I have 2 8” krk monitors and a 10” krk subwoofer I’m trying to get rid of. Greece area.
If this is not allowed let me know I’ll take this down
Hey y’all, I’m new to the Rochester area and looking to braid my 3c/4a hair for the first time. Does anyone know of any good hair dressers or barber shops to try?
After I got off work I DoorDash and I ended up at racetrack on upper falls getting gas it seemed like it was crazy over there I’m glad I didn’t have any money on me is it normal for it to be like that over there ?
Hi, so I’m currently an online MSW student and I am looking for childcare/child assistance for my son who is going to be 3 in two more days. What I’m really looking for, outside of the realm of daycare, is opportunities to do schoolwork while he plays with other kids. Something that can allow me to still be there - but also complete other things while he is having fun. I’ve looked at a few potential places that may be helpful - but I’m not confident that they will work.
I don’t have a lot of money right now for childcare. I plan on getting things set up again next semester - but I just really need some short-term relief/help so I can finish off this semester and start the new one up until I get financial aid to help with childcare costs again.
Hey yall!! Just want to do a car rolling photoshoot and want to take them in a tunnel. Are there any tunnels around here that allow me to do that? Not the abandoned tunnels.
I saw on East Ave they have trees set up.
Balsam bagels absolutely blows bagel land out of the water... Not going to lie i did go to bagel land the day after Thanksgiving so I'm going to probably try them once more. But mannnnnn this place was like just no bagels at all and every bagel i got was burnt on the bottom. I have been to balsam a ton and every time it was amazing the flavor, the look and just all together much better.
Thoughts?
I'm looking for a place that sells computer cases, I looked at best buy and didn't really like any idea saw. Anyone got some advice? Not like a laptop case, but the kind for when you're building your own computer
Hi there, I’m driving back to Rochester from Boston. I’ve been seeing anticipation of snow in New York State so I’m wondering if it’ll be heavy enough that I have to leave at maybe 3 AM to get to Roc by noon or if that’s too early. It took 8 hours to get to Boston because of the snowfall then so I wanna be cautious. Thank you!
looking for recommendations for anywhere local I can get beer batter fries🍟
I love all fries (and potatoes tbh) but have a hankering for beer battered fries and am not sure where to find them in Rochester.
thanks!
Anyone seen an angel tree at any stores this year? Tried googling but they don’t list any locations online. Thanks!
I can’t come up with any good ideas at the moment but my picks are Mochinut. I remember after the one in Henrietta opened the restaurant adjacent to it was nearly deserted and eerie
Im an older dude (31) trying to find new hobbies and am looking for some suggestions on good art and cooking classes around the Greece/Rochester area. Time and day are not an issue as for what kind of classes I would prefer a more entry level if possible, as I'm a beginner overall. I did some searching but am curious if people had any experiences with any around here.Any help is appreciated
I want to start by saying, I completely understand inflation and that everything is expensive right now.
With that being said - has anyone gone to Powers to look at Christmas trees? My wife and I went there today to get our tree, like we have done for the last 13 years.
The very first tree we saw, was about a 7ft Douglas Fir. The price on this baby was $249.
We proceeded to walk through the maze of trees and found the perfect one, a fir about 5ish feet tall. Exactly what we have purchased for the past 12 years (1 year we bought a concolor). The price was about $130.
We continued to walk around and see if we could shop some more and maybe get a smaller one, but the small trees were not worth ( in my opinion) $45-$65. They were short, maybe about 2 feet once you cut the bottom and trim it. They were full of cosmetic holes and broken limbs.
Pretty much every tree we touched after that was over $120.
They also did not have any of the tree types written on the tags. They were all mixed together, and for someone that doesn't know what they are looking for could easily mistake one type for another. If you are going to have a huge price tag on something, I feel, personally that they could have taken the extra step to label the trees or organize them better, like years prior.
I also saw some family's questioning prices like "are these right??"
We took a drive about 15 minutes to Webster, stopped at Kunz Tree Farm - all fairly priced, highest was $101.
We ended up opting for a U-Cut tree at Bauman's for $60. Its a 6 foot spruce. Any tree for the U-Cut was $60. They even had some pre cut ones for you already at the actual store and those as well were going for $60. I get your doing all the work yourself which probably cuts the price as much, but like I said above, Kunz was all pre - cut and still had way more fair pricing than Powers.
I guess I'm just bummed at Powers. I have never spent more than 90 at the most there for a tree. Even last year, we spent maybe just barely $100 after we bought some little things in the store and the tree.
Looking for recommendations, finding anything has been very challenging. Most art centers seem to be either children focused, only for advanced drawers, or at noon on weekdays. I’ve looked at colleges too to no avail. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Girlfriend and I are going to a formal Christmas event and we want to be matching. Anywhere in Rochester we can go to look at stuff?
I’m a transplant and have lived here for about a year. I’m curious to hear from those of you who’ve been here longer: how has the city changed over the years? Do you think it’s gotten better or worse in terms of living conditions, opportunities, and overall vibe?
I have pumpkins and gords up for offer. If you need pics DM me and I'll get you some. Location is east Irondequoit. May be able to arrange delivery but may need help unload depending on when.
Local micro dispensary with killer buds
I’m looking for something for some classes or something for some friends and I to do. I was thinking it would be super fun to take a very low key bartending class. Are there any that aren’t like genuine bartending training schools? Or is there something similar we could do? We’re just about to graduate and we want some fun activities and good places to socialize, meet people and have fun but are coming up kinda short.
Has anyone else been experiencing cell issues (particularly with calling) today? My entire family and entire hairdresser’s salon have not been able to consistently make calls/receive calls all day. Also my mom was at the Verizon store and there was a handful of people there for the “outages”.
This is in Greece
Anyone know the deal?
My family and I are considering a move to the Rochester area. Just curious why this school seems to be so diverse even though the area doesn’t appear to be diverse. Does anyone know?
Seeking clothing shops for men around Rochester! I’ve seen a bunch of my favorite shops close in the past few years and now after only recently finding Orvis- that’s closing too.
What’s the deal with the pink and orange RV driving around? Saw it in Perinton yesterday and Greece today.
Hate to use this subreddit like a classified page, but just looking for a recommendation on a company that can do leaf cleanup. I had one company quote a price that was way too high for just raking leafs. I get that it's late in the season, shame on me. Thanks!
