City of Rochester Exploration Survey

Hello! My name is Hannah and I'm a New Media Design major at RIT. I created a survey for an upcoming project in my Graphical User Interface class where I'm gauging the experiences of college students in the Rochester area with finding/visiting places within the city of Rochester. The survey should only take a few minutes of your time, and feel free to send it along to anyone you know who goes to a college in Rochester! Thank you so much :)

Mental Health Accessibility

Hello everybody,

My team and I are leading a research project regarding mental health accessibility on college campuses. If this is something you have knowledge on and you have at least 15-30 minutes to talk to us about it, we would love to interview you to get your perspective on it. If you’re interested, please send me a dm so that we can get to know you a little bit and schedule a quick interview in the upcoming few days. Thanks so much!

Looking for old classmates.

I took a painting course from Tom back in 2016 and I’m trying to find the names of the people in my class so I can see what they’re up to. Horrible at remembering their names. Tom can’t find the roster from then.... any ideas on how I can find their names?

Need help from Nazareth students

Hey if you have any victims of systematic problems at nazareth college, I would love to talk to them if they are ok with sharing their story. I want to actually write about this! People need to know. It can be completely anonymous as long as they are comfortable. Thank you

Physics tutoring from a physics M.S. If you want a little extra guidance in your physics course, I'm here to help.

Why choose me as your tutor?

  • Your first hour session is free to try. So you can find out if I'm a good match for your needs and personality risk-free.
  • You'll get the individualized attention you need to help you best to learn. I keep a binder tracking notes and progress for each of my students.
  • I come to you. I'll meet you in Rush Rhees, somewhere in Bausch & Lomb, or some other public study space that's convenient for you.
  • I hold online "office hours" two evenings a week, where all my students can ask me specific questions via IM as they study or work on their homework problems.
  • I served as a teaching assistant while in graduate school, giving me experience teaching and grading as well as tutoring, so I have an appreciation for both ends of the classroom experience.
  • My rates are competitive with other local private tutors, and potentially up for negotiation.

My degrees:

  • I graduated from Pittsford Sutherland High in 2008.
  • I earned my BA in physics at Oberlin College in 2012.
  • I then received my Master's in physics this May from LSU, with a 4.0 GPA.

Stressed about finals? Take a break and come to "A Taste of the World"

Hey guys! I am a senior at Naz taking a course called "Aging and Community Service." As the name suggests, we have to complete a community service project. My group is hosting an event that we have worked on all semester called "A Taste of the World" with the help of the Monroe County Youth Bureau.

"A Taste of the World" is THIS SATURDAY, December 7th from 3:30 to 5:30 in the Forum. There will be lots of performances that showcase a variety of cultures and age groups.

All people are welcomed! Thanks for spreading the word and we hope to see you Saturday!
