Does URochester offer interviews in December? I was just checking the online interview slots and all the interviews for November are booked up. I don't know if they're just not open rn or they just don't have any during that time at all and I want to make sure that I can get an interview in before RD
I'm taking UR orchestra course for credit. How strict is the grading/attendance? Seems like they don't gaf about attendance as long as you don't miss multiple days.
Over the past few weeks, I've seen UB Stampede busses driving around College Town, i.e. around the UR campus. I was curious if anyone knows: why is it here?? lol
Is there a sporting event requiring shuttling? Did UB simply loan UR a bus after a UR one broke down or something? (I'm not aware if the UB bus stops around town but it might)
I applied as ED1 to U of R and now filling the portals of other unis. When did you received your portal link for U of R
Just emailed the office to change my original plan(ed1) to ed2. Would it hurt my chance cuz I showed them disrespect?

Hi guys!! This is my second time posting on here. Im a high school senior and UofR is my top school (I applied early decision 1, received a junior scholarship for $5,000+ a year, did my interview, and just recently got nominated to be a Handler Scholar). Furthermore, I got selected for an overnight stay program next month (which I shall not be naming incase I can’t for some reason) and I still don’t have a clear vision of the bathroom/dorm arrangements. I’m gonna be staying on campus for two nights. What should I expect about the bathrooms/dorm arrangement? I don’t know if I’m gonna be with a student in a single or with 2 students yet but can any current students give insight? Thank you 💙💛
Those of you who have had undergrad interviews, what questions did they ask? And what tips would you give?
Hi, I'm a highschool senior who's currently working on their URoch college application! I was wondering if there were any students majoring in Cell & Developmental Bio or Neuro (my first and second choices) OR students familiar with the REMS program that I could PM for some advice for the supplements & school experience. Much thanks!
Hey Everyone!!
I was wondering if anyone took lab classes that are online for/as a pre-requisite for the School of Nursing. I want to know what is y'all experience. As for how the professor grade and the lab report evaluation? Was the professor lenient? I am taking 3 lab classes for Microbiology, A&P 1, and A&P 2.
Is there like a hose anywhere?
According to the syllabus, "personal initiatives are considered". Is this actually true or does the prof stick to purely numerical grading?
Has anyone taken chem 275 chemistry of poisons? It sounds really interesting but I don’t want to take it if it’s really hard since I already have a decently heavy course load next semester
I’m a senior who hasn’t taken psyc 101 and thinking of doing a psychology class for fun next semester. Has anyone taken either psyc 282(psychopathology) or 227(forsenic psychology)?
I'm a sophomore majoring in cs, and I plan to take CSC 242, 210, and one additional CS course. I'm debating between CSC 280, 246, and 252. Is it necessary to complete 242 before taking 246? Would it be manageable to take them in the same semester?
I am relatively new. Handicap: 35. Start to play recently. I hope to have some golf buddie for this weekend
Hi all,
I’m a grad student looking to earn some extra money. I’ve been doing genealogy for 10+ years, and so I thought maybe I could offer this service as a means of extra income. Does anyone know where I may be able to advertise this or where I can find potentially interested clients?
Thanks in advance!
Hello, I am an international student (non resident) interested in applying at URochester ED. I heard that they offer 100% demonstrated need for admitted students no matter of their nationality. Is that true and how likely is that I would be accepted and get financial aid ( I can pay between 10-15k)? Also what would be some recommendations?
I have 4.0 gpa and not much in extracurricular expect varsity athlete, presidential scholar, and some clubs.
Anyone know when it is?
Alright so here are my stats, l am a junior at a private high school in California. I will have around a 3.64 weighted gpa and will have taken 3APs and 1 Honors. My extracurriculars are pretty strong and include, president and founder of a club as well as a company grossing significant revenue, various volunteer positions including a school service club, I am employed at a major luxury goods dealer (working on their website) and have done some online courses with Cambridge, Hillsdale etc. (Not sure if it is relevant anymore but I am a white Jewish guy from a financials well off family.)
hey y'all!! i have a question. I've heard that some schools allow you to see your letters of recommendation if/when you get in, but i wasn't sure if UR did. im not in yet (im applying ED 1 for the fall 2025 term, please go chance me on my other post im sending my app in Friday and im so nervous) but i wanted to know if i was allowed to see my letters of recommendation if/when i got in. i asked 2 of my fav teachers, my 11th grade AP Lang teacher, and my 11th and 12th grade honors and AP 1 &2 Physics teacher (my physics teacher actually being my fav teacher ever). my counselor is writing me one as well, and she knows me very well. all of them know me really well and i rlly think they probably wrote me some super strong letters (particularly my physics teacher). i cant lie, im kinda nosey and would also really appreciate some academic validation lol. was anyone allowed to see their letters? lmk!! :))

Hey, I’m planning on taking MTH 300w over the spring next semester, but I can’t seem to find anyone who has any info on how the class is like (exams, hw’s, readings …). So how is the class like, and what should I expect from this course?
Hi! I am a sophomore intending to major in neuroscience, I would like some advice on whether NOT taking intro to neurobiology as a sophomore would jeopardise my degree, i just realized i need it as a prereq for all my other neuro courses however because i am still fulfilling the prereqs genetics and orgo and stat and a cluster this fall i thought that it would not affect much. i will be booking an appointment with the college advising however any advice from a current neuro major would be helpfull. tysmm!!
i want to apply for the fall 2025 semester and they sent an email regarding the virtual interviews but unfortunately i wasnt able to sign up in time because theyre all booked. how often do they organise these virtual interviews? id really like to participate
