day actually to install and uninstall their chains?
I'm just baffled at the images from the sea-to-sky.
Title says it all, go.
Thursday, January 30th, 2025 5:13am. Anyone know why it smells like burnt sugar downtown? Thought it may be transient but it is lingering.
Thought someone smarter than me could tell me if it is an ecological process or someone is just really bad at baking.

Does anyone have any info or intel on District plans with what they will do with the now vacant area at the courts that used to be the old 3 tennis courts that were removed last fall?
Or maybe there aren’t any plans for that space yet? Seems like 6 more pickleball courts would be ideal with how busy the current ones are?
Does anyone have any information, rules, regulations, or tips and tricks to share on crabbing here?
I got a tidal water fishing license and have read all the regulations on size and limits but there’s some information I’m coming across that’s abit contradicting. So figured I’d post here to see if anyone knows of any specific times or areas you can’t crab besides the obvious busy docks with signage. Also as a status aboriginal does that change anything?
Just heard of this on the summit.
It’s suggested to take the back access road to get there.
Help a mama out with better directions please? Dying to take my kid
TIA
This explains why Eagleview cost me an arm and leg vs any other. Consider this when choosing to take you pet somewhere.

Anywhere decent in town I can bring my son (10) to?
Is the Pemberton Ave & Cleveland Ave a safe intersection in your opinion? For vehicle traffic light system and pedestrian safety while crossing. Thanks.
Hey guys, we need help with leads for full time day care. Our two year old has been on waitlists here in Squamish for over a year. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Such a wonderful place, I wish they came back. For those who don’t know, this was formerly on the sea to sky highway. Beside Britannia Mineshaft. (The mine is open still!)
Hi, I’m Gabriel, a builder based in Squamish, and I’ve been diving into ADU zoning, design, and construction for a while now. I’m really excited about how ADUs can address housing challenges, lower the cost of rentals by increasing supply, and maximize the potential of existing properties.
As someone deeply involved in the construction of ADUs, I’d love to share what I’ve learned about the building process and hear what others think about them.
For those unfamiliar, ADUs are also known as carriage homes, laneway houses, or backyard suites. They’re a great way to add space for family, generate rental income, or increase property value. With the housing crisis impacting so many, ADUs are being explored as part of the solution.
Squamish has some specific zoning rules around ADUs:
If you’re considering an ADU, zoning compliance is the first step and it’s not always straightforward!
I’d love to hear your thoughts, experiences, and ideas! I’ve been working on understanding Squamish’s zoning bylaws and how ADUs can be built efficiently and sustainably. I’m happy to share what I know and answer any questions about zoning or the process of getting started.
Let’s chat about how we can make the most of the space we have while supporting our community’s housing needs.
Looking forward to hearing from you all!

We need higher density solutions in order to allow for affordable housing and limit our impact on the environment.
