UTICA — As part of the 10th anniversary Flags for Heroes event, organizers from the Good News Center invites the public to them for a Recognition Ceremony at 3 p.m. on
The guest speaker will be Air Force Col. Jon Sunray (Ret.). Sunray served on active duty from May 1978, entering the Air Force after commissioning from the ROTC program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy until September 2003.
Sunray devoted himself to a host of mission assignments at various national intelligence agencies, where he developed equipment and operational procedures to collect, process, and analyze information about foreign military capabilities. He also participated in a variety of special operations around the world that helped address national security threats.
In addition to the guest speaker, the event will also feature musical tributes from the 10th Mountain Division Woodwind Quintet from Fort Drum in Watertown and the New Horizons Chorus.
Attendees are also invited to walk along the healing field along the Utica Memorial Parkway where they can see a display of 1,000 American flags, sponsored in honor or memory of an active military member or veteran. All proceeds from the flags benefit the Sitrin’s Military Program, which provides support service members, veterans and their families.
A blessing of the Healing Field will follow the ceremony along with a 21-gun salute and playing of taps, according to the announcement by event organizers.
Anyone know of any childcare providers with openings? It anyone willing to babysit at the house. During the work week. Min 20 hrs a week, but could be up to approximately 30. Child is 2.5 years old.

Me and my boyfriend’s anniversary is coming up and we wanted to plan a nice dinner. We’ve been to Nostro and Ocean blue and they are mediocre at best. What are good recommendations for a nice dinner in the area? If you also know any restaurants in the neighboring cities and areas such as Syracuse, please feel free to include those too.
As the title says. Clipper cuts, super short but with some style, not just a man's cut but on my head. Any recommendations?
Stopping in Utica this evening and looking for the best half moons — Unfortunately driving through at around 6pm, after Hemstroughts closes. Any other recommendations? Or places where I can buy hemstroughts?

Hello everyone!
I know this is a general place for all things Utica, so I figured I'd make a post in here because I couldn't find anything D&D specific for Utica.
I'm starting a new campaign in which all the players playing will be gods at the beginning of creation.
I'm looking for just a few people to play, if you haven't been a DM before, do not reply to this comment. I'm looking for storytellers who aren't selfish problem players who meta-game or cause inter-player conflicts at the table. Just looking for a few people who want to get in on creating a universe with me for all of my future campaigns!
Hello, I'm doing a diet for a month, trying to challenge myself to eat vegetarian & low carb. Please, no preaching to me about this or that, I think this will be a good challenge for me to learn good resources for a lifetime. Where would you go in Utica for healthy eats? So far, I've thought maybe Bowl Boss, Bennu, Panera, Tropical Smoothie, Pho Mekong. Help please!
Added: Zeina's and Lafa and The Phoenician and Symeon's and Grapevine, Peter's Cornucopia, Taj Mahal and Minar, Blaze Keto pizza, Core Life, Mr. Kimchi, Moe's and Chipotle, Tramontane Cafe, Nanabi, Taichi, Sunny, and Muju
Thanks everyone 💜
The Tram is looking for someone looking for a job. I'll need you to complete an outdated application that I send you via email, you must print & physically return. If you do not have a printer, the local public library can help you. Edit: For those who are questioning our world... yes, we are a pain the arse AND we do have some fun too. I try only to sugar coat the cakes :)

Seems they didn't like the last video and got it taken down, so here's a new edit.

Stay classy, Utica.
I collect old postcards, advertisements, and other ephemera from Upstate NY. When I came across this advertisement at an antique store last month, I had to pick it up.
Senatro Paladino was an importer/grocer operating from 439 Bleecker Street at 2nd. This advertisement for their olive oil is incredible. The illustrations and the claims of purity and health that could come from consuming the product, I love the thought that went into making this little pamphlet.
I’d love to hop in a Time Machine and get a couple glugs of that sweet olive oil.
There is a small park next to an apartment building at this location now.
I grew up in the area but have been living in Queens for many years. I will be moving back in 2025 and want to get excited for the move. What are the places or things you love about Utica? What sort of things are there to do and where do you generally find out about them?
I’m not sure where to look for someone that could clean the inside of a car like new, almost like it’s from the dealer. Anyone have any suggestions to where to go that does this?
