Hey Guys, we have 1 Satcube left in stock in our warehouse. We originally bought this for about $45,000. If you know anyone in the market for one we are looking to offload it for about $15,000-$20,000. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions
I've always wanted to be in the space industry once I got my marketing degree, but I didn't know how to do that. I love the technology and the aspirational aspect of the vision and goals this sector is trying to accomplish (particularly Earth Observation). It feels like it has so much more purpose than most other industries. Now after 15+ years of a global marketing career across industries, I'm taking the leap into the space industry. I had the opportunity to work on researching the marketing practices of the startup satellite manufacturing sector this year, loved it.
I put together a 5 minute read Notion document on my thoughts on the marketing landscape for the satellite industry after research and conversations with people in the industry. All I need is honest feedback.
Does this resonate? What did I miss? Did my marketing recommendations / observations align with some strategies you've tried?
Hi guys,
I'm working on my master's thesis in computer science, and I need to use a simulation tool for Satellites. The goal of the project is to set up an architecture where I have IoT nodes communicating with a gateway that can collect their data. Then, the gateway communicates with a topology of satellites, which will send the information to the destination of the message (which can be a broker or a server, for example).
The main elements I need to focus on are:
Finally, I will need to integrate (if not already implemented) one of the IoT protocols between COAP and MQTT.
Which simulation tool can I use for this kind of project? I was taking a look at SNS-3, which is the satellite extension of NS-3, but the documentation is not too clear to me, and inspecting the code directly is not feasible.
Do you know any simulation tool that fits my requirements?
I read an article about satellite simulation tools, and I extracted the following list: NS-3, LSNS, Hypatia, OpenSAND, FLoRaSat, SILLEO-SCNS, ESTNet. Is any of these useful for my project?
Thank you so very much :)
I've tried researching what this actually does and I know it allows satellite terminals to track more than one satellite and could help with reliability, but can someone with a better understanding of this explain it in simpler terms for me please?
Hi everyone! I'm a graduate student working on a market research project focused on in-orbit satellite refueling, and I’m hoping to gather insights from industry enthusiasts and professionals. This survey is part of my class project, and your responses will help me understand industry perspectives on emerging technologies.
The survey takes about 5 minutes to complete, and your input would be incredibly valuable! Plus, it’s a chance to share your thoughts on the future of satellite servicing and space sustainability. 😊
Hello everyone. Is there a way to get free satellite images to monitor destruction caused by the war in Lebanon? With high resolution if thats possible
Does anyone else use the Orbitrack app for Android? I purchased it on the 21st. Worked great for a few days.
Then yesterday it said it couldn't find a GPS connection.
Now today, it says I have no license. And I can't find the app on the Google Play store anymore (there's another app now with the same name but from a different company - Orbi Lab, instead of the original SouthernStars).
The support link to Southern Stars goes to a page does not exist error, though the rest of the site still exists.
I emailed the company for support. Anyone else experiencing this?
Hey all! I am a geomatics student, for those that don't know what it is, it's about surveying, global positioning systems, geographical information systems, remote sensing, cartography, and more.
Basically engineering/technology + maths + geography + computer science.
Anyways, I study about satellites a lot in remote sensing, and GPS. I'm very fascinated about how they work, alongside with the dishes.
Anything you could suggest to me so I could become more knowledgeable in satellites, and potentially have a career involving them? Any courses, software I should get, books, and things like that.
TIA.
