Hello all, im a ford guy so I don’t know if this is a dumb question or not but I’ll ask anyways. I’ve heard all the stories about challengers, chargers, and Trx being stolen a lot. Is this the same with like 1500 long horns, Laramie, limited etc.? Thanks in advance.
I have a 2018 Ram 2500 with the 6.7 cummins and a 68rfe. Im leaving the truck on stock power and will tow its rated capacity from time to time. Should I put some upgrades on the 68rfe or is it worth swapping in the g56?
😍🥰
I notified you can’t build mega cabs with gas motors anymore. They are diesel only. Anyone have insight into why?
So there is metal shavings in my 2014 ram 1500 5.7 Long story short idk what to do here are my options:
1: let dealership replace cam and lifters for 5k 2: I let them use their parts and they replace it for 7k 3. New engine 12k 4.i can get a semi new engine for 3,400 63k miles. I wanna go for option 4 but I don’t want the same thing happening to the new engine with the lifters being fucked…
Is there a way to disable the idle shutoff feature on 2019 ram 1500?
Ok, I've been struggling with an issue for two months;
I replaced all of the cables and wires that touch my batteries. They were all old and falling apart. Everything is brand new, all of my grounds are 100% clean solid and tight. Nothing was added or subtracted, just replace with new and better quality components.
When I got everything back together, the last thing I had to do was install the fuse for the fuel pump. Well, I put the fuse in and the pump started running immediately, with no key in the truck.
Turned on the key, engine turns over, but won't start, dash says "no bus". When the key is turned OFF, my parking brake light and WTS light come on and will drain my battery.
I have checked everything, every fuse, every relay, every wire I can see. I found low voltage, ~5vdc, at fuse #17 in the junction block. I tore apart the junction block and there is nothing wrong inside, all circuits are intact.
I can't figure out what to do next. I don't know what else to test. I don't know what else to inspect. I don't think it's a bad PCM, I think I have a wiring issue somewhere. But I have no idea where or why since nothing I touched is incorrect or damaged.
Does anyone out there have any idea what's going on? What to check? I'm losing my patience and am about to put a torch to this damn thing if I can't get it going soon.
Hey all, hoping to get some help locating the RF hub on a 2011 single cab Ram 2500. I know on the crew cabs the hub is behind the back seat. I am upgrading my manual locks and windows to power and have everything working after salvaging parts from my local junkyard except power and remote locks.
I want to make sure I have the hub before I activate everything through alpha obd. I searched the truck I have been taking parts from and I can’t seem to find it anywhere. TIA
Hello everyone, I hope your day is going well. Just now, I found big problem about my 2023 RAM 3500.
When I turned off the engine, locked the door, and came out, I realized that my car's display was blinking.
My vehicle has a welding deck instead of a truck box. All the lights are off inside my vehicle.
If anyone has been through this or knows anything, could you please share your solution?
Have a good day,
Just got my first ram and the day I brought it home from the dealer the windshield cracked. Still excited though
My ram just had the blue def system replaced and now needs a new engine because the dreaded heater grid bolt damaged it.
Thankfully it's still under warranty but wtf. [I'm barely over 50k miles.]
I've had it in the shop more the last few months than in my driveway.
Hey guys. Idk if it's just me or not but the factory speakers in my 19' 2500 tradesman just aren't loud enough. I know absolutely nothing when it comes to upgrading audio systems and what I should be looking for
So this is going to sound weird but I had to buy a new taillight. And after installing it the screen on my dash is stuck on trailer select for the blind spot alert. I can’t select either only flip between the two options. Has anyone else experienced this or might know how to troubleshoot and get it back to normal?
Was tinkering on my truck this evening, checking on some stuff I need to do some maintenance on. With just rolling over 150,000 miles I was thinking about doing some suspension maintenance. Ball joints and general check out of bushings hubs etc.
The ride comfort has not been terrible but I know it could be a little better. Any opinions? Thinking maybe just go ahead and swap out shocks, and do a coil and strut upgrade in the front. Looking at Bilstein 6112's. My truck was purchased used I don't believe there is a lift. But on the of chance someone through a small spacer block
1 I want to make sure I don't lose how my truck sits now so the adjustable bilsteins will be useful for that. And 2 I'm curious if anyone has had these installed and felt good about them? I've never had any issues with Bilstein but still.
Looking at buying a 50k-75k mile Laramie or Limited.
Learned on here about the exhausts manifold and back glass leak. But after renting a 23 Grand Cherokee L with 15k I’m more hesitant… hearing its suspension over bumps while turning (ex. pulling into a slightly raised parking lot).
Hi all,
New to the Ram family. Have a 2018 Ram 1500 (sport?) with the 3 piece rear window with the power middle window. It's already tinted to 15% I believe, possibly 20% but my son gets blinded by the sun when it's a little lower. He's still rear facing and there's another child on the way. Just curious if anyone has found any decent fitted options that are budget friendly. I'm considering DIYing some sort of fabric shade that I can slide when I want to use the back window but just wanted to check if anyone has any other options. I know I'm safe going with darker tints without any legal issues because it's the back, but would prefer something that with actually block the sun a little better for him.
Thanks
Just picked up a new-to-me 2019 Ram. Level 2 package with HK stereo, ACC, etc. As well as towing package, chrome package. 8.4" Uconnect and no sunroof. Pretty much exactly what I'd been looking for. 80k miles, one owner, for $28k. I think I did ok.
Hi guys. So my truck's A/C has an issue. When I drive it cools well, but when I idle sometime it stops blowing cold air. I have fixed a leaking before and replaced the fan. So Im pretty much sure that I have the right amount of freon in it. The dealer recommended me to replace the A/C compressor, which cost so much. But I still feel that there is another cheaper way to fix it, especially that it is damn cold when I drive around. Any suggestions?
I went up in size from 325/60r20’s.
Do you know if it's possible to put a 6.4 hemi in a 2018 Ram 1500
Hey guys I have a 2020 Ram w/ the parking sensors and I’m looking to change out my rear bumper to a color-matched steel one that allows for the sensors.
What’re you guys running (w/ good performance) and what’d you pay for them?
Getting opinions from the experienced here…
I’m in the market for a truck and have admired the rebels from far. There is a 2020 with level 2 group upgrade to it with 97k miles selling for 36k at a local dealer.
Would you pull the trigger on this? What questions are you asking? What concerns should I have outside of the obvious miles related ones. Any specific warranty needs I should be looking to add if I purchase?
Thanks in advance.
Does this sound too high or is it about right?
Thanks.
Based another redditors tragic recent theft, I just rabbit holed. I have a 2020 2500 with the big hemi. Been at it for an hour or so. Big tires and I can’t afford a big boot, but found an old post on a forum about pulling the fuel pump relay.
I’m going on a multi-state (including Fl, where the other guy had his stolen) trailer trip where I plan on being away from my truck for extended periods of time fishing. Decades ago I went to college in a theft ridden city and always pulled an ignition wire from my pos at night and when it was going to be unattended. Cheap piece of mind. Thoughts on an easy equivalent for my RAM?
If anyone was wondering.
